Keep in mind this is our first time doing a war, it is really my baby so to speak so I am looking at everyone's complaints. We thought a small varium cost for a bomb wouldn't mess up balance too much and wouldn't be a money drain on players, but still give paid players an advantage

@Cindy 2k cred bomb doing as much as Super bomb. The main complaint is that non varium don't stand much a chance without easy access to bombs.

the biggest problem there is, is the amount needed for rank 9
someone told me it was 1.3 million war points. (and i dont doubt it)
and according

1,300,000 / 200 = 6500

thats a total of 6500 super bombs needed to be fired.

6500 X 50 = 325,000 varium for it. thats a total of 33 large packages required for it.
thats insane. if it requires this much for varium super bombs, im not even going to bother calculating with NPCs.

Exactly my point. Why make it so that no one can get it unless you are living on a bank.

it still isn't late to fix this tho. they can just simply lower the amount required for each rank (by alot)
not to the point where its easy. but to the point where if u farmed 200 of those NPCs each day for the rest of the event u get rank 9.
i mean seriously we have like 3-4 weeks for this war tops.

There is truly no rewards for the non paying players in this war with my other account I did 40 war kills against the Yeti Hulk. not a single bomb drop. All I got was war kill credits no battle tokens, no regular credits, does not go towards the 1vs1 scoring so they will loose interest fast in the war because all they will see those with varium are getting rewarded and recognized. Like others wrote since it takes alot of points to get to each rank let the war be ongoing throughout the year so that everyone has a chance to get the top rank. have the landscape change with the seasons. The missions should be against the NPCs that we are battling.

@ Gold, I think it will be higher than that... I figure you are going to be looking at 1.5-1.6 million points for War general achieve...

Also, when you factor in criticals 20 bombs does about 5000 damage!
I am not sure if support effects critical, but I have 200 support...

^ HAHA nicely done bud don't know you but high five lol. I wanted buffy to lose so bad...almost as much as Mokta and deliberated switching to exile just to take her down.

So glad both the bullys lost this battle :P

Edit to clarify:

Mokta rank 3 war kills

Buffy rank 2 inventory rarity

Both take tons of varium. The bully term was that of David vs Goliath

Agreeing with Gold. Not too late to fix this. Nobody has reached a certain limit yet (Say, 250k), so it could be changed so that the last rank comes at that point without giving anyone direct financial loss.

Cindy, is it based on Epic Duel day or is it based on 24hrs since War started?

Also the war appears to have ground to a halt, the war bar has not updated since the reset...

Whilst I congratulate todays winners in the war I would simply like to say this ...

Were the dev's rubbing their hands together in glee about how much it would cost for players to obtain these achievements or are they all Math challenged?

Here's a thought ... why don't the dev's make an exclusive server for those who wish to spend several hundreds of dollars per day like the high rollers room.

Let them battle it out on their own leaderboard in that server alone. I am sure that nobody in management would care about segregating the elites from the rest of the riff raff. Or so it appears that way.

Though the war may have had intentions of community spirit in which the idea was borrowed from ED's sister games, once again it has managed to turn something that could have, should have been just plain pure fun to pitch in and help your allegiance to "Who is paying the most in ED" leaderboard money grab.

Don't worry Cindy you will get your Christmas bonus no doubt for coming up with this dollar winning idea.

Don't get me wrong I have absolutely no problem at all with a game making reasonable profit however, the ED management really need to revisit their marketing plan. Either make it a game where everyone is acknowledged for time and effort or just make it a game for the financially gifted people and leave it at that.

i compared this game to others as Mcdonalds vs burger king
and last friday burger king actually had a release called FREE fries friday.

I know i am. every time i see an update like this, i just immagine Nightwraith sitting at his computer, and suddeny hearing that song and seeing the error of Epicduel's marketing plan. [:D]
