I didn't ever really like the idea of using timing in a turn-based game... For me it sort of defeats the purpose and strategy.

What baffles me today when I started playing is the graphics. I may be an idiot, but i'm rather sad of certain graphical changes, like the sphinx. Just doesn't seem that much like AQ... I mean, I don't play AQ for realistic graphics, I play it for the nostalgic kicks I get... ;)

I remember getting my ass handed to me by the mauler all the time, my Frost Crystal Shard and ice golem form, And even before that I remember back when there was no server cap, and the game was laggy sometimes and would disconnect constantly while trying to kill monsters.

Frost crystal shard was one of my favorite weapons of all time. I remember when I summoned the crystal hound for the first time and he came flying out of nowhere leaving me quite confused. Like I had any idea what a "special attack" was . Pssh

I miss the good ol days of 2006, especially frostval '06... the best I've been to.. love my bunny jammies...

I also miss the old days of the Devourer storyline, back near the beginning of it that is. so much wonderful buildup... rich story, wonderful humour...

the mystery of it all was exquisite. In the end, I was somewhat dissapointed by the devourer storyline, it just didn't have the strength that the beginning of the story did.

but I digress, those are the things I miss the most.

i miss the greatest AQ legends [:(][:(] there were the main three, thoes were zureal,furyp, and pur3vil. but since thoes are gone many more r have come and gone..like ubear, illumintor, and donkerskaduwees, but recently there has been more then ever more legends before, like menegas and galogalo09, seeing these first generation legends brings me back to a greater time in AQ's histroy =D

I miss the time where we got new monsters in The Void during the Thursday release, back when there was only one monster in The Void at the time. I was always so excited to see what the staff had made up for that week or which awesome monster got released :)

I remember the first time I gat Z-tokens as a random drop after battle. I was shocked!
I went on a Z-token farming rampage... for all of 30 minutes until I gave up on trying to get more z-tokens to show up.

All in all, after 5 years of playing, I think I've accumulated about 300 tokens from drops now, that's just a rounded estimate though, could be more, could be less.

I remember when I was a noob in 2007 and I didn't know what stats did or how to make a good build. I remember how i would only use energy weapons and the wonderful day my parents made me a guardian.[:D] Now all it is is boring farming.[:(]

Doesn't seem that long.

I seem to remember fighting a dragon with some kind of ice weapon when I first started.

Seeing Zorbak's wedding really takes me back to the first time I visited his Hideout. There wasn't all that much there at the time (pretty much just the Twilly vs. Zorbak battles and the Mu-Glen mission), but at the time I enjoyed it.

Now that I think about it, about 3 years ago I was finally getting close to having the cash for the Reign Plate, back when it was 700k. (Yes, I know someone will interject about how Uber plates were once worth a Million, but still, this is MY nostlagia, not theirs). Took forever, especially since this was long before the Gold/Exp buff, so I spent weeks on end farming the recently released Fairwind Spring, struggling against the Legends, and hoping for that illusive Treasure Chest worth 900 gold.

It'll be 3 years on the 28th since I got that lovely plate, still one of my favourite armours.

Travis it makes sence, that you would save 700k gold for Reign Plate in 2007, since IIRC the prices of the ubers were reduced in May 2007 :)

Anyone else remember Ask Zorbak? I remember it was kinda fun and happened every 2nd week or so for a months or two and then it just stopped :(

Wow, now i remember when all the ubers costs 1 mill or something like that, and golden plate and gilded (golden plate of legacy now) were available in Yulgar's Shop ! and i had Gilded when golden set quest was released, helped me a bunch through that tough quest ( then) , aah good ol'times :D

Aye. Of course, I blew my refund on Nemesis Mace (which I ended up selling a few years later), so I had to get most of that 700k from scratch. Took forever, but it was definitely worth it.

Indeed. It went for a couple months, died out, got resurrected in the Zardian, and now that it's gone, AZ is pretty much just a memory.

Frostval 2007. That was such a beautiful event. The wars took forever but hte threads did not. I seem to recall people like Shirefolk, Zacky, Paladin Dracomancer (he got banned right?), UZ, Ult. Supremacy, Kosfira, Shadowreign, myself and coutless others. I also remember Cookie CocaCola.

Also any wat in late 2007 and early 2008 went by at the speed of light thanks to the archslayers :).
