Here's a redux of my bio. Will edit in a much better history and appearance later.
Marcus Ariis
Faction: Independents
Alias: Current: none; Future: Vigil
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Appearance: Marcus stands 5'11, just shy of six feet. He has an athletically-built body build, tanned skin, jet black hair, and dark blue eyes. He has the exterior of an experienced soldier, and even his rough voice is reminiscent of past battles.
Powers: Marcus is merely a man, but is fairly skilled and experienced from being a soldier and mercenary. His Vigilant armor is what will give him 'powers'.
Abilities
Martial Artist - Marcus was trained in hand-to-hand combat during his military training, and further trained in the practice as a mercenary.
Acrobat - Marcus is an acrobat, allowing him to perform various feats and stunts.
Athlete - Marcus is in top condition from his training and experience.
Firearms Expert - Marcus is a soldier, and as such is familiar with various firearms, including but not limited to pistols, revolvers, assault rifles, sniper rifles, and shotguns. He's also a marksman.
Military Expertise - When it comes to military-grade equipment, weapons, vehicles, and structures, Marcus is fairly knowledgeable in the field.

Weaknesses: Marcus is only a man, so naturally, he has many weaknesses and can only withstand so much.
Personality: Hot-headed and dangerous, even to his allies. Marcus has a specific set of goals and will do anything to achieve them. He doesn't care who gets in his way, or what he has to go through - once Marcus sets his sights on an objective, he'll do most anything to get to it. But he's also not stupid, and understands the importance of teamwork, so he'll do what he can to keep them alive - but only until the mission is done. He's been described as cold, hard, and stubborn. At least his 'goals' is to protect the innocent, especially the young.
History: Marcus Ariis was an everyday civilian in New New York. He was well-known, and well-liked, within his neighborhood, similar to a suburb. After finishing school, Marcus signed up for the NNY military forces. After a few years he was finally deployed to a number of city-states outside of NNY, specifically in North Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and a few operations in Western Asia. After showing exemplary skills in combat he was quickly promoted and joined a special task force. This task force was assigned to various objectives that fought terrorism and rescued refugees, and they adopted the name 'the Vigilants'.
The Vigilants were active for a number of years until Marcus was 27 years old. At that time, something happened that jeopardized the task force, landing them in an intense firefight with no support. An error in the navigation systems had placed them in a dangerous area. After a few hours of fighting, the Vigilants was forced to make a hasty retreat, but suffered casualties in the process. Marcus and the survivors found a nearby safe-haven, full of refugees who had been surrounded by the terrorists. The Vigilants decided to make the safe-haven, which was a walled city, their standing ground.
The terrorists marched on the safe-haven and another intense battle began, but the Vigilants was backed up by the refugees. The refugees suffered heavy losses, and eventually the terrorists pushed through the defenses and stormed the city. The Vigilants were executed, except for Marcus who had managed to slip away.
Marcus didn't make it far out of the city until he was captured by a lone gunman. Rather than kill him, however, the man simply bound him and took him to a cave. The man was a mercenary, or at least he once was, and now offered his services for free to the refugees. He offered to train Marcus, and together the duo formed a bond.
For two years Marcus and his friend, known as Mavik, worked together to bring about the downfall of the terrorist organization which had defeated the Vigilants and stormed the safe-haven. But on their final victory, Mavik sacrificed himself to save Marcus. Marcus was spotted and rescued by NNY military forces, where he was brought back to New England to live out the rest of his life.
But Marcus still has work to do. He will soon take up the name Vigil and become a vigilante like Mavik once was.
