No! That's too much, it restricts builds. Malf has it already so not needed. It wont matter to TLMs but Str TMs are meh; strong but boring. :3

Really. Buff Static a little more, from 60->29 is too much, maybe have max out at like 40, and then change it so that Static's Cooldown is only 1 turn.

Even with old CH skill tree, this'd be a bit too much (less? o.o), 1 turn is really nothing. 2 is fine, with current and old skill tree. If you suggest making it 1 turn cooldown, you're looking for nerfing the skill down, not buffing it as it makes no sense - get lower cooldown and more power? You can use it more often, twice as quick, so then appropriate cap would be 15%. :3

Balancing Static Charge for all build types:

Static Charge cannot fail. Static Charge does not involve Strike. Static Charge does not improve with Strength. Static Charge needs better percentage conversions.

I would say no more than 20 energy per charge at the best for a level cap player.

20 would work good, with my old STR CH I used to get 17 with the occasional 16 or 18, now I get 16 with the occasional 15 or 17.
Maybe a fixed gain?
Lv 1- 3 Energy
Lv 2- 6 Energy
Lv 3- 8 Energy
Lv 4- 10 Energy
Lv 5- 12 Energy
Lv 6- 14 Energy
Lv 7- 16 Energy
Lv 8- 17 Energy
Lv 9- 18 Energy
Lv 10- 19 Energy
If the attack misses you still receive the energy.

Hmm, that could definitely be not abused in any way and training it would be necessary for proper gain. Fact it always gives it back would be good enough, but I'd assume 3 turns cooldown then as opposed to 2 turns now? As players would probably stop at Lvl 7, majority I'd say unless you want it exact Energy. And you always get it so it shouldn't be a problem; plan your 'spending' rather than spam same thing over and over. :D

Does anyone find it funny that with 25-29 Str damage and max Static Charge that I have enough of a score to receive only 18 energy?

It looks like I would need about 34-40 Str damage just to get 20. That looks broken to me.

The old Static Charge guys, before the first nerf on it, was 55% I believe. Then it was nerfed to 55% at only 80% damage, then it was nerfed to 44% at 100% damage, then nerfed to the current, and most horrible, of 29%. I liked the 55% at 80% damage nerf. A 16-20 strength Cyber Hunter could gain back 18-20 energy.


A quick example...lol



16-20 (say it hits at 20)

take 20 and add the hit of the weapon (im using 34)


20+34=54

80% of 54=43.2=43


55% of 43=23.65

24 energy gained back. :D I liked this so much because it didnt restrict cybers on the strength that they need now.


Seriously...I have 10-12+32 for my strength and primary, and I gain back 11 energy... :/ kinda...useless...except for maybe an emp...

I'm suggesting 1 turn cooldown due to all those pesky blocks.

And I'm suggesting a buff for it because...well, it needs a buff. Way too low right now. I can gain like 13 EP back on hit. Enough for a measly DM or an EMP. Not even enough for a Malfunction or a Heal.

And yes, it was 0.45, my bad. It was 0.6 at 0.8 weapon damage = 0.45 static charge.

And now it's 0.29. I suggest raise maximum back up to around 0.40 or so, and then reduce cooldown to only 1 turn, in case of blocks and stuff. Or, buff it to 0.35 or something and have it be a passive/unmissable skill.

Or.. make it old CH skill tree with 60% return and 2 turns cooldown. Was good enough, return was much higher and could be blocked but return was higher, that's the key point. With 60%, you could get at least 20 Energy easily without investing a lot in Strength. It wasn't OPed with old tree so changing it would be pointless unless you mean Void's idea - Energy return even if blocked and I believe it was a bit lower %s but always returns.

@trans. i have 47 energy and i malf whic leaves me with 17 i then use cheapshot i now have 7 i then use static and i have 22 energy. its not 29% of the damage dealt its 29% of your max energy i think. since even when i hit a 3 i go from 7 to 22 same with when i hit a 55 i still go from 7 to 22 :p

Frost rayniedays56 i think posted a message about that, static is about your entire damage(Base+weapon). It may be a coincidence, but the Static description does not work that way. :)

Now static remake:

Either one of these 2: LUST or 1-cooldown

LUST:Depending on your weapon damage (EG-34wep-max(22%)=8ep

Lv and %
1 -4
2 -6
3 -8
4 -10
5 -12
6 -14
7 -16
8 -18
9 -20
10-22

1-Cooldown:depending only on BASE STR amount(EG=15-18dmge-max(85%)=13-15ep.

Lv and %
1 -64
2 -67
3 -69
4 -70
5 -72
6 -75
7 -78
8 -80
9 -83
10-85

It may need a few twicks to make it a bit more correct, so i hope you can give me some advices in changing it, if you think it's fine, post a reply so i know it doesn't need a change.

Lets see :D


Lets say you hit at 22 of the 20-24


thats 22+34=56


29% of 56=16.24=16 energy regained...kinda pathetic since you have nice strength...


With the old 44% it would have been 24.64=25


at the 55% it would have been (the 55% be4 the 80% damage to it)=30.8= 30 energy gained back


So, the nerf did this :)


Went from 31 energy regained, to 25, now to 16

uhm ive only had this build for 9 hours :p and ive goten 111 2vs2 wins with it :p

im only keepin git to win the daily 2vs2 and 1vs1 then im going back to my massacre build.

do you know a good build a level 31 could use?
