Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (8/7/2011 14:34:41)

A quick question, but is there anyone else who misses the interior of the log house? I would love to see it re-used for an upgrade, if there will be any.

Sounds cool, but i have 3 characters with rare faces from the wf thing and i dont want to lose them :D
One is a hood, one is a space helmet, and one is a face with a weird eye and stitches going thru it or some thing.

Where do I get this?, and it'll be nice if the museum had a use

Tha Killa -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (8/7/2011 14:46:26)

Those are rare faces that can't be obtained anymore and the museum will have to do something with rares.

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (8/7/2011 16:02:46)

I too miss that interior D.D.

If it were to be a part of a bigger establishment I would rather enjoy that.

Maybe, with a house bigger than a mansion it could be used for a patio of sorts?

JFX -> When is the museum ready? (10/10/2011 16:43:22)

I once paid good Z-tokens and bought a Museum for my estate. Must have been years ago. It wasn't ready then and isn't ready now, but it draws resources.

When will it be ready? As a quick fix perhaps Resource Consumption could be set to zero?

Merged with the official Houses with Estates thread. -Kaelin

afterlifex -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/10/2011 16:53:14)

If you allow your museum to come under attack it will no longer cost resources. As to when or if anything will be done with it..as you said it has been some time. There were plans but we have had basically no contact with Capt. concerning housing in a long time.

JFX -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/10/2011 16:57:39)

Ok. Thanks!

furney*catch -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/10/2011 18:35:03)

Well it's been a couple years and my museum has never come under attack........so I do not think the onus is on the player for that.

afterlifex -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/10/2011 19:12:43)

^ that would be do to you having a lvl 15 guard tower and all thous guards, so that does fall upon you for not foreseeing that issue.

But alternatively you could just remove it.

edit: it's unlikely that Capt. will modify it's cost again for such a trivial matter that has at least a few solutions.

Deer Elk -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/10/2011 20:04:26)

Or.... You could just remove and add the museum until it is "only" level 3 which comsumes no resources...

I am begining to see that you really lack any critical thinking skills. Of course I did not start out with a level 15 guard tower or any guards for that matter but you think that even if I would have defended the museum(which I never did) that I should have forseen that the operation/fuctionallity would not be implemented for YEARS. You lack any objectivity in your rush to disregard any real concern that players bring up.

afterlifex -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/10/2011 21:05:37)

well yes you should have know when buying the museum that it did not have a function as of yet & there was no time frame in which it would. All this was made known.

Knowing the base function of an estate item is also no too much to ask, the item has an upkeep cost, up keep costs aren't active when invaded.

So what do you do with an item with no use from the start and an upkeep cost?

edit: you having a lvl 15 GT specific are not also doen't matter, it's that fact that your actions in some way do have an effect on your estate and how it functions.

alabama_pitty -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/11/2011 20:47:17)

Just out of curiousity, does the Museum have to be actively on your estate to be able to get you the... Artifacts, or whatever mysterious object we are being given as compensation? Or can I store it and use an actual functional building, like my Guard Tower? :p

afterlifex -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/11/2011 20:50:04)

^ no, only owned

alabama_pitty -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/11/2011 20:51:44)

Guard Tower it is then. Thanks, afterlifex.

Honestly, I am not too bothered by the Museum's several-year wait period. We were told it might be a bit of a wait when it was first released, and... Well, we were told the truth, right? :p

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: When is the museum ready? (10/12/2011 5:43:51)

After all this time, we still cannot enter any of our estate buildings. That's a pity, I was really looking forward to that. Especially keeping an eye on Kabroz so he cannot go causing mischief during work hours.

@alabama_pitty: I put it on my mental S.O.O.N.-list a long time ago.

dr jo -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (10/12/2011 6:28:56)

Think some pictures showing the bosses of paxia would go nicely as rewards, what do think

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (10/14/2011 2:55:02)

Pictures are okay but I would prefer to see a real update to the housing.
New buildings and underground plots......
Museum function....
etc.

I also checked out how to start a building if you can't buy tokens, by following the token drops of some characters .
For 5 characters it is possible to get a Forest or Beach Tiki hut after 4 weeks by playing for 2 hours per day and doing 11 Ballyhoos per day.
With an average token earning of :

273 per week
273 per week
347 per week
294 per week
314 per week

So in a couple of months it should be possible to buy the lowest level estate. ? I'll post an update when it happens.

Although in my view the best way to start is to buy a guardianship for each character then use the tokens you get from that to begin your estates.
Not many players would have the knowledge to do this. I suspect most would "waste" their tokens on weapons before knowing better.

theosenia -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (10/14/2011 8:04:02)

By buying guardianship n using the extra z-tokens is how my 2nd got her estate.
My third however just farmed tokens for the Beach Tiki Hut,then got the Beach tiki with estate n bought all the buildings through Ballyhoo n Farming...As long as u play time passes n it is possible to obtain a decent estate without buying tokens or just buy some at the beginning.

Also now that due to my 2 mains I know that the museum is not much of a use I just got some extra food n/or energy producing buildings for that plot.e.g u can have a Darcovia estate with both energy collector AND dark mana collector.
You can have the graveyard,the vegetable guarden AND the corn field....this way you get more resources n faster to use during wars!!! [:)]

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (10/15/2011 20:58:03)

I agree Sigmund. I wish the Captain would take an apprentice or something to help him with his work so that he could focus his Staffly powers and possibly get the museum done by next year or so.

I'd like to have it for more than a hindrance that takes up my resources. But so goes life.

Question: Can the Staff look at every character's museum and establish what day they bought it? Maybe that's doable because its a token item, but I was just wondering how they would manage to compensate each museum holder based on how long they had it. Is anybody privy to such information? Many thanks.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (10/15/2011 21:26:05)

^ yes token item purchases are tracked.

Now i didn't think they were tracked to the point of selling as well but they must be for what Capt. said.

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (10/15/2011 22:30:07)

Alright good to know.

Thanks for the help Afterlife.

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (10/16/2011 9:26:54)

It is now almost 3 years since the Museum was introduced so anyone who bought it back then is due to get about 1000 somethings that the Captain suggested last time he spoke about the museum.

It would have been good to see this Suggestion come to something.

Edit:
It is hard to beleive that houses have been around for 5 years but even harder to beleive they have not really been upgraded in the last two years.

I guess that the upside is that the Token values have not been capped yet. [:-]

If the value is ever capped I would suggest 5 times the original purchase value. This will allow Tents to be upgraded to Tiki. Tiki to Cabins etc.

Bizarro Sephiroth -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (10/16/2011 9:33:02)

^ That would have been awesome as I am a bit of farm game addict as well.
Also sharing with other players would have been fun too.

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (10/16/2011 11:03:09)

@SIGMUND: It's weird to think about it, especially since the Captain used to be so full of the castle idea, but from what I understand there's more chance of ever getting our own alien kingdom.
