seriously what is this ?
EMP is the only unblockable energy draining skill . and it is the only skill can can be done with a sword :o , i feel this is too much for a very affectable skill in the battle , it should take slightly less energy plus it have to have a wrist blade weapon requirement

it takes energy to use it unlike other skills which just steals without energy and adds to energy. you can malf them... you are a tech mage.

I think emp should increase with support, i dont know, i mean Hunters with tech build are deadly, high smoke and a build killer emp + killer robot. Also they use tank builds, that means, its hard to damage them, and they recover that damage with bloodlust, while blocking a lot because shadow arts + a lot of dex.

Guys, EMP keeps balance in the game. I have no problem with the skill what so ever. Also as a tech mage, you can regain that energy via assimilation and/or reroute. Plus you can nerf them with malf. Also there is alot of support abuse going around and I do not want the BH to stun me every battle. Give EMP a 3 turn cool down.

yeah assimilation is OP. Tank mage with assimilation gets a 20:1 win rate. Battle mage gets a 1:1 win rate with out assimilation as the skill doesn't work for them anyways. Casters also get a 20:1 win rate. EMP is fine and is not OP.

He is saying that is all and fine for TM but what about the other classes that don't have Assimilation?

Merc its the most affected class against EMP, i mean the only way a merc can get energy back its using the Generator core, and thats it.

BH and BM- Reflex Boost (i know isnt that useful, but its something)
Tech Mage and Tact Merc - Reroute (And assimilation for tech mages)
CH - Static Charge (Its still better than nothing)

lol even if mercs use the generator core they will use emp again.... so tht kind of beats the purpose.....

and yeah even i have had a problem with these hunters who use EMP cause it is like powerfull, doesn't use too much energy... no wep requirement.... a bit to strong for my liking...

it isn't up to me , whether i am a TM or not .
the fact that EMP have no wep requirement is the problem . 5 focus BH and CH holds a sword to gain that 5 extra stats and they still can effect the battle in a huge way by the EMP even at lvl 1 . some characters use it at lvl 4 which drain like 45+ EP . with not that much energy cost plus the fact that it is not blockable :o
as a TM BM Merc TLM u can't do a sword 5 focus build or u will give up the energy draining .
BM dont even have an energy draining skill .

If this is about BH/CH being OP more so than EMP, then the problem would definitely be in the fact that you can stack shadow with ninja reflexes and smoke. EMP takes a fair chunk of energy and requires 1 turn without any damage to use. This may seem fairly good, but it isn't that great when used by BHs because they need to attack to gain blood lust benefits.

okay so imagine a BH , smoke and EMP and the bot all improves with tech .
so a skill that drain the most energy in the game at least should be blockable , but as long as it is a grenade it should at least cost way more energy or at least drain less energy , don't even forget that it is the only energy draining skill that works with sword .
this is too much .
some BH are abusing TM but with a sword and a lvl 5 focus , so what is the deal with that ? he can smoke and the blocks shall start , he take my EP to the ground with no fear cause it is unblockable
and then come a huge attack by the bot . :o

10 energy is a lot, and you can do the same to you're opponent if you're a hunter as well. EMP isn't OP; without it, we couldn't handle TM casters since they can pretty much take away everyone's energy while replenishing a large amount of their own, leaving TLM and other TMs the only class that can still drain EP at that point.

Also, you said it takes the most energy. It takes around 25-30 at level 1 and costs 10 energy. Atom smasher costs 40% less energy, is blockable, and takes away less than 5 EP compared to that. So how come atom smasher isn't OP? If you're complaining about the fact that it scales with tech, then just slow down the block chance scaling to weaken smoke since it improves with tech as well, rather than blaming it all on a skill that serves its purpose. A CH without emp can't do anything against strength BMs, let alone the already hard time they're having with them. A BH without EMP or a weakened EMP can't do anything to casters as well since it costs a fair amount of energy and doesn't give benefits of blood lust. Also, ED is a strategy game (most PvP-focused games are). Just changing it to be blockable would entirely kill that idea off more so than it already is, and make EMP unreliable. The thing about atom smasher is that it doesn't have nearly as negative of an impact compared EMP when you're blocked since it costs almost half of EMP at level 1.

And this brings up another point I mentioned earlier, why is atom smasher not OP and EMP is? It can be absolutely abused by TLMs to no end while tanking with infernal android, to slowly but surely remove all the opponent's energy and healing capabilities with minimal loss.
