Ah, interesting!

That assortment of items looks particularly interesting. All those items are quite nifty, and I'd like for Marcelline to pick up one (perhaps to trigger a story), but the one that bothers me is the voodoo doll. Cut its hair shorter, and it could be a voodoo doll of Marcelline...

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 20:14:34)

The price is '1'. As in, 1 Plot Point - rewarded to you for participating in the story.

Sigilum, Constellus, Raggled, and Unfinding are words I made up. The Constellus Sigilum has something to do with constellations.

Each item could potentially spill into a story if the buyer is interested, and I already have a loose configuration of each story; they just need to be developed a bit further. Depending on which items are bought, some of you may need to exchange items to complete their stories.

Master K -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 20:18:12)

I think Marcelline would get the voodoo doll, simply because it reminds her of herself, and she wouldn't want it to go to anyone else.

"Plot Points"

Heh, that's cool. I like the concept of Jacques store.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 20:27:52)

Jaque's original description, from The Faintly Gallows:
quote:

Jack the Trader - A strange little fellow who stops into town every now and again. His black-and-white spotted horse almost looks like a cow, and it drags around a rickety little cart full of mysterious findings that Jack attempts to sell to the populace. He wears a finely-tailored suit: black shoes, pants, coat, top-hat, and gloves. For some odd reason he wears white paint over his entire face with black paint covering his lips and around his eyes. He's odd, that's for [expletive] sure, and the little trinkets he sells don't seem to do a [expletive] thing except [expletive] you off for not doing anything. People don't dislike him, and they actually anticipate seeing what sort of weird little trinkets he brings into town, but the town could certainly do without him.

It's got a 'Dark Souls' vibe to it; a lot of strange items with unknown origins and unknown purposes. You can save up your plot points to get better stuff, or spend them now. I'll add more to the list, hopefully, before Jaque rolls into town, and even more in the far future when he returns.

It was hard to put Akio's Katana on the list. That idea is spawned from a character that had developed in my mind recently and I wasn't sure if I wanted to connect her to this story, but I did anyway. If one was to buy it, you'd be in a very strict-set story, as I have something strictly laid out for it.

Master K -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 20:32:51)

I like that, Dark Souls is one of my favorite series. I'm curious to see what stories the trinkets will trigger...

Tdub -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 20:37:34)

Just checking in to say that I'm sorry for not posting, and my post will be up sometime tomorrow.

Master K -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 20:57:30)

Posted. Tried my best to bunny it.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 20:59:09)

Aww, I was gonna have Kit pick up the katana cause it would most likely remind her of home.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 21:15:20)

I never pictured Kit as being Japanese, lol.

Master K -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 21:19:07)

Now I'm starting to imagine the Hallows Inn as an anime.

...

...That'd be cool.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 21:25:26)

I hate anime. And manga while we're at it.

Master K -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 21:28:24)

Aw, that's depressing. I don't watch anime all that often, but my friend introduced me to it. The last one I watched was Steins;Gate. It started off slow and confusing, but turned into an awesome story about time travel and its consequences...But that's another story for another thread.

Right now, the main focus is that the Nazha are storming the inn, and we're trying to fight them off, and it isn't really working thus far.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 22:55:20)

Posted. Sera will be fine during the time Kit did all that chanting right? Right....

Also, Kit is under the impression that once she is done grilling the basics into Marcelline that she needs to teach her some actual defensive spells. Lol that umbrella.

Riprose123 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 22:58:39)

Plot points, oh boy.

Are we made aware when we get these, or do we just assume? Also, I want to post, but I'm not sure if I should wait for Bastet or not.

CAn I just have the key? >.> I really, really want the key. <.<

Also, Jack the Trader reminds me of that one merchant guy from Resident Evil 4

EDIT: Not sure what to post, since things seemed to have taken off when I was away for finals. Why do I get the feeling Maria is going to go a long while without getting Plot Points?

blankmaskara -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 23:02:43)

Well, I'll be sending Franklin off to engage another one of them if that helps (although I suspect he's going to need help. He isn't an able fighter after all). Hopefully the post will be up by Thursday forum time or some time like that.

On a side note, what do the digits beside the purchasable items mean? I get that they're a form of currency, but as to how it can be acquired and all that... I'm quite curious to know.

Riprose123 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 23:04:42)

My guess, how many there are in stock.

blankmaskara -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/20/2015 23:15:45)

Hm. That could be possible.

Gingkage -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/21/2015 0:24:49)

So. I think this effectively proves that I am rubbish at combat scenes. :P

And Draycos, depends on your definition of 'fine' I guess.

And I didn't really go into detail on it, but Sera did take more than that one blow to the arm. She has a few various nicks and scratches to places where her armor is naturally thinner by necessity or is even non-existent. The one to the shoulder was simply the only one that actually hinders her, even a little.

Zephyrial -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/21/2015 1:58:03)

Map map mappetymap map!
Or maybe the Necronomicon? I wonder. I'm still figuring out Kenet's backstory, so I'll leave my options open XD

Postwise... that was fun. I've been waiting to realise Kenet's battle style since I first put finger to key! TJ, hit Kenet with everything your one-armed wonder has to offer!

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/21/2015 4:47:53)

I had an idea with Kenet and I might use it in this battle.

As for Jaque, you'll all know when he comes into town. I wouldn't worry about him to much right now.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/21/2015 6:48:32)

I believe Sera would probably shake Kit off if she grabbed her. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or add something I missed that you believe she'd do.

Also the amount of blood Kit gave Sera is only capable of healing and nothing else.

Bastet -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/21/2015 9:33:23)

Whoops, sorry for disappearing for quite a while. I'll have a post up in a few hours. This time for sure.

Gingkage -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/21/2015 10:33:38)

Draycos, you're right. That's something Sera would do. Not only is she mainly a loner, so not much human contact at all, middle of battle, a hand on the arm could very easily be someone trying to kill her. So either way, she'd shake you off.

I'm kinda proud of that post. It shows Sera's thought processes and suspicions and I even managed to work in her background as a trader's kid. All in all, I'd call that a successful post.

Kellehendros -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/21/2015 18:43:06)

I must admit a small amount of trepidation concerning what comes next. I don't give Marietta good odds against a Nazha by herself, and everyone is rushing back to the inn, heh.

I'm going to be working on the post tomorrow, so we'll see what happens.

Tdub -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/21/2015 19:01:28)

Agreed, Kell, I'm working on mine now, and I honestly don't believe Lock can last against a Nazha. Post up later tonight.
