isaiahfish90, Making threats like that is against the rules and if I call you something I do not beat around the bush I call you that but I do not stoop down to anyone’s level. When just two Blood Mages come to the forum claiming getting over 83% win rate while the rest are getting less than 80% win rate I have every right to question it. I just went down the 1vs1 leader board at 1:25PM on 02/13/2013 and not a single Blood Mage so right there that has to say something about that class and how they are being negatively affected by weak skills and the changes that have not come yet.

Tell me one other skill other than Bludgeon that is stronger than the Tact Merc skills. When I test skills I test them at the highest stat I can get even with 56 health at rage and t non-rage and every time on the same level players with and exception of Bludgeon, even at low strength, I got less than 50 damage. With high support I get critical damage constantly on everything else but the so called “the devastating Plasma Cannon” When I test skills I am looking at Battle Damage not pure damage to compare to either the same tier skill or to similar skill so fire ball being a tier one skill it is by far weaker than Double Strike and Cheap shot at max and it is slightly weaker than Plasma Bolt but with malfunction the tech mage can increase that damage but no matter how high the Blood Mage increase strength because of the stiff progression fireball is weak.

Seeing so many unique Blood Mage builds, really, I see close to 100% Strength/Bludgeon build because any other builds you are lucky to survive past round 3.

So now it is Wednesday what changes will be made?

And just because BM isn't in the LB doesn't mean that they are lying either. We both know the LB doesn't represent balance, it only represents the people who can get the most wins the fastest AKA quick kill builds.

As for why there is so little diversity with builds the answer is obvious. People want wins hun and most could give to hoots about creativity and diversity as long as they get them. Why else do you think there are so many strength Merc's running about as well as other classes using strength builds? Because they are OP builds that can destroy the masses. It is just like when BM has Plasma cannon at it full potential but was never used because the BM strength build was so OP.

Heck I am willing to bet if they granted your wish from before (meaning undoing all the nerfs that delta brought to bloodmages) Blood mages wouldn't be creative, but go right back to the max fireball berzerker combo 2 turning the masses like they used to before berzerker was switched for bludgeon.

I simply stated I would consult a moderator, not a threat but a promise as you flamed me and called me a liar, which writing such false information is AGAINST THE LAW. Therefore breaking the forum rules which turns to a ban if reported to a moderator. Also, you may go in the lb, but the lb is the build thatg wins fastest, not wins more %. the one that wins most % never gets on LB for BM because it is slow. As stated before there is no diversity because people copy builds for fast wins. Nobody copies mine because it wins slowly and will never score leaderboard.

I have to admit, I'm very annoyed that Delta Knight went from the absolutely best armor in the game to one of the first for it's levels, on account of it's Curse skill core which cannot be removed, and only nerfs other player's support by 6 or 7....

Change it to allow us to remove Curse from the armor, and it might still be decent. But at the moment, players really cannot effectively use the armor lol.

Mother1 it has been awhile. You expect too much of him, he does not use proper English and he does not seem intelligent enough to realize that LB is not based off w/l % or an acurate statement of balance. He also does not understand that blood mages are very good.

Also @Hun skills are supercharge and intimidate. If used correctly these skills can dominate ANY other class. Only problem is it is a tough build to master and it wins very slow.

In all honesty
we didn't need to adapt during Beta - Gamma - Delta
Sure there were Balance issues but they weren't as
massive as in Omega...

If they implended some of the Omega features in Delta,
like Leveling up equipment and Cores, It's still be more balanced
than what we have today.

i'm now liking omega....took a bit to get used to [;)] my only suggestion would be to increase the effects of dex and res in order to counter the massive strength builds...the overall effect of lowering our defenses needs to be countered with something to deal with the abusive builds

I know you guys are very agitated with the way Omega works, but maybe you just need to get used to it. As many of you said, Omega is basically a new game, a whole new PvP system in EpicDuel. I have experienced sooo many builds the past few days, have spent more than 30,000 credits just retraining and changing my weapons' layouts. There's fixes to be made, and the developers know it better than you do, but they have to think for the whole player base, not just 15 people raging about strength based mercenaries. I've tried Strength Mercenary myself, and I didn't like it, but I only used it to test which builds would beat me, and I have to say, there were many. For one, there's my current build, a 5-focus tank Mercenary, or a high HP/support based Tech Mage. My point is that with hard testing and good usage of the Battle Strategy forums, everyone can find themselves a good build to suit themselves.


I'm lucky to have played all phases of EpicDuel, and while great, Alpha/Beta was very unbalanced. There were very few restrictions, more stats and everyone could spam one skill and go berserk with it. There were also many more bugs, and NO MODERATORS to test and help fix them! There wasn't much complaining back then because EpicDuel was a new game, there were fewer players and even fewer people registered in the official EpicDuel forums. That made it harder for those phases to get the right balance updates, and also, there was fewer developers during those times. Now we have more staff, less bugs and many ways to get around unbalanced skills/classes/builds because of the new battle system.


When this thread was made, it was a privilege for us to help Titan/Rabble/Nightwraith/Charfade on making EpicDuel better and better by listening to constructive feedback/criticism so that everyone could get their fair share of happiness. This is a PvP game and there will always be complaing, but keeping it clean and respectful is in your hands.

I feel that Omega is like seeing a person with a different haircut, at first glance, something may seem out of place, but over time you get used to it! I'm starting to like the new hairstyle ;).

I agree I am getting used to it also,

I dont think STR builds are unbeatable however the weapon based % STR attacks havnt been adjusted accordingly to the changed of less Stats in omega, making them too strong when they are designed for players with and average of a much higher defense.

Because these skills are less calculated by stats then most skills, this also makes them more imune to intimidate then say fireball.
But is also means even if their is less stats weapon % based attacks have not been lowered in damage accordingly to defense since stats have less influence.



In other words, STR is not just an arguing opinion over needing a nerf, Their is clear evidence and theory justifying it.

One of the bad aspects is that people are forced to jump to OPed classes and builds even more than in previous phases.

That's because, in the past you could have reasonable wins with NPCs as any class. Those who did not want to change to OPed classes could have their own wins and satisfaction.

But now, without NPCs and with such low level difference in power, if you want to have some kind of satisfaction, you ARE FORCED to jump to the OPed class.

As a BM, my alt got more losses than wins so I had to spend 900 varium for a forced class change. The only alternative I got was to quit the game with it and keep only my main as a somewhat competitive account.

Well, i was trying all kinds classes and builds for jugg, but none gives more than 50% win ratio :(

Jugg definitely needs a buff ... level range or ..

They could give jugg 1v1 turn based rather 2v1 turn based. ( i mean one opp attacks, then goes jugg, then again the opp and then again jugg. Rather 2 opps attack then go jugg)

Jugg's seem to pretty much rely on boosters, well most battles I versed them anyway.


So I can pretty easily assume it's currently a lot harder for juggs.

I hope the Gun is Energy & Varium option in-game (if it's in a promo too, no way it'd be sold for Credits). I'm in need of the ability and Azrael Borg is perma rare, AFAIK. :3

If they make this a non promo item then anyone who brought the azreal's borg might feel a way since they just took yet another ability that was exclusive for variums players.
