The other one was 79.84 kb, this one is like 42 kb.

testing out ma new sigga, also how the heck to I get it smaller

Your sig is 442x127 px. It's 27 pixels too tall. You can either crop your sig, which will remove part of the image, or resize it. You can do this with any photo-editing software. Many image hosting sites also offer this function. ~TF

While their sizes are fine, they are .png files. Only avatars with .jpg and .gif file extensions are accepted. ~Stray Cat

You need to upload the picture to an image-hosting site like photobucket, then paste the direct link in between image tags to get it to work. ~TF

Hi there. I made a sig and it happens to be the first one I made. Did I do it right?

Unfortunately, it's 1 pixel too tall. ~TF

^ That's not possible. When I resized it I made it 500x100 pixels in total area. Unfortunately I cannot change it right now as I am not on the computer that has it saved, but I will recheck to see if the size is too big. I might have made a mistake. If I did, I will fix it.

I'm seeing 478x101 px. ~TF

Please refer to the " =AE= Frequently Asked Questions" thread (point 7) for details on submitting avatars. That particular avatar is 100x100, so it exceeds the limits of 95x95. ~Stray Cat

(EDIT: sig closed for renovation indefinitely)

Your two images are 196.55KB apiece, and therefore violate the file size limit of 50KB. Additionally, the maximum dimensions of a signature are 500x100. This includes all images and text, so placing your two images together also makes your signature too tall. ~Stray Cat
