monstervet -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 18:16:34)

well it is AugustoCps opinion, and the topic is questioning our feelings and opinions about it so i dont think he needs an openmind, it works both ways actually, yes have an open mind to new things, however have an open mind about people who refuse new things, they may have certain circumstances that cause them to think that way and obviously there own opinions.

Sushi? like it cant make it, youd be amazed at peoples opinion about things, eww raw fish..... yum pig stomach soup! Eww co stomach.....yum chickens feet!

i have a simlar feel for this idea of fleshweaving, its on the not so cool side, deathknight, entropy, kathool adept, necromancer, and doomknight im okay with but for some reason.....fleshweaving.....it sounds like something from a horror movie. browsing through some move synopsis(s?) the name evokes the image of that clown movie by Eli Roth or that movie with the guy with pins on his head (havent seen the movies but it somehow reminds me of them)

I think everyone is on the same page for soul smith, it doesnt sound like a class "class" more like a job, title or skill, if an armor would be made im expecting it to be like the Angler armor, and yes i agree it being an advanced form of Blacksmithing would be cool (maybe an excuse to upgrade the destiny weapons artwork? just kidding)

Overall i doubt they will happen soon, maybe in the eventual future, some more npcs will appear with this type of knowledge, but i dont know if it will become an actual class, who would we learn the skills from? Roirr? the soulsmith that was rude and made that remark about us being frozen and not stopping the rose? (i would definitely not want him teaching me anything)
Or would they be DC classes, if they are they might be tier 3 (i doubt fleshweaver would come close to doomknight, perhaps somwhere along ascended chickencow or kathool adept maybe)

Would they carry soul allies as well?
i think we should give it time, we havent even scratched the surface and are already jumping to conclusions.

@Chaoshaper:

Lanrete: You've never heard of Soulsmiths? We are one of the 4 weaving families. Our specialization is binding Elemental Spirits in weapons.
Lanrete: Or sometimes forging weapons directly from Elemental Spirits.

Christophoses -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 18:24:04)

@monstervet

Maybe Izaac could teach us how to become a Soul Smith. I wouldn't mind learning this skill from him.

Fleshweaving could be taught to us from that Murk that owned the shop in Ravenloss back in book 1. I'm not sure if it was ever confirmed that that Murk was Roirr or not, otherwise that would change things.

Tomix -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 19:21:31)

If you'd have to devour Aegis in order to be able to unlock the Fleshweaver class, would you do it?
This is a serious question.
I can make a Fleshweaver class in the future, but you'd have to absorb your only one soulally to unlock it.

monstervet -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 19:28:00)

simple answer no.
complex answer no.

english? Spanish, any other language? NO

Thanks for that Tomix, its nice to know you read these things, and thanks to that i now have a clear reason and conviction to say no to Fleshweaver, kinda like the 90's and Mcgruff the crime dog.

So it wouldnt be a DC class im guessing......interesting.............

lightriftwalker122 -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 19:45:25)

@ Tomix Yes I would eat Aegis to unlock FleshWeaver. Aegis might not be with us forever ( If we die and go to the underworld) Aegis woudnt be with us anymore since we died. Since he says we are partners untill you die.

Christophoses -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 19:45:35)

@Tomix

I love the idea of walking around as any monster in the game and being able to travel through the para-elemental plane of spirits, but I can't part ways with one of my dearest friends. Can we take Cysero's Time Traveling Telephone Booth into the future, eat that version of Aegis, and come back to the present time and still have our Aegis around, while at the same time wielding the wickedly evil/awesome powers of a Fleshweaver? Would this be a possible loop hole?

Azan -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 19:46:47)

Definite no for me. Nobody's touching my sweet little Aeggy.

Tomix -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 19:48:14)

@Christophisis - No.

Brasca123 -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 19:50:14)

nah, if we had to devour aegis, than the class would become the new canon, as the staff could not make two stories, one for those that have aegis and one for those that devoured him, so fleshweaver is a no-no

if it was a DC class though... i wouldn't mind, non-cannon aegis eating is fine with me, just don't make it a cannonic class

Christophoses -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 19:54:49)

@Tomix

This decision is eviler than Roirr himself.

Would the class fall under the Tier-4 category, or would it be a Tier-1,2,3 kind of a thing?

lightriftwalker122 -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 19:59:46)

I would like it to be Canon. If there is two stories then the one where Aegis is devoured would probably the end result,

Christophoses -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:07:17)

What if we got a path system, like the Good and Evil faction in AQW? This way we could please both Aegis fans and non Aegis fans. This would be if the class is canon.

I agree with the idea of this class being non-canon. This is one class that I would really to practice, without there being any negative consequences. This is why the class should fall under the Tier-4 category. That way you get to wield the epic powers of a Fleshweaver while everything else remains the same.

I think we already lost enough in the Tomix Saga Finale, so losing anyone else would really be devastating.

flashbang -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:08:43)

@Chirstophisis Probably Tier 3. Ash has said there will be no more Tier 4 classes.

Ash -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:09:20)

There won't be a Tier 4 you earn in game like that. You got one by paying a bunch of real life money. You don't get to get one in game that breaks all balance standards. No meant no at every point in that regard.

Brasca123 -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:11:50)

@Christophisis. there won't be another tier 4 armor ever again, DmK became one by accident according to ash IIRC, there won't be any other, just DmK

path system is a big project, considering you'd need to make lots of releases with 2 storylines, DF has a small team, so that is unlikely, besides, the hero is a good guy, it'd be strange for you to actually devour aegis, though i'd like a quest in which you received the option of becoming a fleshweaver, and if you did... THE END [put some death explanation here], i like quests with THE END, and it's been a while since we had one IIRC

@ash. stop being a ninja, that's scary

Christophoses -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:17:52)

Meh, whatever.

This class should be in the game, but it should be non-canon. Aegis doesn't deserve to die, however we should be able to practice the arts of all 4 weaving families.

Despite the class not being Tier-4, I still think the class should have some fancy abilities like possessing any monster and having the ability to travel wherever at any time. The reason I mentioned Tier-4 is because if this class does have special features it shouldn't fall under Tier-1,2,3. Maybe it should fall under it's own category, like Tier-5 or Tier-X. This is where all classes that have special abilities would fall under.

Tomix -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:24:19)

If it will be in game, it will be canon.
If it gets in game.
That depends on you guys.
I can fulfill your wish... if you are willing to pay the price.

Christophoses -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:26:23)

@Tomix

Wouldn't this mean that we would no longer be able to practice the other 3 weaving arts, since they require a Soulally?

Azan -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:27:28)

Hmm... how exactly could such a class be canon? Since I doubt Roirr is just going to sit and teach us, that must mean there's somebody else out there who knows about Fleshweaving?

Either way, I vote against sacrificing Aegis. He's way too nice.

GreenGuy23 -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:28:25)

I saw the "devour Aegis" part, and instantly denied all ideas ever. Although, if we were to devour Aegis, would this completely destroy his soul, or would he just be gone? I can't stand the thought of competely destroying Aegis because we are greedy people. That's just... wrong. I don't use Aegis that much, but I just can't imagine destroying him - mind, body, and soul. Or, would it end up like Vaal, showing up and sharing a body...? Honestly though, if we were to destroy him, I don't really know whether he would understandour descision and just face his "death" or if he'd just try to weck us, ending in a fight. A skill for the class where Aegis shows up and just wrecks the place would be pretty cool.

In game, would be given the option to sacrifice/devour Aegis, or would it be as part of the game anyway, being forced to sacrifice him to gain tremendous power and save the world from some big bad evil (or something like that)?

@Tomix If we were to devour Aegis, would that lock the SoulWeaver class? The SoulSynch skill uses him to work, right? Nevermind. Saw other post Above.

Brasca123 -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:30:04)

@tomix. NO, just no, no-no, no way, complete no, don't even think of, it's just no, nonononononononono, if it will be cannon, the answer is no, having to consume aegis like that... that's just too creepy, not even pretty flames could make me want that idea, just throw it away please

Lord Arkatares -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:33:00)

@ Tomix

So body Snatching and Soul Devouring really are Flesh Weaver Skill's Then?

I'd hoped they were just Roirr Specific Skill's and that Flesh Weaver's was simply
the Art of Controlling and Weaponizing Flesh Blood and Bone the same way that
Soul Weavering Weaponizing it's own Native Power, Couldn't we just do that instead?

Please don't hurt aegis, Serenity was bad enough, PS: PLEASE give us a way to somehow
get her back, WE MISS HER !!!

PPS:And Yes I realize Her soul was Devoured through Time and Space, but I dont care,
I just want her back; that depressed moglin's sad face is TOO MUCH, Please right this wrong...

Christophoses -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:33:15)

@ GreenGuy23

Roirr and Vaal sharing a vessel was a mistake. From what I understood, when Roirr possesses a body the soul that fills that body is consumed, kind of like what happened with Serenity and Baron Valdrith.

Tomix -> RE: FleshWeaver and Soul Smith Class (4/28/2015 20:39:39)

Once you train as a Fleshweaver, soulweaving as well as any other form of weaving might be locked out.
Possessing others/body jumping is not a fleshweaver skill.
It's what Roirr does.
