I just heard that all passive skills are going to be made active and I feel that this is a terrible mistake which could end up chasing away a number of the veteran players in order to please newer players who have not shown the dedication to supporting this game that the veterans show every day (my battle portal gamer level is over 90). The subtle, behind the scenes bonuses of the passive skills are integral part of developing any build and have always been a fundamental aspect of success within the game. You've been changing the game so much in the last few months that people haven't had a chance to adjust to the changes before a whole new set of obstacles are thrown in their way. If you are dead set on this change, then please please please consider the following compromises: - You could set passive skills to give 30% of their current effect constantly, which can be raised to 100% for 5 turns at the cost of energy. - You could simply give them a constant frostbite like effect from the start of the battle which drains energy each turn while offering the bonus. Players would be able set each skill into passive mode, (5-30% of effect determined as [determined as (focus level + 1) x 5]) and/or active mode again (costing a turn each time) if they need to conserve energy, or activate/deactivate all of them at once for the cost of 10 energy. When a player runs out of energy, the skills will be automatically turned to passive mode, but should be able to be reactivated by draining a players health in poison-like damage for an amount of hp equal to the energy upkeep cost. - Both of a players passive skills could be combined into a single skill, reducing the turn cost to get the bonus and opening up room for a new skill in each build. Even in this scenario, the energy cost of the skill should be fairly low and the effect should last through the entire battle. Thank you for reading, one more time for the record, I would like to see this update idea abandoned completely. If that is not an option, I hope you will at least consider implementing one of these alternatives, or something similar to them. - Fever Moved from General Discussion. ~Tanky
