Vader -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (11/16/2005 22:03:32)

your Gimp files? do you mean your Gimp folder? I'm not quite sure what you're asking, could you try to explain it differently?

Leon fayte -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (11/16/2005 22:05:25)

how do i take fonts from dafont.com and make it so i can use them when making sigs?

Vader -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (11/16/2005 22:11:38)

follow the tut, just click Download, and follow from there, tell me what part you are having a problem with and I will try to help

AnakinGFX -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (11/17/2005 10:12:12)

Also my gimp folder only allows me to save on my desktop not my folder?

Vader -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (11/17/2005 16:00:01)

when you save an image and the save window comes up, go to the folder that you want to save it in and click save. Does that answer your question?

Servers -> RE: Vader's Gimp tut (11/20/2005 12:30:00)

Umm do you know how to get a better text in there? Because I just made this sig(IM A STARTER) and I really dont like the font.

Vader -> RE: Vader's Gimp tut (11/20/2005 12:50:49)

with text, almost always use defaults, (texts that come with the program, which is what you used) and select the box that says Antialising in the tool options, otherwise it will come out pixelated.

with that sig, I'd probably make the text a blue color, one thing you could do is make a layer under your colored text and type the same thing in black, then move that layer 1 pixel down and one pixel right, to get a sort of outlined look. You could also make the text blue and go to Layer> Transparency>Alpha to Selection, then go to Selection>Grow and use 1 pixel, then make a new layer under your text layer and fill it with black.

there's also alot of other stuff that you can do to the text, like you can use the underscore (you know, this: ___) and drag it into your text to add a little style

and check out this tut, great for text:

If you want new fonts, go here:

Soul Taker -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (12/1/2005 23:42:36)

people keep telling me i need to better blend this pic, how exactly do I blend http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c147/soul_taker93/NightElf.jpg

Vader -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (12/2/2005 6:49:07)

for that you don't need to blend much, but for blending it is usually good to use the smudge tool or blur tool with the 1 pixel round brush and go around the edges. It is easier if you are zoomed in

mega vampire23 -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (12/4/2005 19:12:33)

mega vampire23 -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (12/4/2005 19:26:38)

how do you draw

Vader -> RE: [GIMP] Vader's Tuts and Gimp Help (12/4/2005 19:29:01)

draw? Gimp isn't a program for drawing, it's for image editing, and is used for making sigs and other graphics
