The level 50 frozen claymore has a special that appears to do roughly 100% Damage, but also give the opponent an additional -100 Ice resistance for 50 turns, and gives you +25 fire resistance for the same amount of time. It happens rather frequently, and is not on hit, you must use the attack button. I can assume that other versions of the weapon act similarly.


  • Note: The weapon's special does not have to hit to give the effect to you and your enemy.
  • Note (Level 5-80 Only): If your base class is Warrior or Rogue, this weapon will deal Melee damage. If your base class is Mage, this weapon will deal Magic damage.
  • Note (Temporary Only): This weapon only deals Melee damage, regardless of your base class. (This does not affect the amount of damage you deal, regardless of base class.)
  • Note (Temporary Only): In battle with Akriloth this weapon triggers and inflicts him with the effect "weaken," lowering his resistance to Ice by -250 and giving you "Strengthen" which gives a resistance to Fire of +60 for 50 turns. These can stack with the weapon's special to give Akriloth a total of -350 resistance to Ice and you a total of +85 resistance to Fire.
