Dialogue

*Sirius wakes up in Verteroche Crossing while you watch over him; as he wakes up, he calls out his sister, Kassandra; in a distance, Kassandra's ship sinks underwater.*

Sirius: Kass!
<Character>: Sirius! It's okay... it's okay... You're awake!
Sirius: W-Where's Kass?!
<Character>: She... She stayed behind... She said she needed to stop the Fear Engine from causing more damage...
<Character>: She said she was going to be right behind us... but...
Sirius: We have to go back! We have to make sure she's okay!
<Character>: Sirius...
<Character>: I need you to remain calm. You're still hurt.
<Character>: And I'm still not sure what happened to you back there.
<Character>: You started glowing! And you sprouted wings!
Sirius: So it did work... The Celestial...
Sirius: I have always felt its presence in the artifact, but I never thought it would ever communicate with me... let alone possess me.
<Character>: Is that artifact going to be a danger to you or others?
<Character>: If I leave you here to go look for Kass, will you be okay?
Sirius: I... I don't know. But... we have to find Kass! We have to!

*Sirius tries to get up, but is hurt by the excessive pain in his arms for using Inanitas' power.*

Sirius: Ahh! Hah...
<Character>: Sirius! Stop. You need to rest. I'll go and see if I can kind Kass!
Sirius: No! I'm coming with you!
<Character>: Absolutely not! Look at yourself. You'll be more of a burden in your current state.
<Character>: If I don't find her, then we can look together, okay?
Sirius: Alright... Okay...
Sirius: ...Thank you, <Character>.

*You fight various aquatic creatures underwater as you move closer to Kassandra's ship; eventually, you find the room where the Fear Engine is; the Fear Engine is still active, however, its portal is now emitting a black and white color instead of the usual purple.*

<Character>: The Fear Engine... but... it doesn't look like it's been shut down...
<Character>: Kass! Are you here?!

*There is no response.*

<Character>: Where could she be?

*You approach the Fear Engine.*

<Character>: I should probably just—

*You strike the Fear Engine, destroying it completely.*

<Character>: There we go. Just in case...
<Character>: I'll take another look around and then report back to Sirius.

*You leave Kassandra's ship; back in Verteroche Crossing, you report to Sirius after your failure to find Kassandra.*

<Character>: I'm sorry, Sirius, I didn't find her.
Sirius: ...
<Character>: But maybe she's still out there somewhere. If she is, we'll find her.
Sirius: Yeah.
Sirius: Yeah, we'll find her...
<Character>: Are your arms feeling any better?
Sirius: Yes... Yes, the pain is almost gone, now.
Sirius: ...
Sirius: I trust you, <Character>. If you didn't find her, then there was probably nothing to find down there.
Sirius: Still... She could have escaped. She could still be out there.
Sirius: ...I should start considering my next steps.
Sirius: Though I plan to continue searching for Kass, I need to start taking my imperial tasks more seriously.
Sirius: Facing that fear version of myself made me realize something.
Sirius: I can't let the role of Emperor scare me.
Sirius: Becoming Emperor is what I make of it, not the other way around.
Sirius: Perhaps one day, my empire will be shaped by my vision, not fueled by backhanded tactics where secrets are power.
Sirius: But I still have much to learn. More reason to stay in Greenguard, besides my search for Kass.
Sirius: I... I will have to write a message to my father.
<Character>: Think he'll approve of your choice?
Sirius: I'm not sure. My father has always been a hard man to read.
Sirius: The nature of his position, I suppose.
Sirius: I don't know if I'll have his support. The Empire is how it is under his rule, so... Perhaps he'll see me as a challenger.
Sirius: Or maybe my mother could persuade him. She has always been... if not supportive, kinder, toward my endeavors.
Sirius: And if that fails, I suppose they'll just send the Arcana to whisk me away...
<Character>: Well, if that ever happens, you know where to find me. And you'll have my support.
Sirius: Thank you, <Character>. That means more than you know.
Sirius: I suppose... I should tend to my wounds.
Sirius: Then I'd like to continue the search for Kass.
<Character>: That sounds like a plan!

*You smile as the scene fades to black.*
