    While shifting my inventory around, I noticed

    Perm Zhilo's Axe now has a sellback of 10 million. The rest of the entry looks correctly updated.

    Paladin Tome. Now bug-free! (Log out/in)

    MC Magic Light 100% "wand". It's basically a Light version of the Glacial Short Staff.

    3 spells: Holy Blaze, Shining Strike, and Radiant Blast

    # Holy Blaze does 4 hits of 60% spell damage. It can burn the monster for (HitsConnected) turns at 2.9 Power. The monster takes -20 to its save:
    Level: PowLvl vs MonsterLevel
    Major: YourINT vs MonsterDEX
    Minor: YourLUK vs MonsterLUK
    Light-element monsters are immune.

    # Shining Strike is a 6-hit raw damage spell.

    # Radiant Blast is a 3 hit 75% damage spell that costs 60% normal MP. On this attack, Lucky Strikes deal LUK/1.5 damage instead of LUK/2.

    If you don't have the MP needed for Radiant Blast, you regen MP equal to its MP cost.

    If spells are disabled, then the book does a "bow" attack. This does *1.02 of the damage listed below.

    MC bonus: Boosts damage of Light spells cast while equipped. *0.975 if a Necromancer, *1.05 if a Paladin, and *1.025 if neither. Necromancer is checked first.

    ArchMagus Orodalf -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/18/2013 2:44:57)

  • Dragon Staff has a redundant case of redundancy; it mentions the chance to Poison twice.
  • That entry and all of the other Dragon <Weapon> entries (which are linked in the entry linked above) have some misinformation in the Poison:

    quote:

  • Against Dragons/Dragonkin/Drakels: After your attack, there's a (# of hits that connected and dealt > 0 damage) / (# of hits attempted) chance of Poisoning the monster (1 round; 2 power; Lv100; Harm damage). The monster can resist with a save, with a +0 bonus (if against Dragons) or +20 bonus (if against Dragonkin/Drakel):

  • Turtle_King -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/19/2013 1:26:53)

    Would the spells follow spell standards or weapon standards for the new Paladin books? Or do they have their own special standards? If they follow spell standards for things like boosts,is it possible to list such on their entries as well as the entries for other such weapons if not done already? I hope this is the right place for this.

    infuturity -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/19/2013 7:21:37)

    The spells follow spell standards, which of course are directly related to weapon standards.

    A standard spell is supposed to do 200% of normal melee weapon attack damage in a standard mid-defensive armor.

    Meanwhile, magic weapons are supposed to do 75% of melee damage during attacks.

    Shining Strike does standard Melee*2 damage of a spell. Radiant Blast is a pretty clever design, to be honest. It does 75% of normal spell damage, which is 150% of normal melee damage. However, because of the turn used to regenerate mana between casts, you are only doing this damage every 2 turns.

    150% of normal melee/2 is 75% of melee damage overall. Pretty neat design...

    zippy2010 -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/19/2013 9:39:38)

    Witch Waster
    quote:

    EFFECT
    All normal Player attacks and weapon Specials gain +2 BTH and deal 106.5% damage.
    The weapon triggers against monsters whose INT is higher than 0; against such monsters the weapon does 110% damage. This stacks multiplicatively with the above effect.

    Seems wrong. Here are the info subs
    I'll quote it for you:
    quote:

    Witch Waster. Melee Water, Rapier, has a +2 BtH lean and *85/87 damage. Gets *1.09 for being a no-special weapon as well. MC effect is a trigger on anything with INT higher than 0, does *1.1 damage and has blue flames, no downtrigger.

    sol1tud3 -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/19/2013 9:57:28)

    ^
    it says 106.5% because the accuracy lean is already factored in

    zippy2010 -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/19/2013 10:46:51)

    oh yes. But it would be helpful to keep it in easy format for some sleepy guys like me. They didn't even mentioned "Already factored in" thingy so I didn't check. Hope you(AKs) can redo the statement for me. plz

    I'm fairly sure many others would consider the current format "easier", unless you are trying to calculate average damage per turn accurately; in which case you'd probably know where that modifier comes from anyway. The (already factored in) can't be applied here (because the modifier isn't applied to weapon's stats shown in the entry) either, and in general, modifiers will be applied if possible. ~Koree

    Turtle_King -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/19/2013 16:02:42)

    Ah thank you infuturity,but since they are spells within a weapon,it is rather confusing as the misc like Pendant of The'Galin provide boost based on weapon type and I cannot find any info related to how that affects this. Or does it simply ignore the weapon type for such things as tomes?

    Watashig -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/20/2013 2:34:49)

    The Moglord Axes, Bows, and Scepters don't state what happens right AT 40% health.

    quote:

    Re: "Flaming Bouquet: At the end of your turn, it attempts to make the monster Bleed. This is identical to the Dainashini."

    It's slightly different from the Dainashini, because the inaccurate lean causes some type of compensation. (Comfirmed on IRC, but the details haven't been given.) I wrote this because this hasn't been edited into the info sub.

    Handled - Dragoon23

    Ianthe -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/21/2013 13:20:11)

    quote:

    Wata, when I said "Yes it should", I meant "It doesn't right now, but it should, so I'm adding it to my to-do list."

    Anyway, it does now. Its Bleed rate is multiplied by 85/84.2, for a total of 22.45% *(85/84.2) *[Hits Connected]/[Hits Made].

    (Derivation: Your normal attack has -1 BTH and happens 80% of the time; your special has +0 BTH and happens 20%. Your overall accuracy is -0.8%, so *85/84.2 rate.)

    Bolter -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/23/2013 0:59:17)

    Ianthe -> RE: Weapons - Read the first post! (2/23/2013 5:10:33)

    quote:

    Update to the Paladin tomes: when drawing MP, you now have a 10% chance to deal Lucky Strike damage.

    This is one hit of Magic Light damage. Base and Rand damage are equal to 0. To prevent things like the server caps from messing with this, stat bonus to damage is LUK/2 (so no INT), and standard Lucky Strikes are disabled. Stat bonus to BTH remains the same.
