GK goku -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/9/2012 19:43:01)

I just want th' bigger mansions wit' more stuff in them. th' bigger 'n more expensive th' better. It might sound odd, but I really love big expensive places.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/9/2012 19:56:41)

Corn Field +25 and +16
Lumber Yard + 18
Fruit Orchard + 25
+10 building (stone)
Storage Building 1
Storage Building 2
Guard tower

(in one week 7 days (168 hours)

140 hours to max food(7000)
2688 energy after 7 days
3024 wood
1680 stone
a total of 14,392

Just the resources to break even on rebuilding the MWP and T.hut would be 1500

14392-1500=12,892

while:

1. Mega World Portal
2. Corn Field 25 + 16
3. Lumber Yard 18
4. Stone Pit 10
5. Guard Tower
6. Storage Building 1
7. Trade Hut

makes:(max 4k each)
4000 food
2688 energy after 7 days
3024 wood
1680 stone
a total of:
11,392

a difference of 1500 and I didn't count the resources needed to rebuild any resources producers.

There is also the 48 hours for the first option to make back some.

They are just too close to bother with when you consider your also burning any gold you make off the first option.

There is more to this yes but not 200k worth of gold more.

edit: so "Effective"...maybe just barely better..maybe...Efficient...no way.

Dragoon23 -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/9/2012 19:57:03)

@TRB: I'm not seeing how that's optimal as at lvl 140 with maxed out estate you earn ~ 150000 gold which is not enough to cover the cost of upgrading Trade Hut and MWP again. You'll be constantly losing gold with this set up.

My goal for this part of the guide is to maximize earnings from wars.

@below: IMO, the cons outweigh the pros so I'm not gonna add it to the guide.

TRB1965 -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/9/2012 20:36:56)

Never said it was the best setup to earn gold. But it is the best setup to earn wins in a war. In the long run, you would earn more wins this way. Is that worth the effort? Probably not, but at least with the idea being out there, someone took the time to do the numbers.

Gotta think outside the box on occasion.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/9/2012 21:13:30)

You could also think about trading your Fruit Orchard out once food capped but then you would end up trading it back once the war started, so again you might gain more resources(not many, if any). 28 hours of less then 10 resources probably won't outweigh the resources it costs to upgrade things.

edit: forgot about having to put 2 buildings back, it would be something for over 1 weeks of gain.

darksampson -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/10/2012 11:40:33)

What is this I don't even.... BUT-BITS have invaded my estate!!! It wasn't enough that they take attempt at our lives in RA and quests now the vile creatures even attack us in our own homes. Surely they have earned the title of the most wretched and despised creature to have ever walked on Lore. I for one shall not stand for this any longer, when grenwog comes around they shall pay the iron price for their crimes! [/overreaction]

Its nice to have a little more variety when clearing out my estate... but seriously... bun-bits? Why the lvl 95 versions at that? I'm lvl 140, atleast have them scaled properly. Hopefully more mobs are added to the pool so I don't have to see so many of these abominations. -_-

My Pain -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/10/2012 19:06:43)

Just came back to the game after a long break, how long has this Deren Mansion been out for?

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/10/2012 20:04:09)

^ less then a week.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/11/2012 0:43:32)

"tons" is an understatement when each guard tower lvl is worth 200 lvls.

edit: as for the last comment keep in mind unless you have thous tones of guards all your buildings will almost certainly always be invaded. An estate will already low production can't afford that.

Rhowena -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/11/2012 2:50:15)

And if you have the Z-Tokens to buy enough guards to make up for the lack of a guard tower, you can afford a bigger estate.

Darquess -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/12/2012 10:12:09)

Im starting to regret suggesting the kingfdoms, castles and manors....

But really, somthing needs to be done because there is no incentive to buy a house, yet everyone does buy them. This is an apparent waste of alot of gold.

I dont know what they are going to do, but with just one person on AQ team working on it, it wont happen.

Ever.

afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/12/2012 10:17:19)

^ when you gain something in return there is incentive, just for owning the house you gain Z-token interest. Then there is the mega world portal or guard tower which with the investment of tokens and gold into the estate allow you to gain exp and gold.

So no we aren't doing this for no reason.

20k tokens, yet a copy of (16k)darkovia in terms of plots and inventory slots?

Yeah, I noticed that too, and I'm kind of disappointed in that.... ~arcangelgabrel

quote:

Ya I`m kinda disapointed about the no extra slots thing. Really the only real use for me is the extra Energy and Food Production. ~dragonmasterz

quote:

I wish they could add a little more stuff to the new estate considering the cost is 20,000 tokens.

Like 1 more plot slot and more bag space and 1 new building to add, nothing much. ~RKC

quote:

Also, I decided to give the Deren Estate a miss (at least for the timebeing) since there's no increase in the number of plots or storage slots over my Darkovia Estate, and all my current buildings would be set back a level. ~Lord of Nightmares

quote:

So yes, it's worth it. Although I strongly believe that players should have been given more benefits from Deren Estate. Maybe one more plot, maybe some more options, more potions (thee heee you get 20 vs. 35 max, so you gain nothing). Well, the water monster is kinda cool. Yea, it's inferior to the Essence Dragons (pheee half), but it's still fun to fight a monster in your Estate methinks. And the second board is a copy of the first one, so it shows nothing new. ~Kleet

quote:

2 resource buildings for the deren mansion are a great addition too, especially when they are about food and energy.
Wish it had an extra plot too. ~MEHEHEHEHEHE

Well, I'm gonna be the rallyist here(and the scourge of this discussion) and say that quite a number of people think the new house might need an extra plot/inventory space or two(myself included)... I still wonder what the extra 4k tokens are worth for? (other than the MC bonuses of the unique armor and weapon) given that:
  • the dark rider now applies to all estates,
  • you can only use one weapon at a time, depending on your build,
  • the farming spot still doesn't rival essences no matter what level
  • and the temp weapons/armors of the other estates will be revamped eventually, making their value with respect to all estates equal)

  • Msm -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/13/2012 11:48:53)

    In all honestly it isn't even worth purchasing the new estate if there is a new house release within about a year assuming you're upgrading from the 16 000 estate to the 20 000 estate. So at y being the estate profit after x weeks, y1=160x, y2=200x-2000, it takes 50 weeks for them to break even on tokens, that coupled with all your buildings needing to be re-upgraded (guard tower especially at 300k gold) http://i.imgur.com/62CSa.jpg

    All that said I'm upgrading anyways, gives me an excuse to cash out current interest and I've been playing on and off for enough years now that one more wont hurt.

    SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/13/2012 12:10:10)

    I love the new Estate.
    Lovely new city Art and the good new interior.
    Plus the New Monster to play with.

    All worth 4K tokens as far as I am concerned.

    Extra spaces would be good but the Museum was supposed to take care of your rare item storage needs. Maybe there is finally a Museum update due out quite soon.......???

    But Realistically
    1. The Deren Estate gets 40 extra tokens in interest every week. 160 tokens a month. 2000 each year. I would say that is worth it.
    2. Then it gets extra resources from the new Deren Wheat Field.
    3. Which means more kills during a War and therefore more gold and experience rewards.
    4. It also means faster time to full resources after a war.

    5. We could now have a short war every other week.... ending on the Tuesday and a lot of players would have full resources by the Opening of the next War 9 days later.

    MP -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/13/2012 14:26:48)

    Does anybody have an idea about when the Deren Estate will get onto the top 25 estate list? [8|]

    zippy2010 -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/15/2012 12:42:04)

    what is the current limit of resource production on the deren estate?

    afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/15/2012 13:11:37)

    ^

    IIRC...

    70 food
    10 stone
    10 wood
    67 energy

    before any upkeep

    zippy2010 -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/15/2012 13:27:41)

    ^^those are some good numbers. Thanks

    With my Museum almost being level 10 again I removed my Guard Tower to get a better chance at it getting under attack. So I thought with my amount of guards it would take awhile to do so. Boy was I wrong. Every night now I have at least 3 buildings under attack. So I don't think any amount of guards is really going to be able to replace the effectiveness of the guard tower. [&:]

    afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/15/2012 13:36:22)

    ^ they could yes but you would need a massive amount of them(high lvl at that). Each lvl of the guard tower is 200 guard lvls.

    Even with my guard tower I still get 1 (lvl 10) building invaded every other day or so.

    Deer Elk -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/15/2012 13:51:44)

    My Guard Tower is at level 7, and the only buildings that I can recall being invaded in the last 6+ months are both of the storage buildings and the Trade Hut. I do have a lot of guards though... Ideally, I'd lower the guard tower level some more until it consumes no resources... But at the moment, I'd like to keep the Z-tokens that I have just in case something that is a must have comes along.

    DE

    Smackie El Frog -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/15/2012 14:12:06)

    When I have my guard tower at level 10 I never get attacked. And when I say never I mean it. Not even my storage buildings got attacked in over a year. That's why I was suprised at how effective the Guard Tower is

    SIGMUND -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/16/2012 14:15:17)

    Full resources already so where is the War? [;)]

    afterlifex -> RE: =AQ= Houses With Estates - Discussion (5/16/2012 14:36:20)

    Since i changed estates I still got a while till my estate is maxed....

    Deren Mansion Estate

    Deren Wheat Field: 35 hours till lvl 10
    Storage Building: 164 hours till lvl 15
    Storage Building 2: 164 hours till lvl 15
