hmm....

I seperate them like that because that's how they are boxed in the clue.

Scartiger -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 13:57:33)

Erm, as far as we know it IS sign language... numbers???

shadowultimate -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 13:59:06)

quote:

It's not sign language, or at least, not standard sign language.
It is sign language, its just the finger movements used for numbers.

Erm, Maybe Letter in question (x) 2?

Sir Dorigo III -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:00:45)

if we figure out what 7, 8 and 9 are equal to i think were done. but are they equal to something. or are we going about this wrongly?

shadowultimate -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:01:58)

Hmm, I think we're rushing too much.
We are definetly sure of what the finger movements mean. Correct?

now just to translate it.

Un67 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:02:19)

Using the earlier number translations:

16 7 14 7 9 6 8

7 19 15

11 (random jumble of numbers here)

12 14 29

8 11 16 2 6 8 11 11 8 17 7 16 11

8 18

25 7 9 26 9 27 9

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:02:46)

Shadow, the biggest one still adds up to 63 :P

Dorigo, it's likely that they are encrypted even after that, although, who knows?

Sir Dorigo III -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:03:43)

whered you get that?

and tornato: probably. but idk wut else we could do

Un67 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:04:18)

You can divide the big boxes up, do you see the little squares on the really big one? Looks like section indicators to me.

omega zeron -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:04:28)

Right, they love making it incredibly hard.
Someone wanna give me the low down on what we have as far as theory?

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:05:49)

Hmm... fal said "series"... hmm

shadowultimate -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:05:59)

The theory is that the fingers are sign language for numbers, and we currently worked it that it was this combination.

79777968
778487
8370758971
8477 714881
87488268656589787674
8477
678479707890827469

This was 99.9% correct, as i'm sure they used the symbols from the same pic as me :P

omega zeron -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:07:13)

Looks pretty hard...

Anyone tried using the background as a clue. Im pretty sure its easy, were just missing it completely.

Un67 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:08:28)

I still think it is 1 = A -

16 7 14 7 9 6 8

7 19 15

11 (random jumble of numbers here)

12 14 29

8 11 16 2 6 8 11 11 8 17 7 16 11

8 18

25 7 9 26 9 27 9

Can someone at least try turning this into letters with 1 = A?

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:10:38)

29>26

Un67 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:11:57)

Oh right.... well at least can toy try to translate the first lines?

Nevermind, not 1 = A, put it into something at I got

P G N G I F H

G S O

K (random jumble of numbers here)

L N 29

H K P B F H K K H Q G P K

H R

Y G I Z I 27 I

ChrisX -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:15:04)

Umm, guys. I once, in 2nd grade, was able to translate those things into letters. Let me try to find the book i used back then years ago to translate it.

If not, since we got the numbers, try doing this.

1. Get a Yo-Yo.
2. lable one side edges 1-24 in order
3. Lable the other side A-Z in order
4. try putting A with 1, then 2, ect ect. This'll get tons of combinations.
For the 4 letter words, try the combinations till one has that 4 letter word makes a word that makes sense.

Chris, we don't even know what is a word yet.

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:19:32)

Scartiger, I had 0=A

HJH HHJ GI
HHHEIH
IDHAH FIJHB
IEHH HBEIIB
IHEI ICGIGFGFIJ HIHGHE

GH IEHJHA HIJAICH EGJ

also, it's likely not to be a simple one to one substitution.

Scartiger -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:20:55)

ok, good, we have one translation with 0-A and one with 1-A... we can use those... maybe
Well, I'm going to a carnival! good luck... and I hope I make it back in time to solve it...god

Un67 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:20:59)

Wait, what if we go right to left, or top to down or something? Who said we start at the left and end at the right?

ChrisX -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:22:51)

One of the part of the mystery has 4 hands only. We can use those to try to solve the mystery

firedog150 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/1/2009 14:30:15)

Not that this would help, but the file name is messsigntemplefin2.jpg.

Does that mean that the signs are a mess?

Or that it is in the form of a temple?
