Hello everyone. I barely post here, though I mostly read at the forums. This might be a long post.
The revamped guardian is great. Great for solo encounters and a bit slow for multiple enemies since the multi-skill is element-locked.
Does the "Vortex" skill supposed to increase Parry only? Or should it have also increased Block and Dodged as well?
Regarding the color-customizing, would it be better if the color of the cloth is matched to the color of the PC's hair?

Chazero -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 8:36:23)

I wouldn't want it to match my hair. I like to keep my hair black and white cloth is fine for me.

LouisCyphere -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 8:43:52)

I wonder if it would be possible to add a tertiary custom color. We only have Base and Trim colors. Similar to AQW where there is an accessory color.

I don't mean the colour, I mean the shape like I said with a female character they make her look kinda out of it as if she's recently been under anaesthetic.

Oh...umm...I'm not really sure. I'd probably have to totally redo the eyes with another class' model and that might come off as weird with the old art under the new stuff Chronix did.

Are the damage percentages/affects for the abilities posted anywhere?

They'll be up monday when I get back from the Lab.

Just Parry. It's only meant to be a one turn buffer from damage.

That would involve a Database manager adding in a brand new section. We've got waaaaaaayyyyyy more important things (*cough*Armor Saving*cough*) that need to be taken care of first. Eventually? Yeah I'd be all for going back into the armor and adding an accessory color part to it, but for now because of our limitations and how the game doesn't like using hair color for anything else but hair properly, leaving it blank would save a lot of issues.

Mystical Warrior -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 10:26:12)

Just got back from a 2 day vacation with my business staff, looks like the test for Guardian is out, gonna make use of this to fully enjoy the testing phase and hopefully it gets fully released soon.

FrosticIce -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 10:43:58)

Anyone else having the upsidedown issue with the test class? Otherwise the class is great! Really like the varied types of attacks the class gets as well as the fact that it looks really cool too.

Solargeo -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 12:09:30)

To the people ho worked on the new guardian. I personaly think this should be an armor in Aq itself and Aqw. It just captures the feel of a Guardian to me . Not to heavy . Not to light. Just right,
It looks like it offers the ability to take a good amount of heavy hits even without the shield. but allow agility. that's just my opinion on how it looks though. The skills are fun. the power of awether is a
tad weird. Still hope more classes get such a quality buff and revamping.

tthorn4 -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 13:20:00)

Looking at one of the cutscenes where you get really close-up to the character, I discovered Guardian has PNS (Paladin Neck Syndrome). If this post gets enough likes Ash may be able to make a fix! Or maybe not. Who knows?

133spider -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 15:16:26)

Would it be possible to make some of the guardians skills also CC? Like this one for example

Aura Knight -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 15:30:53)

The awethur's power skill animation where the shield does the glowing thing seems familiar. Was that ever used in any other class before? I feel as if it was but can't remember the specific class.

Ash -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 15:33:32)

You'll need to go into more detail than that because upside down could mean one of a hundred things.

I don't really respond to the whole "like/dislike" system. Instead just asking is a good enough way for me to look at it.

If it's not a huge ordeal to do it I'll adjust it on Tuesday along with the other misc. things people have found.

Rorshach -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 15:49:39)

Awethur's damage seems random, spiking from seemingly 100% damage to that very rare PWD-type. I'm thinking it's a gamble-skill.

Since most of the armour's skills lean toward randomness than sticking to weapon-element, it'll need to cover more damage IMO than it currently does (most likely will be shot down as very powerful enough already). Or maybe kick in a couple of abilities to buff self or nerf enemy more.

Twas a joke, sorryI did not make that clear. It was a referance to those doctor posts on Facebook.

Aura Knight -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 16:23:22)

I feel as if the light based attack should be the one with the blind effect.

Lord GrimDusk -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 16:26:14)

So what exactly does Awethur's skill do? Is it just a one-hit damage attack, or does it have another effect that I'm not seeing?

Aura Knight -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 16:30:42)

There's also a PWD effect which deals massive damage. Happens rarely.

Azan -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 17:14:26)

The PowerWord Die does not just deal massive damage, it automatically kills your foe.

Aura Knight -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 17:22:59)

Well when it hits 20k on a foe when your normal attacks are in the couple hundreds, it's massive. It deals enough damage to beat the foe in one hit.

flashbang -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 17:25:03)

If one was incredibly lucky and activate the PWD effect on Sepulchure, and it actually connects, that would defeat him theoretically, correct?
Of course, hitting him would be insanely difficult.

Ifghar -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 18:38:13)

One thing that I like the most about this revamp is the addition of the dragon head shield. It plays on the key storyline fact that the hero is a dragonlord, while still being a different class.

Zork Knight -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 18:54:14)

@Ifghar: That's the Guardian Dragon's head. Symbol of ALL Guardians.

dragon_monster -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 19:03:12)

Finally checked the class its great in every way except the walking animations its just so strange.

flashbang -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 19:52:06)

^Nah bruh, being the fastest casual walker is something for the resume.

Solargeo -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 19:56:57)

Guardian class does have a scar . I like it makes the class look like it has seen battles. Gives it that battlefield veteran look.

Brasca123 -> RE: =DF= Guardian Discussion Thread (5/3/2015 20:00:28)

IIRC ash said the strange movement was actually a bug, just like ash dragonblade's movement, it happens for some unknown reason
