Talk Guardian Fortuna: They attacked without warning. The focus of their attack seems to be the Guardian tower! Guardian Fortuna: I was instructed by the Tower Commander to get as many villagers out of town as possible and call for reinforcements. Guardian Fortuna: But when I got back.... the Dragon and his army had already reached the tower! Guardian Fortuna: By the light.... you are <Character>! If you are here, we can retake the town! Your fellow adventurers are already down there. Guardian Fortuna: There are a lot of us, so if we run strategic we can help those who are trapped and push back the invaders! Dragon Guardian Fortuna: I heard his minions say his name.... and I am certain. That Dragon is Gorgok Guardian Fortuna: Gorgok the Terrible Earth Dragon! He is infamous for all sorts of horrible tragedies and known by so many terrible names... Guardian Fortuna: Guys... this is serious.... Guardian Fortuna: Sigh Robina... Guardian Fortuna: ... Willowshire (before Memory-Demons) Guardian Fortuna: Hail, <Character>. The Dragon's army has been driven back, thanks to you. But there is still work to be done... Talk Guardian Fortuna: Gorgok was defeated and most of the town was saved! It's unbelievable that you beat him. Guardian Fortuna: Even though the Dravir continue besiege the town I will continue to fight for Willowshire. Guardian Fortuna: I will not rest until the town has been retaken and the Green Dragon's minions are defeated. Guardian Fortuna: I will not rest until the town is ours once again! Dravir Siege! - begins Willowshire Burns! quest. Refight Gorgok! - begins Slay Gorgok! quest. Willowshire (after Memory-Demons) As original dialogue, with additional options: The Dravir? Guardian Fortuna: After Gorgok's last defeat it flew away while its Dravir kept attacking anyone they could find. Guardian Fortuna: They burned our fields and our homes and set up a camp in our old town square. Most of the survivors went into hiding. Guardian Fortuna: Those of us who refused to run set up a resistance movement. Guardian Fortuna: We've been holding out for King Alteon to send us reinforcements but the Dravir have stopped every messenger that we have sent to Swordhaven. Guardian Fortuna: It took some time but we discovered that Gorgok was in a healing sleep in the hills near here. Guardian Fortuna: The dragon is heavily guarded by Dravir while it sleeps... not that we could hope to kill it even in its sleep. Guardian Fortuna: We heard that you were showing up and the Priestess sent us a magic message telling us about you and your dragon, <Dragon>. Guardian Fortuna: Her magic must be too subtle or too strong for the Dravir to block her messages to us. Guardian Fortuna: We believe that you have the power to defeat Gorgok or at least put it back into its healing coma. Will you help us? Gorgok? - see 'Gorgok?' dialogue Gorgok? Guardian Fortuna: I hoped that I would never see the day, but Gorgok has returned. Guardian Fortuna: We've been trying to rebuild since the dragon's first attack but the Dravir that it controls destroy things as fast as we can build them. Guardian Fortuna: Its wounds from the last battle have healed. It has grown too strong for an average hero or even a guardian to defeat... Guardian Fortuna: ...and it is preparing to finish Willowshire off with its renewed strength. Guardian Fortuna: We will never find peace until Gorgok is destroyed! Guardian Fortuna: It will be a hard fight but even if you don't finish Gorgok, any small defeat will cause the Dravir to fall back. Guardian Fortuna: That will give us some hope of taking our town and our Guardian Tower back! Will you help us? Battle Gorgok! - begins Gorgok Returns! quest. How can I help? Guardian Fortuna: Fight with us, <Character>. With your help we may take back more of the town. The Earth Orb Guardian Fortuna: There is more work to be done, <Character>. Dravir Siege - see 'Talk' dialogue. Gorgok? - see 'Gorgok?' dialogue. Guardian Tower? Guardian Fortuna: Gorgok may have been defeated but he still lives. Many of his minions rushed into the Guardian Tower during the battle. Guardian Fortuna: Whatever they're after must still be down there...and maybe they haven't found it yet. Guardian Fortuna: I hate to ask you this after all you've done for us already..but I think you're the only one who can get this job done... Guardian Fortuna: Please <Character>, Go into our Guardian Tower and find what those Dravirs are after before they get it. Who knows what could happen if they get it first! I've learned even the strangest things can yield information to a quest. Quest - begins The Map Room quest. Key Orb Guardian Fortuna: Work quickly, <Character>... the closer you come to finding the Nature half of the Orb... Guardian Fortuna: The more likely you are to draw attention to your quest. Quest - begins New Face of Entropy quest. Nature's Keeper Guardian Fortuna: Where has the Nature Orb been all this time? Quest - begins Nature's Keeper quest. Surehunter Woes Guardian Fortuna: Do what you have to get the Earth Orb back, <Character>! Before Gorgok... before the Entropy Dragon can get it's claw on it! Quest - begins Surehunter Woes quest. Earth and Entropy Guardian Fortuna: Who knows what the treasure hunter can do with the power of the Earth Orb! You have to recover it before the Entropy Dragon! Quest - begins Earth and Entropy quest. Hidden Blades - teleports player to Hidden Blades. Thank you! Guardian Fortuna: Thank you, <Character>. Even through the Earth Orb is lost, we still have our town. Guardian Fortuna: Lord Valorus worked hard with our weaponsmith to craft these special weapons in thanks. Earth Shop - opens Fortuna Thanks shop. A Rock and A Dark Place Guardian Fortuna: Did... did you say, Lord Valorus?! Guardian Fortuna: But... I don't understand... he disappeared almost a 1000 years ago?! Guardian Fortuna: Did Valorus tell you what was held in the Tower? What Gorgok is after? Guardian Fortuna: Gone?! Guardian Fortuna: So Gorgok's minions have won... Guardian Fortuna: Rare item hunter? We have several scavengers in town, but none who could be called that. Guardian Fortuna: Which way did she go, Rahl? Guardian Fortuna: <Character>, you have to go after her. She's the only one Valorus could have meant when he said Rare Item hunter. Guardian Fortuna: No one else has gone north. The Badlands are the remains of a 1000 year old battlefield... they're said to be cursed. Guardian Fortuna: You said Lord Valorus called you a hero. After everything you've done in Willowshire, I know you are. Guardian Fortuna: Please, <Character>, find her. Recover the Secret of the Thorn. The Secret of the Thorn Guardian Fortuna: <Character>! Did you catch the thief? Is the Secret of the Thorn safe? Guardian Fortuna: I... I have to trust you, <Character>... Guardian Fortuna: Besides, we have another problem... Guardian Fortuna: Since you've unlocked Lord Valorus... the dravir have pushed us back. The Tower of Earth, and Lord Valorus, are under their control. Guardian Fortuna: ... New Face of Entropy Guardian Fortuna: Trey has the complete Earth Orb?! Guardian Fortuna: The Blade of Awe but... but that's just a legend... Guardian Fortuna: Gorgok? Not again! Guardian Fortuna: Take me there at once! Guardian Fortuna: No! Guardian Fortuna: NO!! Guardian Fortuna: The southern square! All of those people... Guardian Fortuna: We... we were barely pushing back the Stone Dragon... how can we fight this? Guardian Fortuna: Look! There are still people in those houses! Guardian Fortuna: So now we have two enemies.... Guardian Fortuna: We have to recover the Orb. Who knows what damage will be done with it.... Nature's Keeper Guardian Fortuna: So Gorgok has aligned with Sepulchure's minions and is now after the full power of the Earth Orb... Guardian Fortuna: ..But where has the Nature Half of the Orb been for so long? Guardian Fortuna: But how did you get it? And what did you use it for... shapeshifting? Guardian Fortuna: How is it possible? Guardian Fortuna: Amazing.... Entropic Earth Boss Guardian Fortuna: Guardian.. are you alright? Guardian Fortuna: Is it over, <Character>? Guardian Fortuna: There have been reports of infighting amongst them, even though many still continue to attack Willowshire. Guardian Fortuna: We have had an easier time repelling the attacks though. The southern squares in town have been retaken. Guardian Fortuna: What about the Secret of the Thorn? Can we finally return the Earth Orb to the Willowshire Tower? Guardian Fortuna: Then Willowshire will persevere without it. Guardian Fortuna: I didn't lose the town to the dragon. We won't lose it to it's scattered minions either. Guardian Fortuna: The Guardians of the Thorn will continue to protect Willowshire. Guardian Fortuna: Now, you have to stop Sepulchure. With the Earth Orb in his arsenal, he's more dangerous than ever. Guardian Fortuna: Go. Other information After completion of Earth and Entropy, in Willowshire, 'The Earth Orb' button is replaced by 'Quests!' and 'How can I help?' dialogue is placed below it; Slay Gorgok! quest also become inaccessible. 'The Earth Orb' quest chain became locked under completion of Memory-Demons on September 15th, 2023. Guardian Fortuna previously appeared in the retired zones Willowshire (Rare) and Dragon Attack at Willowshire!; any retired content has been archived on its respective entry.
