Dialogue
  • Vilmor joins you as Guest A.
  • Galanoth joins you as Guest B.

*Scene opens with you, Galanoth, and Vilmor sitting around a campfire in their camp on the Northlands while your dragon and Cryozen socialize with each other; Vilmor and Galanoth talk about their experience with Dragonsgrasp.*

Vilmor: ...That's it, really. After everything that happened, it's easier for them to leave me alone. Bigwig expectations, though? Different story.
Galanoth: I can handle that just fine. I had some slack already; the Great One being so distant helped with that.
Galanoth: So whether the old guard likes it or not, I'm already out and focusing on my own people. It's the younger ones that still reach out.
    Galanoth: Especially the kids.
Galanoth: They started out avoiding me, and I was fine with that. But then they got curious and wanted to know more about the Speaker.
Galanoth: They were told they were safe because of the Great One, so I went from being their boogeyman to someone they looked up to.
<Character>: I didn't take you for this much of a softie for the kids.
Galanoth: I usually put someone else in charge of protecting them.
Vilmor: It's a lot for me to digest that a Dragonslayer became a hero to them, but... To be honest?
Vilmor: You're putting a lot more thought into the kids doing well than they did when I grew up.
Vilmor: I didn't notice until it hurt... the people around me, but back then it was mostly just heaping expectations onto them.
Vilmor: So I was about to say you could just do what I did: Tell people to shove off and then keep busy until they get the message...

*Your dragon breathes fire at a nearby tree, creating a mohawk-esque hair with icicles at Cryozen.*

Vilmor: ...But I don't think it's my experience that you need here. You're giving those kids the childhood you didn't have. That the kids before them deserved.
Galanoth: ...Yeah. And it feels wrong to back out on that.
Vilmor: So don't. Focus on your people, but go see them every now and then. You don't need an excuse. And if you ever do, take <Character> with you.
<Character>: Oh, we're personally taking Galanoth to see the kids, aren't we <Dragon>? We're not missing this for the world.
<Dragon>: If my future minions need Galanoth storytime to grow up strong and loyal, I'll deliver! | *Supportive roar*

*Cryozen remains silent on your dragon's words as he appears annoyed on what your dragon did to him earlier.*

    Galanoth: Alright.

*You look up at the sky as it is about to go to sunrise.*

<Character>: Let's pack up and get moving. The longer we spend in one place, the more likely we'll be found by the Hollow.

    Outside Ice Dragon Territory

*You fight various monsters as you and your allies push towards the Ice Dragon territory; during the exploration, Vilmor and Galanoth comment on their progress.*

Vilmor: We prefer to work alone, but I'm glad Cryozen is getting to socialize. The dragons seem to be getting along., Galanoth: ...

Vilmor: What?, Galanoth: Nothing. Just tracking.

Galanoth: Something was taken down here, then dragged away...

Vilmor: Are the Hollow... hunting dragons?, Galanoth: Or maybe anything else alive.

Vilmor: ..., Galanoth: Ice dragon territory. We'll have to fight our way through.

*Galanoth, your dragon, you, Vilmor, and Cryozen reach the Ice Dragon territory; upon reaching it, however, they are suddenly ambushed by a trio of Hollow Dravir, only for wiped out by three Ice Dragons; these dragons are led by Aisha, who appears momentarily as she confronts you and your allies for entering her territory.*

Aisha: It's as I told you, my kin. If you don't wipe out a pest completely, another will soon join it. Before we correct this, though...
<Character>: Wait, can we please get through this without a monologue?
Aisha: Fine. Satisfy my morbid curiosity. You, humans, who by all sense should fade underfoot as dragons reclaim the world.
Aisha: You know you are unwelcome here.
Aisha: You three especially know nothing but death awaits you in my domain. So what new depth of stupidity leads you into it?
<Character>: I feel like that was at least half of a monologue, but fine.
Cryozen: Hail, old hag! | *Taunting greeting chirp*
<Dragon>: Wow, rude. | *Snide chortle*
Aisha: And you tarnish the learning days of the Great Dragon of Ice, who should live among our kind in glory.

*Galanoth readies his blade against Aisha.*

Galanoth: Words never once worked with this one...

*Galanoth sways his blade against Aisha, signifying that it is not time for fighting.*

Galanoth: ...but if we fight now, they'll be on us the entire way. I hate to say it, but the mission is more important.
Vilmor: Exactly. Aisha, we're fighting the same threat that you are.
Vilmor: If the DragonLords hadn't stopped it, your domain would already be drowning in its spores.
Aisha: The fungal spread has stopped. The only ones who have continued to fall to it have been those too weak or disloyal to be worth saving.
Aisha: It pleases me to be rid of both. We will cleanse the remains of the dead blight on our own time.
<Character>: It's not dead anymore. We're hunting fresh Hollow. That means your dead are feeding a new hive somewhere.

*After you give the reason why you and your allies hunting fresh Hollow, Vilmor asks Aisha to give them passage.*

Vilmor: We can't stand each other on the best of days. I wouldn't bring anyone here without a good reason. You need them gone too. Consider it a service.
Aisha: Do you hear that, brethren? They would ask that we accept a feat as tribute. They might have their uses after all.
Aisha: When a pest kills another, that's not tribute. However, I will grant the Great Ice Dragon passage, as a favor. They may bring some retinue.
Aisha: The slayer must turn back. Now.
<Character>: What makes you think we're going to send Galanoth back on his own when you've ambushed us before?!

*Galanoth nods and smiles as he reluctantly accepts Aisha's condition.*

Galanoth: I'll be fine. The queen obviously intends to grant me safe passage back.

*Vilmor, you, and Aisha are surprised by Galanoth's response.*

Aisha: I—, Galanoth: Her Majesty is a wise ruler. She has no reason to do something so obviously, stupidly, treacherous.
Galanoth: She's the queen of the Ice Elves, who serve her loyally and not because she has them cowed under the thumb of dragons.
Galanoth: She wouldn't make them think one human made the strongest of those dragons feel threatened enough to ambush him all alone.
Galanoth: She especially wouldn't offer passage to the Great Dragon of Ice, then betray him by killing his ally.
Vilmor: Smooth. Alright, we'll take it from here if Her Majesty can let you walk back. ...Thank you.
Galanoth: I'm sure she'll be fine with it. I mean, imagine what backstabbing you would do to her authority over ice dragons.
Galanoth: One moment of vengeance could cost her everything.

*You smile at Galanoth before he leaves, but not before another comment on Aisha; Galanoth entrusts you and Vilmor to continue the mission.*

Galanoth: Just something to chew on.

*Aisha is briefly annoyed at Galanoth before calming herself as the latter accepted her deal.*

Vilmor: Well? What's it going to be?
Aisha: Do your work and leave.

*Aisha leaves; scene fades to black.*
