DragonKeeper -> RE: =DF= Battle Strategy Thread (5/12/2024 7:57:09)

Monster/Quest
Monster/Quest Name: Fallen Kingdom at the Chaos Board at the Inn at the Edge of Time.
Character Link: 47351602
Dragon Amulet (yes/no): Yes
Level: 90
Build: DoomKnight v2
Weapons Equipped: Exalted Apotheosis / Uragiri
Accessories Equipped: BIS all resist gear
Stats: Dex 200 END 200 WIS 45
Pets Equipped: Pet Dragon 200 protection, 200 fighting, 200 assistance
Previously Used Strategies: I Beat both Corvak and King Alteon individually a couple of years ago with clumsy strategy and food.

Notes: The Fallen Kingdom challenge is really complex until I figure it out. Corvak seems to have a complex interaction and nuke strategy. Both the King and Corvak hit like mac trucks because I guess I am doing something wrong. Corvak is especially touchy regarding the fact that he must be hit with certain elements in a certain order. Any helpful advice and beneficial instructions would be greatly appreciated.

AstralCodex's KAA and DmK vids should still hold viability for those two, with the distinction that Alt's parts mechanic now also detects DoT damage (go ahead and figure out how that is relevant, especially for DmK). And just like before, BiS All resist for general resistance as they do hit like a truck. If you're egotistical against crutches/(extra) pots yet still feeling cornered, just take a page on Eulin II, Weird Duo, and Unending Empires on element-specific loadouts once you solo Corvak. Plus, equipping a Geode Weapon should be a choice.

Does anyone have advice on how to defeat Mutagen U, the final spider boss in the Arachnalchemy training arc?

As the fight does not forbid Arachnalchemy point distribution, you may enhance your playstyle by using HP potions at opportune moments, especially if your All resist build has yet to mature. Of course, Bring Hero Diet if not confident.

Tested with EPL with 200 STR, the rest of point allocation up to you (for the sake of sanity though, no more than 4 trained stats. In my case, did a 200 STR, 145 END, 100 WIS configuration. To minimize risks, you can just follow the standard issue 200 STR/END 45 WIS), and it could wear down Mutagen U. Start the fight with Thorn Cyclone (if you have the Bonus to (barely) punch through its above average MPM/BPD) or Midnight Blade+Vine Whip (if you don't) and then follow the double Drain rotation. Since U's specs encourage mounting an offensive, I'd recommend reserving your Candy empowerments for Endless Night (empowering Midnight Blade is overkill) during the double Drain phase then Bramble Shield once double Drain is fully set, alternating in empowering those two unless you're starting the Drain setup again during which Creeping Roots is priority. Matured builds can anticipate winning without chugging potions or Hero Diet (didn't even have to heal swap during the entire fight).

Haven't tested BDL yet, but BDL doing BDL things should have the same outcome as above.

EDIT: Yep, my BDL test run (basic STR/END/WIS build) won without issue. Was nearly tempted to chug a potion as EPL is somehow chonkier than BDL (my HP did actually go below 50% with BDL unlike with EPL).
