exciting :)

While it may seem disappointing, it's also kind of nice to have these updates that just can't go wrong cause they patch up the holes left by the previous months. Nice to take a break from all the complaining when new content is released too, you know?

s0u1ja b0y -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/7/2014 20:54:04)

The missions thing though sucks. They should of done that a long time ago. If I knew they would change it, I wouldn't have done it

CN2025 -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/7/2014 21:45:44)

that is life

Eventus -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/7/2014 22:45:59)

I'm loving the bug fixes, great update! [:D]

Same happened to me with the antimatter mission I believe. That was a while back and I was pretty...disappointed at first but quickly got over it. It's really petty and doesn't even involve something like varium so I'm sure everyone won't mind within a few days, lol.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/7/2014 23:02:00)

Wait what. I'm confused on this matter - can someone enlighten me?

Mother1 -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/7/2014 23:08:08)

@ trans

those missions that got fixed rewarded less than you had to spend on them so with this update they fixed it so the players who would do the missions wouldn't lose more than they gained. S0u1ja b0y is upset that he finished the missions recently only for the staff to make the change after he did the mission meaning he won't reap the positive gain and be stuck with the negative gain.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/7/2014 23:11:35)

Ooooh, that. I think I've had few missions like that too. Although, even though they "should of done that a long time ago", it's difficult when pricing has changed for items and they'd have to go over every single mission.

I'm not surprised they didn't catch 'em all, but if you know they'll yield negative gain, just report it and wait for the next release, before you complete the mission - especially since the Devs made it clear that missions aren't supposed to yield a negative gain.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/7/2014 23:16:58)

Is it just me, or do we only get new cores and skills these days whenever there's a new promo out, or a new saga?

Keeping a somewhat steadier release might keep more players satisfied. I'm pretty satisfied with a hole-filling update like this, but I can say from in-game experience a few people I've fought don't like the idea that "virtually nothing happened" this week, according to them.

@dfo99: I'm surprised you gained telepathic knowledge and can read the developer's minds. I don't see any evidence that they've actually been ignored. Just because balance doesn't get released every new update, does not mean that it's getting ignored. Maybe the developers know about it and are currently coming up with some solutions to the problem; it just takes time. Imagine yourself in their shoes and how they have to go about this in a professional manner, and that they have to spend time to test before release anyways.

Merged double post since the post in between has been deleted. ~TG

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/7/2014 23:31:40)

Yeah, because weekly balance updates as well as bugfixes and possible content is totally able, not mentioning the paperwork they get which takes time away from developing the actual game.

If you want serious balance, that needs time. Weekly balance updates would be band-aid fixes and not actual balance changes. Rather a waste of time if the band-aid fix will be scraped anyway and may not even fix anything.

Dfo, you've had a whole week - How come you didn't learn programming and suggested some changes to ease them a little? It's possible in a week, just a terrible quality of code because it's impossible to perfect it in a week. Now apply the same for weekly balance changes.

People think being a Game Developer is all easy and fun, and everything is possible just like that. Yeah.... No. >.>

I mod or am staff on a handful of fanmade MMOs following big-name franchises. Not named for a reason. But I can tell you that it really breaks a developer's heart to be really excited for a release that they worked hard on, and it's entirely unappreciated. It also breaks their heart to be ready and really excited to release a boatload of new content that they want everyone else to enjoy, but at the last minute something goes wrong. They release they messed up and have to go fix it and delay a little to disappoint the entire community. The code doesn't get transferred correctly and there are syntax problems with it all over the place for some reason. The list goes on and on.

Basically, the staff work hard because this is their entire occupation. Criticism is definitely necessary, but IMO only has the right to be made once you at least try to attempt to understand the situation the person who you're criticizing is in.

Pemberton -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/7/2014 23:42:20)

Nice update. Definitely makes me want to play the game more now so I can use my mouse wheel on my new mouse.
Can't wait to spend all of my credits too so I can look at those shiny cheevos and house items. [:)]
Balance can wait.

They are still tagged as Limited-Rare.

Scyze -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/8/2014 3:19:35)

Without challenging Level 40s, I now seem to have a build that might be too hard to beat for some people. However, I do feel like the luck I have is scripted. It's too common and too predictable.

edwardvulture -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/8/2014 13:34:03)

The should tell us what items prize codes are for. I really do not want to get duplicates(like 2 or 3 of an ultra-rare items thoroughout out my 6 accs) so someone else have a chance to get them.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/8/2014 13:39:17)

You cannot get duplicates though. They've implemented new system which checks your inventory (and bank) for the item, before you redeem it. If you already have it, it'll tell you that you've redeemed the code already.

The are no longer limited quantity (5 per hour), but they keep their Limited-Rare status.

lionblades -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/8/2014 20:07:14)

at lv38-40 the wait times are almost unbearable. I have to wait about a minute for a single 2vs2 match. aff

Exploding Penguin -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/8/2014 20:10:02)

^oh well. That's kind of how things go since we can't get everything we want. At least 1v1 will supposedly be better since wait times shouldn't be extended too long there and the level ranges are much fairer.

Mother1 -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/8/2014 20:17:45)

@ Exploding penguin

Sadly 1 vs 1 is where if you aren't using the same flavor of the week build at levels 38-40 you are almost granteed a lost if you go against those hardcore legandary players (I say almost because there are cases where you get lucky and end up winning)

But otherwise yeah what you said is the truth in a nutshell. Some players (Won't mention any names) feel that increased wait times for a better chance of fair fights is good while others are ticked with it.

Until more players reach this range wait times will be like this for level 40's and any match that has a level 40 in it.

lionblades -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/8/2014 20:18:40)

My lv37 BM is getting better a win ratio now that is doesn't fight lv40s. Just finding it a bit strange because my 37 can find 2vs2 and 1vs1 matches in around 3-5 seconds but 38+ is sometimes almost 10 times longer.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/8/2014 20:20:08)

Because the new matchmaking affects mostly (if not all) L38-40 players, so there's a big jump once you hit L38, compared to L37.

Mother1 -> RE: =ED= February 7th, 2014 - Patch Notes - 1.6.3 (2/8/2014 20:21:02)

That is because 38+ are being pulled for level 40's simple as that. With level 37 and below the range is wider so it is possible to find matches faster, however if you are level 38 or higher there is a chance a level 40 will be pulled in to the mix and if that happens the rest of the level ranges level 38 has going down goes out the window as well.
