Since the water tournament is over and it seems the character with water crash or crush didn't do very well do you guys think the card is useless? Yes. [:o] To be fair though, Water characters tend to heal as much or more than they defend so it really didn't have much of a chance to do its job in an all-Water character environment. Although it probably wouldn't even be good against characters reliant on shields like Ice or Earth chars since defensive duels are longer and every time the deck cycles around is an extra time it costs 2 more energy than a normal 500 when it does the same thing for all intents and purposes. Pierce cards are generally useless unless you can boost them to the point where they're not criminally inefficient or if you can use them as a finisher when your opponent has shields up where their inefficiency is offset by the energy cost of the shields they bypass. It's hard to find any redeeming features in Ice Needle, Stone Strike, Inferno, and Water Crash specifically. Tazer is 5 energy instead of the usual 6 and can generally be boosted so it's one of the least offensive Pierce cards. Another nice one is Blood Rage which is great for farming and attack combos when you aren't worried about losing, and even if you are it's a net 200 HP for 3 energy which isn't good but isn't the end of the world. Light and Fire characters generally have high-energy-cost alternatives so they can afford to just discard Blessed Strike and Inferno until they become applicable or they can use them as fodder for Penance/Incinerate, though it's pretty obnoxious how Inferno comes in pairs. 15 of the 20 Fire characters have at least two Infernos. Thank you Burn Mage, Fire Bat, LoveWeaver (only character with just one), Mana Guardian and Void Rebirth for not wasting precious deck space on two of such a situational and generally awful card that can't be boosted or used in an attack combo.
