BALANCE SEARCH: Mercenary Class

As many of you would already say that Static Smash is over-powered to be in a tanky class like Mercenary for this can cause various attitudes amongst players against the tanky or strength Mercenary builds with Static Smash we have today. But I believe this is not the case. I believe that this skill should be varied with equal statistics because of the high energy drain and 75% energy restore.

I believe that this should not be nerfed significantly but should be nerfed lowly.

Conversion:

Level 1: 34%
Level 2: 38%
Level 3: 42%
Level 4: 46%
Level 5: 50%
Level 6: 53%
Level 7: 56%
Level 8: 59%
Level 9: 62%
Level 10: 65%

(Mercenaries would not likely to support this but this does not obviously go for them)

Swords shouldn't be able to use this move as I am aware of your posts, but that doesn't matter although many skills should be able to execute with Swords which concludes this thread.

Actually, it restores 75% of the Energy drained, not 85%.

nope. no nerf needed. as many people have stated, it is and op move on an up class. so it balanced it out. right now it is fine. u might think merc is a tanky class, but bh and ch are tankier. they hav shields. and as always, static smash can be blocked, emp cant. this just makes other tanks more aware of their energy. most of the times ch and bh aswell as bm tanks win vs merc tanks.

It's only a minor nerfing, it's not like I'm looking to take away 50% off the original skill conversion like some players.

Supported, this is a really good idea even though this isn't a major nerfing, this is a really great idea in my opinion and I think you have a great imagination when it comes to ideas

That is a weak excuse for trying to keep something overpowered. How about we balance the classes out instead of giving them overpowered moves?

I wouldn't mind minor nerf. Perhaps somewhere around -5% across the board and that'd be good enough. Keep everything else the same - return, effect on block, etc.

How will adding luck to it help? Effect works on blocks so it's not completely useless.

how is static smash op? one use every 4 turns? needs max for good effect? one of mercs only good skills? comn, ur a mage. u can easily whoop them. merc would be op with tectnitian and matrix. however, they dont. i doubt the devs are gonna nerf this move.

Static smash, especially for lower level merc's, always gets blocked. There is no need for it to be nerfed at all, But if it were to be nerfed then i agree with Divine Darkness.

1) Level doesn't affect blocks.
2) Use debuffs if you can (Smoke or get lucky with Omega weapons if you have them).
3) Raise your Dex.

How does that matter? Increase Dex to not get blocked. That's all. Level doesn't affect it so why should lower level not block you?

lower points= lower points to put on dex. also, you need str to make it do something good.

Tough. You cannot have both. It's really common sense, you either get blocked and invest stats elsewhere or make yourself weaker but have higher chance to hit. Never both. Builds will always have drawbacks. :|

If I'm correct support raises the chance of not being blocked. If that is the case, then how come my alt( supp merc with 120 sup) always gets blocked with static smash?

Support doesn't affect blocks, Dexterity does.

Support raises the chances of getting first strike in battle, reduces being stunned in battle, and raises the chance to crit in battle.

Doesn't really matter, it's just trial and error.

My mistake, i confused chance for being blocked with chance for being stunned.
