Hydra Boss (Books 1 and 2)


Location: Path connecting Oaklore Keep (Books 1 and 2) and Falconreach (Books 1 and 2)
Level/Quest/Items required: Completion of Zorbak's Prank
Release Date: October 7th, 2006

Objective: A three headed Hydra blocks the path to Falconreach.
Objective completed: Onward to Falconreach! Be sure to set your home town in the Inn.

Scaled Yes/No: Yes

<Character>: Serpent.... Sir Pent.... Heh, I get it, very funny.... Too bad though... I was hoping for a good boss fight.

*Crunch!*

<Character>: Woah, what was that?

*Three hydras pop out and the battle starts*

After Battle:

You have defeated the Hydra and cleared the path to Falconreach! As you turn and cheer, the giant Hydra head comes up behind you! Then it suddenly collapses over and becomes wedged in the broken part of the bridge. (Whew!)

Be sure to set your hometown to Falconreach by talking to Serenity, in the inn!


Hydra: ... and if you thought I was too easy, just wait until the Hydra's lair opens up! Mwahahaha!

    Sir Pent: So, I was supposed to go and take care of a little infestation in one of the caves ages ago.... Anyways, want to see a Hydra's Lair?

    *The character is on Oaklore's bridge. Surprisingly, it's fixed. Anders is on it, crouching.*

    Anders: Hmm...

    *Anders stands up*

    Anders: Yep, I think that does it.
    Anders: Guess I can go tell the folks in Oaklore that their bridge is fixed, and collect my pay!

    *A weird sound is heard from the water*

    Anders: ... That was a weird noise...
    <Character>: ...

    *A huge zombie hydra head bursts out of the water and busts the bridge once more. Anders is thrown into the air*

    <Character>: !!!!!!!!
    <Character>: MAN you are ugly!

    *While still in the air, Anders screams:*

    Anders: AWW COME ON!!!!

    *Anders falls into the water*

    Fight three zombie hydra heads.

    Victory!

    Amazingly, the slain hydra fell in EXACTLY the right way to allow you to cross the busted bridge by walking on its head. Congrats!
