And just to be perfectly clear, these features will be available with or without Varium. Upgrading your gear and rearranging your gear's stats will have both Credit and Varium options available. If this means removing the power gap, i HEAVILY approve. A way i think this should work, is credit players should have less freedom as to where they put their stat points, but still have the same number of stat points available to them. Varium players should have full freedom, but without an actual mathematical advantage in numbers, but rather an advantage in having to carry around less weapons for specific builds. Also, start limiting the cosmetic options that are available to free players, that is a MASSIVE cash cow. People are more than willing to pay good money to bake their character look like a boss. For example, free players don't need the ability to fully customize armor colors. Make armors have a randomization option (with colors leaning towards certain ones, as to prevent players from constantly getting rainbows on their gear) for credits, and full customization for varium. Same with hairs, random for credits, full customization for varium. Perhaps allowing free players full customization as well but for a fairly hefty battle token cost? EDIT: Another way to make good profit without making varium players OP is offering them alternative skills (the ones in weapons) that are sidegrades. Not better, just different and more unique. You can also sell a stash, that lets you store items outside of your inventory. Very useful for rare collectors that have a ton of gear that they don't use. You can sell custom emotes You can sell armor accessories like capes, goves, bloots You can sell custom titles instead of the standard Warlord/Commander/Whatever You can sell extra character slots (Yes, even in a F2P game people will buy these instead of making another account) You can sell fancier skill animations for existing skills
