SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 2:42:07)

So Character 3 had 2 Z-token profit on his Forest Log Cabin on Sunday
This character is my "hare". He rushes ahead and bought the first Forest Log Cabin Estate.

Wood is always a problem so he bought a Woodshack and at level 1 is slowly producuing wood.
Monday 121211 and he has enough tokens for my Vegetable Garden, which is level 1 and producing. It is now 22 hours until I have enough resources on 141211 to make his Woodshack level 2.
Then I will be held back by lack of stone and power production until I can earn enough tokens for those buildings. It does not look like I'll be making a Guard Tower before Frostval Ends.......

The other characters need to wait a little longer for their Beach Tiki's to reach token profit.....then they can get started. [:D]

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 12:40:09)

SIGMUND: Do you think its worth buying a portrait or two on a tent or tiki hut to help the total value of said house or to just not spend any tokens one gains from drops until that character has enough for something more substantial?

My girlfriend is trying the game out and is a level 41 or 42 mage and has a Forest tent and possibly like 350 tokens. So I was just wondering. We both get on the character whenever time permits to get her some levels and do ballyhoo and such. Anyways, I was just wondering what your thoughts were.

Do portraits even bring up value? Or is it just resource equipment?

helloguy -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 12:43:25)

i just wish there was a something we could do when our estate is maxed on all resources and not in a war

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 12:55:50)

Trading with castles [:@]

No but like has been said before, possibly buying out some kind of mercenary? Or maybe even a sort of gleaners function where a production tradeoff could ensue.

Allow gleaners to take a portion from the corners of your fields in return for some kind of service?

Fisto -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 13:35:52)

I've all but given up on these estates. I pretty much sold all my guards for tokens, haven't bothered to defend the building's that have been attacked, actually I think all have been attacked at this time.

I see no reason for me to constantly check and keep up w/ my estate when they've been neglected for so long by the staff. Don't get me wrong I'm extremely thankful for all they do and have done, just saying the estates have been neglected for far too long.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 13:39:20)

About the only use of it is to get like 200k gold max extra during a war....while it's not bad given I hardly play it's also not that good for so much investment. But it's not like you have to watch estates that much.

Fisto -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 13:56:01)

You do if you sold your guards like I have...[:D] as soon as I defend it, it gets taken right back over. [8D]

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 14:02:30)

I think its a great investment in tokens. You get to keep your tokens and watch them as they grow in value as long as you're smart with them.

So for me its keep your tokens and watch them grow vs. spend them on something that you'll either outgrow in a few levels or will be topped in a few months.

I realize for the 136's out there, the outgrowing part seems irrelevant but you will almost always end up sellign said item eventually. And it will be for less tokens. Whereas these tokens can give you gold and exp back. Just gold in your case.

That and it's another something for me to do. I like having my own place in a way.

SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 15:26:07)

Phrixus: Paintings are only really helpful for teleporting to different parts of AQ. The value is not added to the value of your house.
As far as I can work out only Token guards add to the value of your house to put you on the Top 100.
Edit: sorry Phrixus, yes I think buildings also add the the value of Estates for purposes of the Top 100.

If you don't want to Teleport anywhere,you could buy paintings that you like to look at once in a while. Although you can save the tokens and visit the Encyclopedia to see the same paintings.

Fisto: Having plenty of guards to protect your estate and resource production is always a good idea. [:D]
In wars you can earn several 100K of gold and experiance. If you are unable to personally fight in the wars due to lack of playing time you can also really help the War meters with your Guards or MWP armies.

The more wars where you send guards or MWP armies, the more value your Estate as a whole will become.
Equally if you decide to change builds quite often having either of the trainers will save you a lot of time and some money. Although you would have to change builds more than 3 times each year to really save any money. [;)]

There are also a few more gold guards that you could purchase Fisto, but they probably will not reduce your invasion rate very much.

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/13/2011 19:24:55)

Hmm so resource production items don't add to the token value of your House/Estate? I thought they did.

Thanks for the info SIGMUND.

Anyone know the value of the top home? I know a friend of mine has a mansion worth 78k and it didn't even place 100 lol.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 3:26:09)

Since there are a few new monsters in RA, some show up in houses.

Darkovia
Undead Elf(135) (edit: and a 993 LS was not fun)

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 3:30:14)

Hmm I know I probably won't be seeing the level 135 variant anytime soon but I'll do some hunting around Frostvale when time permits and see what I can find.

If I can run into a Diretooth there why not another dark monster that obviously belongs in Darkovia? Totally not complaining though.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 3:32:46)

ya, not sure if it was intentional or not, frostvale got a darkness wolf and darkovia got the ice wolf(rider).

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 3:37:15)

Really? That's almost comical. Ha.

I'm trying to decide which one is more fun to kill and which one I'd rather have raiding my estate.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 3:43:59)

and now DarkZard(2) (lvl 100)

edit: Phrixus I forgot darkovia also has a diretooth(120)

krazy demon child -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 3:50:46)

I just cleared my estate and I ran into a level 135 darkzard, a level 135 trobble, a level 135 banshee (it was just a regular banshee.), and an undead elf (2) level 100.

I really don't like the idea of having max level trobbles and zards.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 3:52:05)

So we did get at least most of the new monsters then.

edit: banshee was probably in the last group with:

forest demon 126
wolfrider 126
diretooth(120)
molten beast 130
wood golem 132
werebat 135

edit: so far in this group we has seen:
Undead Elf(2) (lvl 100)
Undead Elf(135)
DarkZard(2) (lvl 100)
DarkZard(135)
Trobble(135)
Colossal Amphibious Oyster(125)

krazy demon child -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 3:57:24)

I dunno I had never seen it prior to today and I almost constantly have to clear my estate.

I'm almost certain that it came with the latest batch of monsters.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 3:59:59)

It was made with the MS set so it's likely it came out when the rest of them did.

krazy demon child -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 4:04:04)

Guess my luck has been pretty good so far and I just haven't had to fight one until recently.

I just realized that we're nearing the 3 year anniversary of the museum, do you guys think there is ANY chance of getting an update of some sort? I would be ecstatic if we did, even if it were just some information regarding the museum.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 4:08:14)

Ok, darkovia even got Colossal Amphibious Oyster(125)

so what's left the gargoyle?

edit: things not seen so far are:

quote:

135 Energy Mantik
135 EnergyZard
135 Undead Knight
137 Gargoyle
138 Flame Fish

not that I expect them to all be in darkovia

krazy demon child -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 4:10:52)

Doh, I knew I was forgetting one monster!

I believe I ran into the gargoyle a few days ago but I can't quite remember what level it was exactly.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 4:18:10)

well I am done for now if anyone runs into the others let us know or if they can confirm the gargoyle.[;)]

BexnDan -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 7:00:31)

There was an Elite Darkzard (120) attacking my fishing pond.

Phrixus -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (12/15/2011 11:15:52)

Yes Afterlife I fund the lvl 120 Diretooth all the time these days. I haven't been finding much of the new monsters of late but that's mainly because Kibbles has taken over.

I'm guessing you don't run into Corpsesickles and Frost Wraiths in Darkovia?

I'm right there with you KDC, I don't like the idea of something so small and at most times minuscule being so high level. I'd prefer it be a monster that grabs my attention a bit more. t least worthy of something 135.
