*Pan shot of the grounds surrounding the Falconreach Guardian Tower at dusk before fading in. You walk up to the grounds where Valencia, Symone, and a large crowd of guardians and Rose soldiers are arranging plans to protect Falconreach. Upon arrival, you then approach Lafter who is carrying a torch and is looking concerned.*
Lafter: All the townspeople are set up in the Tower for safety.
<Character>: We'll need added fortifications along the southern edge.
Guardian Endnai: That will leave the eastern wall more exposed than I'd like.
Ispahan: Those stationed in Oaklore are aware of the danger.
Lafter: We have light, fire, and weapons standing by. We know now to not go into in the darkness. I'm not sure what else we can do at this point.
*Below the tower, the same blue creature who witnessed Caitiff's rampant behavior jumps in and out of the water, catching yours and Ispahan's attention.*
Ispahan: What... was that?
<Character>: I think an old friend is here for a visit...
*You run down to the shore in the Falconreach Bay. By the time you arrive, Aquella emerges from the depths, appearing battleworn.*
Aquella: <Character>, it's been a long time.
<Character>: Aquella! Is everything ok...
*Aquella's looks at the remains of the Flying Dracolich Fortress lingering in the bay. Then she looks back at you with a displeased glare.*
Aquella: I thought I warned you before about you humans leaving broken things in my waters.
<Character>: That wreck is a little... more than we can move.
Aquella: There's something even worse in the water, <Character>.
Aquella: It looked... it looked like it was once human but now... now Darkness has seeped through it.
<Character>: ... Caitiff.
Aquella: Whatever it's called... it's trying to find out more about you, I think. It visited The Locker... Tethys... it almost woke the Ancient One.
<Character>: Oh no...
Aquella: I don't think it was prepared for... whatever it was shown.
Aquella: Even in sleep, the Ancient One plays games if you get too close.
<Character>: Is Caitiff still in the water?
Aquella: No, but it emerged close to here. Be careful, <Character>...
Aquella: ...you humans need to survive to eventually start cleaning up your messes. Good luck...
*She submerges back down into the depths of the bay. The sun is almost out of sight and the night draws closer.*
<Character>: ......
<Character>: Time to fight.
