Uh Sage I guess it just froze.

TheSage -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:10:12)

yeah i need to talk to warlic about the clicking to fast bug, i thought it was fixed last week but apparently not.

aleony -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:10:29)

ok two things. is hammer warrior rare now? if u look at squire or trainee's char tree there is no option for hammer warrior anymore. also i do agree that water is underpowered. really they should have a unique piercing DoT. for 6 energy does 8 damage over 4 turns. or 4 damage for 6 damage over 3 turns. its unique and helps beat ice. or how about an attack that defends against piercing. like a counter except heals u for the amount that piercing does. example piercing does -100 u get 100 health. im thinking of 6 energy for 4 piercing. or 5 energy for 3 piercing heal.

aliesterus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:14:46)

Allrighty... But I've never thought of 200(Sorry, still getting used to the shift in damage/HP) damage per turn cards as too useful. Or at least, not in an Ice deck... Unless of course it's the only card that'll actually kill the guy, but I digress. However, Water should have something like Poison, 300 over 3 turns. That'll satisfy me. Hopefully though, it doesn't turn out like Ice did... Going overboard with the power... Remember those double freeze card decks?

aleony -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:15:28)

no its 2 PIERCING damage per turn.

ProfessionPossession -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:18:10)

Ah, the good ole days of imbalance >:D

Anyone else think refresh shouldn't add the cost of the shield? Would make it a lot more useful and effecient.

When did they say that refresh wouldn't cost anything?

aliesterus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:18:59)

@aleony: poisons have never pierced shields before. However, if Water utilizes that, I'll be perfectly fine with it. As long as it stays with Water. Doing it with Shadow would tip it over the fine line of being nearly overpowered to overpowered.

@Proffession: I think it shouldn't cost ANYTHING... Like they promised it would... But that's just me.(Of course, it would tag on the cost of the shield, but c'mon, seriously? Why does the heal itself cost anything in the first place?)

EDIT:@above: It was on the list of cards to edit...

Labyth -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:31:10)

What percent out of any battle would an FC take life out of you
Darkon Vs FC
I love when everything works out well for me. some people will call it cards luck I call it predicting.for the record that was 4 turns after my character reached the charge rate of 4 energy charge. meaning 19/5 managed myself well

aliesterus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:42:13)

@Labyth: Welcome to the analytic side. We welcome your presence.

It's not predicting, it's calculating the odds and using a mathamatical equation to determine what to use, what the opponent possibly has, and what cards to play or hold back. It's how I killed the bosses before they were nerfed. Of course I also wound up theorizing my doom about 75% of the time, but hey, the idea works.

TheSage -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:56:05)

They have a term for that in poker its called Card Counting, it uses probability based on cards played in the previous hand. It is also a form of cheating in most casinos and it takes away from the actual FUN OF PLAYING THE GAME.

Tally -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 21:58:03)

@above
Couldn't agree more.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:01:11)

I like predicting when I draw my cards because it's fun to see if I am at the least 50% right, but as part of planning I suck though I can make things work for me on-hand which is to why I can be deadly once I can get my hands on the Shadow card packs when they release.

*Example: Think of Yugi-Oh when the main characters and villains are like, "If I draw ______ then I can win the match." That sort of thing.

aliesterus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:05:33)

@Mondez, Thesage, & Labyth: Actually that's exactly what we're all describing. However it's not really cheating, because once again we're simply making predictions on what the probabillities of the next card is, which then results in a theory. Also that person is required to have a good memory, and detail oriented, while fully paying attention. It doesn't actually ruin the game, because it doesn't necesserily allways work in your favor, you could just as well theorize your defeat as well as your win, but that's what makes it fun.

Of course the good thing about this game vs. most other card games is that there is no "deck thinner", meaning that you can't really lower your chances of drawing/playing one card just by thinning out the chances of getting it.

Asuka -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:08:42)

You can say I card count sage but in this game figuring the RNG for the cards isn't wrong specially since their was no rule saying I couldn't figure it out although in the end isn't like knowing what will happened will le time control the fight just let me prepare humans are individuals their action are their own I can only say you will use those card cause of the circumstance but knowing what cards to come is like knowing how much candy you have and once your candy runs out you have no more.

The thing is, you agree to basic AE rules when you made a master account. so your "work" could cross those lines.
Also, playing with the same character after awhile, you predict what you might get since you get used to a character you play with.

There's no cheats to this system. There's no "Secret 100% effective way" of guessing what cards come. Its all random.

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:10:43)

The RNG works in mysterious ways and I hate the fact sometimes when I expect Poison, I don't get it, but with my match with Jmagician I was happy that the RNG was working my way since the second match had me draw DoT cards in a effective manner plus drawing the 1000 shields (2 shield cards) worked in my favor before I was about to die.

*Edit
Geez, lighten up everyone, things are the way things are.

Asuka -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:19:55)

@Labyth

I'm not really interested in the "work" of yours, nor do I care. It's just rather annoying a tad when it's a daily post about it... [8|]

Redingard -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:23:08)

Really, this conversation again? I'm surprised the pages aren't filled to the brim with how all of us are taking the news to CC. But NOPE. We're talking about Labyth and his ambiguous form of cheating...or predicting...whatever you wanna call it. As Mondez said, lighten up. It is a game. And you're meant to have fun in games. That means NOT trying to figure out how every turn will go, because that kills the fun. <----my opinion

As for CC, I like the fact cards will have ranks. I hope, for a gold fee, we can permanently upgrade that card. Say, if you have three 200 attack cards. You could upgrade one of them for another 100 damage for 10K gold. Getting them through booster packs and whatnot works as well...but having the option to upgrade them would make it even better.

Well I'm starting to hate the sight of water characters. Weteye is such a frustrating character to find

Combat dummy -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:28:26)

I Define Labyths Skill As Strategy.... Its Like, Getting An Overview Of A Situation And Then Formulating A Way To Counteract It, Then Executing What Was Proposed... Although, Until We Are Able To Set Up Our Decks For How We Want To Draw, I Think It Is All Left Up To 66% Chance. And, When CC Comes Out For All Elements, I Fear Labyths System May Crumble Because We Wont Be Able To Guess What Extra Cards A Person Has Included In Their Deck.... Haha!

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:32:01)

Why worry about the opponent's deck? I love it when my matches force me into a corner, but of course it allows me to tap into my inner millennium puzzle and go all out with the cards I have on hand. [sm=zorb_smilie.gif]

How do I put this in a polite manner, Combat Dummy... You are being silly...

Mondez -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:37:50)

@Combat
Aaahh... I love that feeling when I have around 300 - 800 HP because it makes me want to start breaking down the walls that hold me back in a match. Mentally, do mind you since I restrict my on-spot strategy when I duel in OS.

Here's a word from me, I don't take most of my matches seriously unless I really want to duel that person. I only get serious if I get in a pinch and that's when I put on a devilish smile and start actually playing.

Labyth -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:38:16)

@combat Lol I told you that is kind of funny I was using skexis and I was trying to show Combat how well I predicted and how well I managed big decks as well as how good I was able to use it....Yeah I think I was a bit to hard giving you such creepy hopeless feeling but no when the new CC comes ot this won't slow me down for the record that any combo someone will make I just have to watch for it meaning if I see trace of neutralize in the mix I know what to come .

@below yeah that what you send me interesting enough what you don't see to win a match with my brain I only need to know my cards. I learn my enemy cards easy b y just observing since people can be predictable and quickly analyse I am use to analyzing people and their actions.

aliesterus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread 120 - READ THE FIRST POST (5/2/2013 22:40:09)

I'll put this up here...

quote:

There's only one problem with this method. It doesn't strategize. You're so busy predicting what cards you have, and possibly what cards the opponent has, that you aren't formulating any strategies to counter what the opponent possibly has. This isn't a surefire way to win a duel, or even get close to winning one. It'll get you far unil Card Customization, where my method will be increasingly more useful.

Hardcore predictions based on facts will only get you so far. As useful as this is, it doesn't set up a prevention blocker to counteract your opponents methods.
