Master K -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/17/2011 13:34:49)

Gotta love houses.

I bought my Forest Log Cabin Estate last March, and I sold it today for a profit of 1000+ Z-Tokens. Gotta love free Z-Tokens. I would've waited longer, but i'm impatient.

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/17/2011 18:07:40)

Yeah I still have most of my tokens from years ago, they're safe and sound in my estate.

So... I'm wondering, game mechanics being what they are, if it would be impossible to have a guard as a house item that got stronger as you leveled up and improved a certain stat. Like a certain mage, warrior, ranger type, a beast master type.

Perhaps there could be multiple options of each. Like a wandering mage, renegade warrior, master bowman or man of the hood (/cliche), the only version of a beast master type I could think of would be falconer. And perhaps that could specialize in attacks from afar? I don't know.

Perhaps this house item could also be sent in wars to get a few kills? This is just a speculation for fun's sake but I'm mainly wondering if it'd even be possible to implement. That's what I really want to know.

The Beginning.

The Middle.
http://forums2.battleon.com/f/fb.asp?m=19885341
The End.
Okay so all five of the characters now have a Log Cabin Estate and they are beginning to upgrade the four basic buildings.
Vegetable Garden, Woodshack, Stone Pit and Mana Collector.

I am taking some time to upgrade the four equally to level 2-3 and I begin to save time on resource collection before I can upgrade the building again.

If you need 30 hours to collect 30 food, with food production of 2 that now takes just 15 hours. Well you get my point.
If you leave one building to just produce 1 of any resource it will take far longer to upgrade things overall.

There is also the invasion rate to consider.
If you push one building to level 4-5 although you could get more resources from it, it will begin to be attacked more than you can defend. So resource collection will actually begin to go slower than if you only upgraded to level 3 and had fewer attacks and periods where the building can't work.

But back to the Token situation:-

At this current rate of Token earning it would be another 2 weeks before I can buy a Trade Hut and three weeks after that a Guard Tower. It would be several months before I could consider buying Store Rooms.

However the best option would be to buy tokens to reward my hard work and get the Estates running smoothly right now. [:D]

My conclusions:
While it is possible to begin an Estate by earning Tokens it would be much more efficient to buy 10000 Tokens and start your Estate almost immediately. [;)]

Shiba -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/25/2011 7:29:46)

how much Z-Tokens does it even cost to maintain a whole estate? right now I have an estate with the basic stat (un)trainers, just for convenience sake of untraining skills as an Adventurer... but how much does it cost to buy the buildings, upgrade them, have an army etc?

heh, I love my amount of Z-tokens :) selling my estate and other Z-token items will give me 22k of them, I think, and I've never bought any :P

tommy2468 -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/25/2011 8:33:02)

I have a question that is probably gonna sound really stupid, but:

How do you send guards to war?

I have a Forest Log Cabin and:

Battle Stat Trainer (Level 8)
Woodcutter Shack (Level 10)
Vegetable Garden (Level 10)
Mana Collector (Level 10)
Stone Pit (Level 9)
Guard Tower (Level 8)

When I go to the Guard Tower and click on Guard I go to this menu that show Select Battlefield: and Select Option:

But below the selections it says Your guards are not powerful enough to use

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/25/2011 8:34:30)

^ you have no guards so you can't use that function.

some gold guards are:

quote:

Guard..........................Level
Dragoncat Guard (G)..... 25
Nightraider.................. 8
Nightraider..................35
Nightraider..................65
Master of Evil..............60
Ice Dragon...................39
Red Dragon.................38

tommy2468 -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/25/2011 8:36:04)

Oh thank you Afterlifex I realize my mistake now, I thought it meant the workers on my estate. Stupid mistake [&:]

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/25/2011 9:08:45)

Remember Afterlifex and everyone else.

You do not need to have the Storage buildings or the Corn Field etc,.

so the minimum Token cost to send Armies to wars would be

3100 Forest Log Cabin Estate
300 Veg Garden
300 Wood Shack
300 Stone Pit
300 Mana Collector
4500 Mega World Portal.
1500 Portal Painting of Kairula or Trescol
Total cost
10300

However it is all much easier if you have a Trade Hut
Total cost 10800

.....and a Guard Tower
Total cost 11800

then if you just want to send guards to the war you could go for this option:-

3100 Forest Log Cabin Estate
300 Veg Garden
300 Wood Shack
300 Stone Pit
300 Mana Collector
1000 Guard Tower
Total cost 5300 plus an undefined amout for the guards that you want to have.

But remember if you do decide to use guards the ones below about level 30 are fairly bad,
they hardly count towards the battle strength that you need, so you will need to spend a few thousand Tokens to get a decent Battle Strength.....

Edit:
@ Shiba there is no Token running cost for Estates once you have bought the things that you need for your Estate. The only Extra cost is to upgrade to the biggest Estate , the best buildings as described by Afterlifex. Or the most high level Guards that you can have.

Edit
To get all the guards I have, you will need about 104700 Tokens [;)]
Giving me a Guard attack strength of 8301 in a war. They would cost 6640 Food, 1660 Wood and 1660 Stone
or a total of 9960 resources to send to the war, but I almost never use them for wars. My MWP armies are better.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/25/2011 9:37:43)

Since he said "how much Z-Tokens does it even cost to maintain a whole estate?" I included everything for a max estate.

edit: i would also disagree about the corn field with it provided 41 resources for 1,000 gold. Not only does it take the place of Fishing Pond, Vegetable Garden & Mana Collector(total of 900Z) outright with 11 resources extra(5 food and 6 energy) it leave other slots open. But yes for the purpose of the "cost" of 100Z it's not the cheapest vs the 3 total.
(gold investment not counted[&:])

edit: corn costing a ridiculous amount of gold and resource in comparison to upgrade.
(6 one way half a dozen another)

JevL -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 6:54:08)

What is the point of having an estate?
I've got:
Corn Field
Guard Tower
Lumber Yard
Mana Collector
Mega World Portal
Stone Pit
Trade Hut

But why, aren't there better things to spend my z-tokens on? The only thing I use it for are wars.. I'm thinking of selling these things..

theosenia -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 8:36:46)

The choice is yours,of course n yes! During wars is where most of us do use our estates...but just thinking that during that period a full resource estate could give a char up to 300k xp (N that is even after hitting his exp cap ) I wouldn't callet it "worthless" myself! :-)

Supermxn -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 9:08:46)

when you have reached lvl 136 like I will when the next war starts, is it fair to call it useless then? :p no worries, gives me lot's of fun and I have stacked it up so heavily with guards I never get attacked so it can just stay there as long as I don't need tokens for something else which I don't think will come more than once a year!

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 9:11:35)

Useless no not really it still nets you 45%+ of your gold cap(max resources) in the first day and more then that over the entire war.
There "may" be other feature in the future but that is a waiting game.

JevL -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 9:35:53)

Ok, but to make 'profit' I should have better guards.
I have checked this http://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=18512756 guide.
So I want new guards, should I just start on the top of that list. Or what guards should I buy?

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 9:39:29)

Guards help keep you from getting invaded as well as increase the power of the guards you send to war(mega world portal is better(& don't use guards)). So "profit" only in that your resource production isn't interrupted.

As for that list yes, the the ones at the top give you more bang for your buck. The lower on the list the more of a waste of tokens they are.

JevL -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 9:45:45)

Huh so my guards doesn't matter for my MWP? But when I attack with it I get not much wins.. How can some people still have like 1000 guard wins?

Dwelling Dragonlord -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 12:05:18)

@jochem1001: Either they have better guards or you were looking at army wins.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 12:08:07)

The mega world portal use the reputation from the world paintings. To get the like of 1000 army wins you need max resources(7000 each) and to be using rep 7.

edit: and to be clear there are guard wins from the guard tower and army wins from the mega world portal. I doubt you are looking at guard wins with 1000. Rather you are likely looking at army wins.

stormraiser -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 12:43:29)

I 1000 wins from the tower is more than possible. I'm sitting at 800+ this war and don't have full storage or a full trader hut. If I had spent more time working the numbers and doing trades I think I could have easily made 850. Give me full storage and a full trade hut and 1000 becomes a given.

Bizarre Flecks I had >1000 guard tower wins.

This is why I haven't had a MWP yet, I can't see the advantage...

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 12:45:22)

was that over the entire war or just the first day?

edit: over a whole war a MWP gets like 13xx-15xx

edit: but you maybe right it might be possible, but it's not as likely.

edit: Bizarre Flecks was a very long war, so it's beyond normal. But yes in such a case it was possible.

quote:

Bizarre Flecks: Mostly Harmful:
306 character, 2112 army wins

JevL -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 12:58:17)

How can I get 7000 resources!? storage buildings?

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 13:01:32)

correct with 2 max lvl storage buildings you can get a total 7000 resources each.
edit: but I would wait on thous till you have everything else you need near max.

helloguy -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/27/2011 13:07:25)

quote:

Bizarre Flecks: Mostly Harmful:
53 character, 2306 army wins

its totally possible
