I didnt mean we need membership to this , it will make the game 100% failed.
I did mean that in AQW EVEN with membership is 3 months to pay , in ED every 2 weeks and 50$ .. That wat I did mean.

Well, I brought varium I think around 2 weeks ago. I still have over 10k varium to spend. I'm NOT going to buy another package just to get 2 guns. These guns should of been implanted in-game like the other promo stuff.

This is exactly why i quit. Not getting robbed anymore. Maybe if $50 lasted more than ONE MONTH i would continue paying, but at the current rate, having top tier gear costs $50 a month and zero in game effort. I'd rather spend 150 hours a month and $15 a month to be top tier

the Hunger !!!!!!!!!!!!! thats what they call it i ve noticed that non variums are limited in items so they play in 1 item while us variums when gettin the 1st promo u have to get the next one and the one after it and the next one ...... and u think in the end wow :O i have paid that much on an illusion game :O see bring a blind man to play this game and you will see how much this game is worth :) and in the end non variums get lossses maybe a lot of losses but guess what they are laughing at you xD

It ridiculous to not be able to buy the guns with the variums we already have, I am not paying 50$ for 2 items.

Give us the option to by the gun at titan, like all previous rare.

Jzaanu once again you have made a very valid point here.

It is very easy for others to say "quit if you don't like it" but when someone has sunk as much money into this game as Jzaanu and myself and countless others it is not an easy option to walk away especially without trying to get some sense as to why a business like AE has chosen to exploit their customers in this ONE particular game.

I bought into this game because it was an AE game fully expecting it to be comparable cost wise to the others. OK I thought to myself well it seems a bit more expensive than the others but it does show promise so I will invest more. BUT when it just keeps going and going and going forever releasing costly features that will give you a little more edge in your battles it becomes an aggressive marketing edge.

I am most disappointed that Artix has not addressed this issue for EpicDuel as I did write a letter to Artix informing him that I was alarmed at the monetary cost of this game as opposed to his other games.

All of the other promotion items from the packages have been made available in game except these guns. Why is that so?

Why make us buy a $50 package every time they decide to do a new promotion? Well its as plain as the nose on our faces. You don't need to be Einstein to work it out.

It really is an insult to us who have paid for varium already to be expected to buy a $50 pack to get the perks.

I'll keep this post simple, and I'll point out a fact.

Every promo that was added in game, was either a Holiday promo, or like in the Rixty Rippers case, something that couldn't be bought easily in certain countries.

This one is neither.

Just like: Founder Armor, Beta Weapons, and the Gamma Bike/Bot, this one is only available in the packages. It is not a Holiday rare, or a special promo that comes with a card, it is simply a promo, and it's the first gun promo epic duel has ever had.

Buy it or not, it's your choice, but I doubt it will be added in game, because it doesn't fall into the same categories as the other in game promos.

Will future promos be added in game? I don't know at this time, I can ask next week if needed, but most likely the pattern will stick to special card/item promos, or Holiday promos.

As for the pricing of packages, I agree that perhaps they could be better. I doubt the prices themselves will lower, however the amount of Varium each package gives could be improved, maybe to become more on par with AQW AC packages. However this as with many things, falls on the company more than the ED Developers, since package prices are not decided by Titan or Nightwraith. (At least not to my knowledge)

That's all I have to say on the matter, I will not be posting in this thread again.

the marauder bike was like the guns. it had no special reason for being a promo it was just a promo but that was available with any varium package and it was also available ingame.

Ok thanks for answering my question Wiseman.

I would like to state for the cause that I absolutely abhor this new idea of only making certain items available in a $50 pack. It is prejudiced against the people who already have bought many $50 packs and already have varium sitting in their accounts.

If this is a precedent for upcoming promotions then in my estimation this game will be beyond redemption.

To Titan and Nightwraith I feel sorry for you guys as I am led to understand that you are not setting the pricing on this game but perhaps you might like to draw Artix attention to the fact that his customers are thinking of leaving Artix Entertainment because of blatant exploitation.

He is losing not only loyal customers of many years but new ones that quickly realise that this game has become beyond the reach of anyone thinking of playing the game in a long term sense.

I am truly amazed that there is no real incentive for long term players to stay with this game its become fast bucks and fast turnover. In essence I am saying that it appears to reward players for joining the game and spending $100 for best gear with enhancements to compete at a top level for a month or two then they either move on or continue to pay $50 on a regular basis (monthly) which is beyond the reach of most people for a 2D game still in a testing phase.

Once again you are mistaken Wiseman. As bloodrainbow mentioned above, the Marauder Bike is an exception as well as the GAMMA BIKE & BOT which are both purchaseable in game :)

Thats two now, so it seems this is turning out to be quite arbitrary, as it is not celebrating a special minority (like founder and Beta Weapons both were).

Point is that this is not okay, and excuses as to why they have done this seem to only exaggerate the fact that they are doing what we all thought they were trying to do...Scam us.

You know why would I never like to be in one? I sympathize with the low levels and if I got into one, I would let them win. The battle system of juggernaut is not fair. I have support the game not with too many money but at least I have supported. Anyways on topic, Shadronica you said one of the guns was nonvarium right? Then it should be in-game.

And how many times have we had a promo like Rixty? As I recall, we only had two, Rixty and Bunnyzookas.

Let me also state that bunnyzooka is not a holiday promo as it was part of the Spring promotion, the practically same promotion such as the new stun sidearms being released(Summer).

The staff haven't stated that in-game purchases of promotional items only apply to "something that couldn't be purchased easily", so how can you argue with this thread when you have made assumptions based upon pure opinion.

Wiseman, your assumptions are made with several faults.

@Nexus...: What ever happened to a promotional bonus being a bonus? There was a time when all you got with the 10k Varium package was the Gamma Bot and Gamma Bike.

You are acting like this weapon is a must have, and let me just say that it's really not as powerful as it's made out to be. In terms of stats, the new guns are equal to Charfade's Blasters, and only one point more than Frostbolt Blaster and Skullfire Cannon. The stun chance isn't anything amazing. First it's completely unreliable. I've been using the guns myself since the release and I've only gotten 2 stuns, neither time helpful. Jzaanu and I even spent an hour trying to stun each other with no luck.

I feel like this is being treated the wrong way. This is something extra you're getting if you need to buy Varium for something else in-game. Of course it won't make sense to just buy Varium to get these two guns.

Guys guys, don't worry, they'll probably add it in next week. I can see it now! The DN's Saying "Now anyone can purchase these powerful guns at (Add vendor's name here)!" Its all strategy, that way they won't have to make a real update next week! That'll be it, the whole next weeks update, and on the side it'll have that clever message, **Real updates coming soon!

But for the players, yeah, it sucks. JZaanu has an extremely valid point. And honestly, i've kept pretty civil in my posts, sure the sarcasm is there, but never outright nasty or insulting. Is that what I might be forced to do to be heard? Please don't tell me that, I don't like to put my angry face on :/.

Not to be rude but I don't see why staff should have say about pomo items. When they get varium and Pomo for free there just like us non varium. btw I mean ones with green names.

Ashari I understand what you are saying about the stun guns.

However, my point is this ... Is this the start of a new marketing ploy to get us to buy $50 packs to be able to attain certain items? So that in effect even if you have say ... 25,000 varium in your account and don't really need to buy varium but the $50 pack has something you want you have to buy another $50 worth of varium to get the item/s.

This to me says that the $100 + dollars that you have spent previously to obtain varium has already been absorbed (spent, usurped) into the void. Therefore, in the future we may be required to buy these tricky nifty new items ahead of what we have already spent.

Not sure I explained that properly =/

What I mean is even if we don't need to buy varium the introduction of this exclusive buy only $50 varium pack item will become the future of ED promo items. That to me is the most scariest part of this new release.

I don't think that many have even thought about the implications that this has and the bearing it will have in the future.

Be aware! If this is the start of obtaining certain items via $50 pack purchases that chaos will ensue.
