Howler -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/21/2008 20:30:02)

I just put myself on the list for image editing. I probably won't be accepted D:

TreadLight -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/21/2008 20:42:15)

I've signed up animation.

Hopefully I'll be accepted soon (if anytime at all).

Saerokeon -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/21/2008 21:11:09)

I signed up for vectoring. Grafh is the lucky one :P

BreeMote -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/21/2008 22:51:37)

Bwahaha, Pheonix isn't too bad.
I played around with it for a little while.

I prefer Photoshop, though. Much easier to find all the tools.
And it is a bit slow as it's the internet.

Did you get their vector editor?

I really enjoy this. I was hoping I'd be able to use that awesome node-based filter system but apparently no such luck.

Can't wait for the AIR version to come out, that's going to be great.

Trip -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 1:51:47)

Pheonix Is Ok =D
i wanna Try the vectoring one

Sonicbeam -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 4:21:47)

I got Phoenix.

Cool Dragonz -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 5:15:37)

The only one in my thing which said Launch was Phoenix, Image Editor. But that's wut I need, so :D. (Btw. is it just me or does this site really look like someone's real name ;D, don't say who "someone" is please ;D)

Krieg -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 5:57:55)

I had signed up for Video Editing (need an alternative to Movie Maker) and had gotten Pheonix so I guess Starling isn't available yet. Looking at their forums, though, it seems Peacock is available.

I marked mine as animation but I really want almost all of them

jiggibidy -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 12:24:39)

^^Same here, they all look good, how do you access the programs anyway? I requested an invite, but I haven't got an e-mail about it yet.

Mo -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 13:15:33)

I think you go on tools and there will be a launch

EragonZZZZ -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 14:10:18)

Okay, here's what I've gleaned from poking around their site a bit:

1. You sign up for the beta test. You'll receive an email with a link to create your Aviary account in a period of time, from a few hours to a few days.

2. You will be granted access to Phoenix, regardless of what option you said you were 'interested in' when you signed up for the beta.

3. To gain access to further programs, you must show yourself to be proficient in creating things with Phoenix. Apparently, the staff are releasing programs step-by-step. With every release, they choose several people to invite to the beta of that program.

This is just what I've figured out...it could probably help clear up a few things.

Peregrine Falcon -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 16:16:54)

k i have one question... if i signed up, will i get a invitation for sure?...or do they just choose random ppl to give the invitation to?...

EragonZZZZ -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 16:38:24)

I'm pretty sure everyone gets an invitation...seeing as they have no way of knowing who you are besides that you're interested in their product.

Cool Dragonz -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 17:28:05)

I don't understand one thing though, how do you save, and reopen a file another time? I'm really stuck with this :(

Peregrine Falcon -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 17:28:51)

ok thanks you...now i have to wait....

they could Choose Randomly Who To Pick
And I was Reading If you make something Cool WIth the Program and Post it on the Forum Sticky they will Give you in Invitation or Tools

nolraitru -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 23:10:40)

Yeah, for now if you do something neat with the program, you'll be given the other programs open for beta.

Hopefully, I can get something nice out there.
I watched that Meowza kid do stuff, doesnt' seem too complicated. My computer just hates Flash :3

I've got five invites as well. Though closer friends get first dibs, and I've got a few AKs who'd like to mess with this ^^

AND 1 -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 23:42:18)

I signed up like 3 days ago, and nothing. :(

_Depression -> RE: Aviary [beta] Freeware (2/22/2008 23:56:19)

They said something about when your "invitation code hatches" they send it to you. Might mean that they have something that randomly chooses who to send the invites to, or perhaps it's a randomizer for how long it is before you get the invite. Either that, or it's just a clever way of saying that they'll invite you if they get the chance.

bleh. nothing yet for me.
