I've been playing the pre-beta after I stopped playing for a while. I know that the game is still in development, so take my comment with a grain of salt. Combat: Honestly, I think the combat is very similar to AQW just turned 3D. We got four skills, although there's no passive skill, and an auto attack button. The combat is very basic. It may make the game "accessible" to casual or young players but its combat is very similar to AQW. It's more like AQW3D than AQ3D. I hope that they can add at least 2 more skills for each class, not counting passive skills. I also notice that the Mage's Fireball skill can randomly get interrupted by an attack while casting. I'm not sure if it's intended or a bug. Questing: The quest is similar to other MMOs, not that it's a bad thing. We got our basic fetch and killing quests. Standard stuff. But, I'm disappointed with the "end-game" quests with ridiculous requirements. An example would be killing Gathmor 10 times. I had flashbacks with Undead Raxgore for Helm of Awe. I didn't finished both of them. I know they're supposed to be challenge or end-game quests, but it can still be toned down a little. Again, "end-game" quests are still similar to AQW with its very high requirements. User Interface: I do like the placement of the skills in the lower right side of the screen. I assume that the track pad would be placed at the lower left side of the screen. Disregarding the placeholder art, the UI is mobile-friendly. Although, would we see actual numbers in our HP, MP and EXP bars? So far, the game feels more like AQW than AQ. I thought the aim of the game was to make it feel like the original(AQ Classic), unless I'm mistaken. Regardless, the game has too much AQW in its blood and I hope that it can be a different game, not just in name, but in mechanics. Since it's still in development, I hope that it can be molded into the ideal game rather than releasing a game with too many flaws.
