Fallen Crest -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:26:56)

@Lemonus: From someone with a level 20 Poison Drake, I highly recommend it. Very offensive, and can be defensive when needed.

@Jack Antler: I have both level 20, and they are both very powerful characters. PumpkinLord is very costly, however very defensive and offensive. Void Knight is a very balanced character overall. especially end-game (Level 20). I personally have a better connection with Void Knight, so I'd recommend it, however both characters are extremely powerful in battle, so you won't go wrong choosing one over the other.

Shards Superior -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:27:47)

Witchblade possessed version is decently offensive... or is that one of the Bosses?

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:29:31)

@Lemonus
I would suggest Poison Drake as well since he is both offensive and defensive. Shadow Priest is not bad as well since there was once where I fought AI shadow Priest and he used MoD about 4-5 times in a row. Shadow Priest would be a good choice.

Vagaran -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:30:25)

Poison and MoD are offensiv cards...anything that can deal dmg is IMO offensiv cards.

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:31:58)

I already said I would train PD in an earlier post... I need another moar offensive char as PD got bumped unto my Deffy category.

SG or Non-SG. Would Abby work?

@shards
BAWSS

Fallen Crest -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:38:32)

@Vagaran: Same exact thing I was thinking when they were debating offensive vs. defensive last page.

At level 20, poison and MoD become your main source of damage, for all shadow characters.
IMO, only DarkonDrago and Rev Egg are truly defensive shadow characters. Everything else is debatable, it mainly comes down to the amount of Void Reflections and shields.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:39:36)

@Lemonus
Try shadow Acolyte too.

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:44:22)

Already tried SP and SA, they're TOO similar to PD so no.

Just help me pick then.

Abby, Deggy, Dancey or Axey?

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:45:26)

Abby and Dancey then.

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:48:21)

Aww, only one! I only have as much as 29 SGs to spare! I think I can buy VR some other time but not anytime soon and that's not even for sure.

Who's more offensey of the two?

Oh and also, Crypt Rogue.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:50:44)

There are so many shadow characters with almost the same deck. Quite very hard to decide which to possess but I choose to possess every characters because "Gotta possess them all" theme. [:D] Some shadow characters like Degore and Darkondrago have 2 MoD and 2 Poison which is a deadly attack.

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:51:54)

Well, I'm telling you to compare only THREE of them.

Crypty, Dancey and Abby.

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:54:36)

@Lemonus: Dancey = Shadowdance?!?

@below: They are entirely different._.

Fallen Crest -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:55:04)

They honestly have around the same deck, except Shadow Dance who is missing a MoD.

I'd say Crypt Rogue. It's unique, and decently powerful.

Shards Superior -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:57:43)

Defensive skills are slow skills, which are skills you need to survive to use, like DoTs and DaTs, or skills that help you survive, like shields and Counterstrike.
Offensive skills are instant skills that don't require input from the opponent. Attacks and attack boosters are offensive.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 9:59:14)

Like what Crest said, go with Crypt Rouge. He is free and decently powerful except he is quite hard to encounter but he is worth it.

Edit:
@above
Well, they have their pros and cons. No matter what skills it is, it depend on how the players played. Sometimes defence can better than offense and it also work on the opposite too.

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 10:00:03)

I'm surprised you people aren't mentioning support cards. Things like energy boosters and attack boosters are all supporting cards. Not everything exactly fits in the category of offensive and defensive.

@above: Except he has no Life Drains, the vital healing move to Shadow types.

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 10:02:03)

@J Empower counts as Offensive.

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 10:03:04)

@Lemonus: Not really, you can't use it unless you have an attacking card. It merely supports your offense.

EDIT: Same thing goes to moves like Refresh that support defensive cards.

@below: Crypt Rogue also doesn't have Sacrifice, which is (IMO) the best attacking move in the game dealing immediate damage.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 10:06:29)

@Jmagician
Hmm, true though. Shadowdance does not have MoD which is a problem so not going to select him for Lemonus. I guess Abberant is the only choice left but in my opinion both Crypt Rouge and Abberant are worthy.

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 10:10:00)

Maggot App it is! The Crypty finding goes along TC grinding in which my HHM excels in the most. Thank you :)

*cookies fo everyone

@J Sacrifice isn't always liable, it can put you in a dis/advantage.

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 10:14:43)

@Lemonus: If you are looking for a good Shadow type between the three, you might as well pick Abberant. Shadowdance in my opinion outclasses Crypt Rogue.

EDIT: You NEVER use Sacrifice unless you know you can KO with it. It should be common knowledge not to use it when winning is uncertain.

Megadragonknight -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 10:14:58)

@Jmagician
Yup, that's why Crypt Rouge is one of the great shadow character alongside Black Dragon, Void knight, Void reaper, Lich, Degore, darkondrago and poison drake

Jmagician -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 10:15:46)

I can't believe you people use Sacrifice in the middle of the match o.o

Char -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 110 - READ THE FIRST POST (4/2/2013 10:17:03)

@Lemonus: Cookies!?! Yay!
