The Slime-On-Face Saga





To get some kind of structure, here's how all of this will be posted:
- NPCs, Talks and Sidequests
- Main Quest Chain + War
- Monsters, weapons, Shops and Items
- Descriptions (since my scanner is broke I've described characters, new monsters and the town.

Also have to point out that Weishaupt's Side-Quest-Chain about the illuminated ones will be edited in soon. Just didn't have time for it now. Decided to post what I have this far.

[Roralil History]:
Weishaupt: The Roralil have the same Origin as all slimes in Lore. Where this Origin is I can’t tell you though; you’re no slime.
Weishaupt: However, the Roralil does not have an element the way other slimes do. In that way we are different.
Weishaupt: The other slimes never really accepted us for what we are, they only saw us as different, and not in a good way.
Weishaupt: So we couldn’t stay at The Origin. Nor could we join the brotherhood of our element… since we don’t… have one…
Weishaupt: By all things shiny, this time was hard for us.
Weishaupt: Do you know what it feels like to have a stat-page where it says “N/A” as element?!
Weishaupt: Ehm, sorry.
Weishaupt: Anyway, we were offered this sanctuary by a magician. In return we work for him now and then.
Weishaupt: And participate in his games.
Weishaupt: He loves to play games.
Weishuapt: He has this friend… we don’t know the name of the friend, but we call him “The Cloaked Crusader”.
Weishaupt: They play a lot, mostly The Master usually bothers The Cloaked Crusader by stealing something he likes, and then he’ll leave clues and riddles in his path, for The Cloaked Crusader to figure out.
Weishaupt: When The Master isn’t playing he writes letters, and well, does a lot of other things as well.
Weishaupt: We’ve been with our master for a long time, and we like it here. Our Master is good to us.

The hero is sitting on the griffin-dock, happily singing a song and looking at the clouds, trying to find patterns in the sky.

Zorbak walks up next to the hero.
Zorbak: *cough* What are you doing?
[Character]: *blushes* Nothing, just… looking around. Did you know that I can see my house from here?
Zorbak: Meh.
Zorbak: I thought you were interested in that suspicious shadow on the horizon.
Zorbak: If you aren’t forget I said anything; I’ll take care of it…
[Character]: What shadow?
A distant shadow in the horizon is approaching the griffin-dock.
[Character]: Holy Zeuster!
Zorbak: Why do your outbursts always have to be so lame?
[Character]: Oh shut your pie-hole for once, why don’t you?
[Character]: This is sewious bisnizz.
*Hours Later*
A not so distant shadow in the horizon is approaching the griffin-dock.
[Character]: It’s kinda close now.
[Character]: I should tell someone.
The second the words are spoken Cysero jumps down from the tree, landing beside the hero.
Cysero: No need *grins*
[Character]: Do I even want to know what you’ve been doing up there for so long?
Cysero: Probably not.
[Character]: Do you think we should be worried?
Cysero: Nah, my experiments are proof of death… deathproof…
Cysero: I mean. They’re safe. Superspecialawesomeutterlytrustworthywithcherriesontop safe.
[Character]: *stares*
[Character]: I mean the shadow. Judging from its current pace I’d say it will be here before sundown.
[Character]: Should we wait until then with deciding what to do or…
The shadow turns out to be a slime, which crashes straight into the hero, landing on his/her face.
[Character]: Ouch.
Cysero: I think we could just ask it.
[Character]: Getitoffgetitoffgetitoff!
Cysero grabs a hold of the slime and tug at it until it comes off the hero’s face.
Slime: Globb-globb burrrr.
[Character]: Great good to know *sighs*
Cysero: I think the poor thing is cold.
Cysero: Don’t worry; I’ll take care of this. I happened to invent a slime-heater the other day.
Cysero: It was meant for cake, but I think it could work for this too.
*the eyes of the slime get twice as big as he stares*
Slime: *twitch*
Cysero: *pulls out a mug and turns it upside down above the head of the slime letting the liquid pour over it*
Slime: BLAAAAAAAARGH!
[Character]: …
Slime: Thank you. I feel much better.
Slime: My name is Weishaupt, and I come from a town called Mesile Bro. It’s located on the borders of Dragesvard.
[Character]: And you came here to randomly crash into my face…?
Weishaupt: You might think that, but no.
Weishaupt: We have lived in Mesile Bro for a long time now, and our lives there are great.
Weishaupt: We work for The Master, and he is very good to us. One day we got a letter from Ms. H. Slidepath.
Weishaupt: She offered us work further up north in her village.
Weishaupt: Many of us didn’t want to leave, but after some time we decided to all travel there together to talk to her about the offer.
Weishaupt: Little did we know this would be our doom.
Zorbak: Doom-di-dum-dum, this is boring. I’m out of here.
Weishaupt: Ehm… good bye rabbit like creature.
Zorbak: Meh.
[Character]: Don’t mind him. You were saying…?
Weishaupt: We wandered north, not expecting it to get so much colder, so fast.

The hero reaches the end of a field stretching out further ahead of her than it’s possible to see. Close there’s a frozen Roralil, ahead there’s several hundred more, all frozen in place. The sky is dark and the northern lights dancing above look ghostlike. In the horizon, barely visible through the spiraling winds that roar across the land, high mountains reaches up towards the sky. At the borders of the field the outlines of a forest are reaching out towards the mountains in the distance, a bit up on one of the mountains a faint light seems to be gleaming in the darkness the stormy evening has created.
[Character]: Ehm, I’m just gonna grab the one closest here and…
Unknown: SCREEEEECH!
[Character]: AAARGH!
[Character]: *looks around*
[Character]: I’ve defeated very dodgey mushrooms, so you better show yourself before I get mad!

Weishaupt blushes, and glances around as if he’s planning to avoid the question.

Weishaupt: Both the Caped Crusader and The Cluer used to be in King Alteon’s army.
Weishaupt: Let’s just say they were thrown up due to them not being able to settle their differences like normal people.

The screen moves to the right and shows where a robotic unicorn, connected to marionette wires is eating on one of the frozen Roralils.
Weishaupt: You… you monster!
Hallie Slidepath: Hey, hey! I can’t be held responsible for what my pets eat!
[Character]: Sorry to reveal this to you… but you’re the one holding the control bar to that marionette.
Hallie Slidepath: Pfffft. He still has a mind of his own.
Robot Unicorn Marionette: Omnomnomnom.
Hallie Slidepath: He says it tastes like Ice Cream.
Weishaupt: I… tr… trrruss… ssss… ttttt… dddd…
[Character]: Weisy, are you okay?

Weishaupt then managed to jump towards Hallie before he freezes, and lands on her face. As the slime covers all of her head it starts freezing, and she’s instantly trapped in a mask of frozen slime.
Hallie Slidepath: *muffled screams* Geddiiitfoooofffff!
[Character]: Oh brains, and I don’t have any fire spells left…
Hallie starts running back and forth waving her arms in desperation.
Hallie Slidepath: Aaaaaaiiiiiiiirrrrrr! Brrrrrreeethheeee!
[Character]: If you hold very still I could try to smash him off with my weapon!
[Character] raises weapon as if about to hit.
[Character]: Although, I don’t want to hurt Weisy…
[Character] lowers weapon again. The same second a fireball comes flying and hitting the frozen Weishaupt. He instantly melts off Hallie’s face and fall into a pool at her feet before he can resemble himself. Hallie backs away and punts in Weishaupts direction but misses him.
[Character]: Wow, now almost all of us are gathered. Thanks for the save Cluer.
The Cluer: Heh, aren’t you a feisty one, Miss Slidepath?
Weishaupt: Master!
Weishaupt: You saved me! Clob harght hay-gag glov-g!

Descriptions

Monsters:
Sock-puppet: A light-green sock puppet that reaches the hero to his/her knee. Black buttons for eyes and a happy smile made out of white stitches. To the right there’s a white patch stitched on, probably to fix a hole. Stitches for mouth and patch are white.
2nd Version: There’s also a red version of the sock-puppet. It has green buttons for eyes and an orange patch stitched on. Stitches for mouth and patch are yellow.
3rd Version: There’s also a blue version of the sock-puppet. It has white buttons for eyes and an turquoise patch stitched on. Stitches for mouth and patch are black.

Slimified Sock Puppet: It has the same design as the sock-puppet, but with parts of red slime clinging to it, not all over it of course. Parts of red slime seeping out from eyes, and some parts of the body; the red slime goes for all three different colorings of the sock-puppet.

Slimified Undead: Just like the classic Zombie Design but with parts of pink slime on its body.

Escaped Cloak: A black hooded cloak, about as big as a normal character. All black, hanging in the air, minding its own business.

Captured Thug: Looks exactly like the good ol’ Renegade Scout Design but with shackles ‘round his wrists.

Redalf: The classic Squishnox design, but black.

Roralil Elemental: With the normal Elemental Look but Roralil-ified. Which means purple with lighterpurple/pink swirls and a brighter purple in the “gem” on the forehead.

Marionette: Version 1: A tiny version of Trouble, attached to strings. The strings are attached to the bar which is floating above the marionette, controlling the puppet with magic.
Version 2: A replica of Robo-Uni is attached to the strings (for description of Robo-Uni see “Descriptions > NPCs > Robo-Uni”)
Version 3. A tiny version The Cluer (for description of The Cluer see ”Descriptions > NPCs > The Cluer”). The strings are attached to the bar which is floating above the marionette, controlling the puppet with magic.

Cubified Roralil: (for description of an un-frozen version of Roralils, see “Descriptions > NPCs > Roralil”) The Cubified (/frozen) Roralils are obviously based shaped on slimes, but instead of dripping, ornamental and roundish they’re more ice-cube-like. They’re just… cube-y allover.

Uni: Uni is a robot unicorn, so he’s colored in a metallic silverish color. The mane and tail is rainbow-ish and his eyes are light blue. He’s covered with nails keeping him together, and from time to time he breathes small puffs of smoke.

Tar-Tar: See > NPCs > Tar-Tar

Library Rat: A sophisticated part of the VurrMan tribe, always wearing glasses and a hat.



NPCs:

The Cluer: He’s wearing a light green, overly decorated hat and a dark-green coat covered with question-marks. His boots are silver-ish and glittering, as if someone’s glued sugar all over them (maybe someone has). His hair is black with streaks of gray, and his eyes dark, with a hint of yellow.

The Shadowy Silhouette: No features are seen. It’s just a black silhouette against the starlit, winter-y night. Long wavy hair twirls in the wind, and the she’s wearing a long coat and boots. And goggles. This is the only things possible to see.

The Stalky Silhouette: A small, roundish thing. Tiny ears and tiny legs. Nothing else is visible, really.

Hallie Slidepath/The woman: She has long white, curly hair. She have a long, simple black coat, that ends just at the ground. Her boots are quite simple too, ‘cept for the silver-buckles. On her head she’s wearing goggles. Her eyes are dark, her skin pale and her lips forever in an ironic smile. Strapped on her back is a sword, of which you can only see the very futuristic handle and the rest of the blade that peak out is wrapped carelessly in what looks like toilet paper. In her left hand she carries a small control bar for marionettes.

The Caped Crusader: A man all dressed in black and wavy capes. Not much can be seen of him except for the black of his clothes and mask.

Roralil: Shaped just the same way as the other slimes and globs of Lore.

Redalf: See > Descriptions > Monsters > Redalf

Haika Figwit: A quite transparent dude. He has big curious eyes, but a glass infront of one of them. He’s wearing a loose-fit black shirt with a green-ish vest. His hair is dark and messy, and his trousers are black, but fading out in nothingess. As he’s, well, a ghost.

Tar-Tar: A small, wide-eyed, constantly-shaking, brown rat. Normal rat-size.

Blargh-sephine: A kind looking woman. She has long brown hair kept in a pony-tail and gray eyes. Her dress is dark red with long sleeves, and on top of it she’s wearing a white chaperon. But the left part of her is completely covered by a purple Roralil slime. There’s one eye from the slime visible, about where Blargh-sephine’s left eye would’ve been without the slime. The rest of Blargh-sephine’s body can be seen faintly through the slime.



Maps and surroundings:

Starting Room: Two houses, with a space between them, seemingly leading to a glade. To the left of the opening of the glade is Weishaupt standing. One of the houses is the Town-Inn, and the other one os the Mesile Bro barber-shop.

Room Straight Forward > In the glade > Griffin Room: The Griffin Room, with a mighty Slimified Griffin, a griffin ramp so it can take off properly and beautiful nature. At the “end” of the glade you can see beyond the tree-tops and glimpse a castle.

Room to the left (from the Starting Room seen): Two houses. The Town-Library, and a closed off house.

Room to the right: Nothing. Beautiful flowers plus a few Sandylion’s and Dandytiger’s standing along the path staring viciously at the people passing by.

Room to the right of the room to the right, also called “Room to the right 2”: The closed-off, private Cape-Cave can be seen in the left “corner” of the room. Outside of the cave a big, black slime (Redalf) is standing. To the right in the room there’s a kind of ragged old temple, partly covered with vines standing. The lights are on in the windows of the temple.

Description of the basic look of the different shops/houses:

Mesile Bro Barber ShopA big, metallic questionmark (taller than a normal DF-character) in a scissor-covered room. The questionmark has arms with razors and scissors sticking out here and there, looking somewhat in between murder-machine and odd statue. On the questionmark there’s a note:

The Inn: All tables are empty, the chairs are placed kind of everywhere. Total disorder. Some of the furniture has traces of purple slime left on them. Behind the counter (which has a giant questionmark engraved on the front of it) Blargh-sephine is standing. For description of Blargh-sephine, see Descriptions > NPCs > Blargh-sephine

Library: The Library is a small house. When you enter it, however, the room seems to reach on towards the sky and beyond, and the row of books infront of you seems to stretch on into endlessness. On the floor several scrolls and books are spread out.
To the left the NPC is standing, much of him isn’t visible. He seems to blend with the surroundings in a kinda dust-like way. Beside him is a bird-cage with a bird-skeleton lying on the bottom.

Temple/Last outpost: This used to be a temple but was abandoned before The Cluer moved here. It was then remade to what it is now; the last place to stop for shelter before you start traveling across the arctic wastelands (which eventually reaches Dragesvard). The NPC is a tiny rat on the floor, about as big as a normal DF-characters foot… or so.




Thank you so much for reading it all! I've worked on this for a really long time... such a long time that slimes have become a totally obsession for me. Those tiny, adoreable little monsters ^-^
Might write more about this town. Or stories relating to it, at least. I don't trust my stat-skills btw, so I suspect that my weapons would have to be totally re-balanced and stuff.
