Remember Wootz, we assume balanced classes not current state of them. This takes care of power abuse and lets other builds be competitable. Diminishing on stats will be here soon so power builds will be slightly nerfed. And this type of thing, like penalities, might be one of the options when Rabble decides to take requirements off all weapons in ED; if you take them off now and leave things as they are, even more abuse will happen. There's no solution how it can be prevented so we're suggesting it for when requirements are gone + classes are a bit more balanced.

True what you say.

For example, pure Dexterity build. No one could ever lay a hit on you.
Or pure Strenght build, damage all the way.

Well, there are a few builds that are performing better then normal:
Tech Mages Glass Cannon
Cyber Hunters Dexterity Build
Cyber Hunters Tank-Massacre which is actually easily made.
Tech Mages Super Charge Abuse
Blood Mages Strenght Abuse

And, isn't there stat diminish already?

Yeah, these all suggestions are for when requirements are taken off so limits must be put at higher tier. :P

TM Glass Cannons - they will be taken care of soon. Team has seen them already and are thinking of solution if not finished already.
CH Dex Builds - Plasma Armor is the problem, so that's the skill really causing it.
CH Tank/Focus 5 - with SC, it's really a loop as you can still Tank. Problem - Plasma Armor.
TM SC - Hmm, I see few of them but ain't that much of a problem. Although I do see a few with 100 Energy and Lvl 8-10 SC, which are quite tough. (if that's what you mean)
BM Str - stat diminishing.

Yes there is, but they will be adding another tier (current starts at about 85+), and next one will be a bit over 100+ to lower their power. When requirements are gone, diminishing may be lowered if they introduce penality in its place or combine both which would be good as penality wouldn't be as big and diminishing would be a bit "weaker" than now.

And, yeah, I mean the Super Charge abusers with 8-10 Super Charge.

Plasma armor should really be taken care of. I already said that. Technician would be better!

Glass Cannon build Solution:

STR decreases Connect Chance. This would reduce their effectiveness.

Tank Solution:

Instead of relying on DMG dealt, how about the Rage Meter increasing by opponent's DEF/RES, depending which one you were aiming to hit.

@drinde Rage already works like that. It increases by how much damage is reduced. So if I hit with physical damage it will increase my rage by the enemies defense, not resistance. And it also goes by damage.

@drinde It wouldn't affect classes like BHs or BMs as much as it would other classes. Plus, an extra tier of diminishing stats would probably solve most of the abusing problems in-game.

I think STR should start with +5 for +1 DMG at 52, +6 for +1 at 67 and +7 for +1 at 87.

Make plasma bolt cost as much as fire ball, and add 1 extra cooldown to both of them. This will weaken STR BMs and slightly nerf Caster TMs.

How will extra cooldown affect a BM? I seldom see the double Fireball build ever. For Caster mages it possibly might but I see relatively little effects on the average BM.

Again, it wouldn't affect BMs since they could start with gun instead of Fireball. Another tier of stat diminishing and then we should decide what else needs fixed.

EMP Grenade is quite powerful because it can take lots of points with so few energy, I think it should work this way:

It will have no requirement and it won't improve with no stat.
It can't be blocked and still it takes high energy compared to the other draining skills (Atom Smash and Assimilation).

Can i make a complaint right now. After months of BM str abusing domination the BT have done nothing. I received about 60-100 losses due to them now. Regardless of my DEF/RES they do above 30 damage. This is getting out of control now. Someone should just make a nerf if possible and then further discuss on this issue. If Bms continue STR abusers soon the whole ED will be STR BM dominated. Do what we said, replace DA-SA. That should have been done ages past. And if possible, give BHs a buff as well as Mercs if it's still weak. It's just so unnecessary how every one is getting so many loss streaks due to the high amount of BM stat abusers. Not only have we discussed so many times, no one has even paid much attention in fixing this issue, speaking from a player's perspective here so not targeting the forum users. But honestly if this keeps up many would have losses that could have been prevented.

Sorry if i sound so agonised(maybe over the top...) and really...angry... but it's just taking too long for BT to make a change. Give Bms a new skill if u must, just make them have more variable builds than focusing on a single stat.

Cyber Hunters
Still controlling ranged attacks with Malfunction [deflects], they control melee attacks with high dex and/or shadowarts [blocks], they
control your energy with EMP and it's super cheap, they can regen 14+ energy with a single strike and can tank like no other class.

Blood Mages
Berzerker has to go, you gotta encourage more players to get some defences and stop cloning these fast win/loss strength builds.

Ah i see, i'm a little behind with this. Well, removing a power skill and replacing with a potentially build crippling skill is fine with me. Besides, we have Fireball and DA still which is plenty.

You can't really say Reflex is Energy regeneration skill. Energy regen skill is SC, Reroute or Assimilation to very extent; if you miss, then no Energy. So one you waste turn on to activate + 2nd can miss.

Pivotal: 15% reroute for 4 turns plus 1-6 energy back from every fourth strike would most likely be less of a problem than gun-fireball-zerk-gun combo we have now.

On the long run Reflex boost won't give u that much EP back unless u are targeting a STR player. It gives about 20 EP back at most. And replacing zerk to assimilate allows some non-str abusing builds for BMs which is good to see. But BT need to implement that change as soon as possible to make it work, say next release if possible.

Now as for Cybers, like what we posted earlier, replace PA with TECH and give our SC/MASS on original %. Considering that CH should also get DEADLY AIM while BMs receive SHADOW ARTS as most of us agreed on that. This well balance the two dominating classes and hopefully reduce the chance of tank builds. And i think rayniedays56 suggested a new skill, hunter's curse, have a look on that in the other pages (11/10) which we have been discussing about.

Hopefully these ideas will be put in-game soon, it will make loss streaks less necessary than now.

You can't count Reflex Boost as an Energy regain Skill...

The effects of Reflex Boost cancel eachother pretty much out due to:
You need to be hit to get 15% energy back but Higher Dex = Higher block chance
Block = No energy back
