+40% guest damage. So it brings it up from 60% of a Melee attack to 84% of a Melee attack.

quote:

Now available from the Blarney War '16: Lepre-Chan

Works kinda like Dunamis/Thernda/Poelala, but is locked to Light instead of being locked to Melee/Ranged/Magic.

He gives a +(0.2 + 0.2*[Your CHA]/[Expected CHA]) boost to Light damage. This affects all normal player attacks, weapon specials, and spells. This is multiplied by *4/3 for Magic weapon attacks, and /2 for spells.

Lepre-Chan gives his boost on the first round that you have him equipped. However, if he doesn't act for some reason, then you lose HP equal to [Your Max HP]/10.

Instead of the level lock thing Dunamis/etc have, Lepre-Chan slowly grows more powerful for low-level players and less powerful as you level up.
  • BUFFER = 20
  • If your level is between [PowLvl] and [PowLvl+20], then there's no adjustment.
  • Otherwise:
    • If PowLvl > PlayerLvl, then AdjustedLvl = PlayerLvl
    • If PowLvl < PlayerLvl, then AdjustedLvl = PlayerLvl - BUFFER
    • The boost is multiplied by (5.25 + 0.5625*PowLvl + 0.00375*PowLvl^2)/(5.25 + 0.5625*AdjustedLvl + 0.00375*AdjustedLvl^2)
(So if you have a version that's somehow PowLvl 100, then everything's the same while you're Lv100 to Lv120. If you're Lv99 or lower and somehow get it, then the boost is increased. If you're Lv121 or higher, then the boost is decreased.)
(Yes, this means that the PowLvl 153 version will always provide a slightly-higher-than-normal boost, 'cause you can only reach Lv150 and 150<153. This is intended.)

Terror Arañacabra

Darkness pet. Has two attacks:
  • 50% chance of Fear attack. One Magic hit, -(1/3) total damage.
  • 50% chance of Claw attack. Two Melee hits, -(1/3) total damage, +5 BTH lean.

On the Fear attack, it makes the monster Afraid (2*[hits connected] turns, [monster Darkness res]*12.9% chance). The monster can resist with a save at a +0 bonus (inflict with CHA/LUK, resist with CHA/LUK).

FSB (pet+shield+weapon): the pet gains +8.5 BTH while the monster is Afraid.

NOTE: The Fear can stack with itself and similar Fears, using the following rules:

  • [Old Power] = [Old Duration]*[Old Chance]
  • [New Chance] is increased by +[Old Power] / [New Duration]
  • [New Duration] is unaffected.
  • If [New Chance] is greater than 100%, then [New Chance] is halved and [New Duration] is doubled. This is repeated until [New Chance] is less than 100%.

EXAMPLE: The monster has an active Fear with 2 turns of 50%. If you use the armour skill (2 turns of 12%) on it:
  • [Old Power] = 2*50% = 100%
  • [New Chance] = 12% + (100%)/2 = 62%
  • [New Duration] = 2 turns.

Just to clarify, the Terror Pet's Fear effect(which is attempted 50% of the time?) is paid for with MC plus 1/3 of its damage right? So both attacks deal 2/3 damage?

The Fear attack should state two hits for hit connected 2 turns of 12% as opposed to one hit, otherwise the traded damage penalty is imbalanced.

You're right! It now does that.

Also, I forgot to include that the Claw attack doesn't get an MC bonus, so I folded it into the Fear attack and now the fear chance is 12.9%.

    Level	15	35	55	75	95	115	135	150

    BtH	3	8	13	18	23	28	33	38
  • Attack #1 (Normal Attack):
    • It receives +5% damage due to MC. So, it does *105% damage.
    • With four equally powerful hits, each hit does *1/4 damage.
  • Attack #2 (Paralyse Attack):
    • It gives up half pet damage for the Paralyse effect. So, it does *50% damage.
    • With two equally powerful hits, each hit does *1/2 damage.
All this has ALREADY been factored into the above numbers.

    Updates

March 6, 2016: The pet was released.
May 5, 2016: The pet became rare.

Default attack is one hit, Melee, randomly Light or Darkness. If it connects, it inflicts Defence Loss (-12 MRM, 3 turns) on the monster. The monster can resist with a save at a +2 save bonus (inflict with CHA/LUK; resist with INT/LUK). It does *1.2 damage for the random element, and -1/3 damage for the effect.

If the monster is already inflicted with Defence Loss, then it does its fallback attack, which is one hit, Melee, randomly Light or Darkness, -5 BTH lean. *1.2 damage for the random element.

Now updated to use these things from Lepre-Chan:
    quote:

Lepre-Chan gives his boost on the first round that you have him equipped. However, if he doesn't act for some reason, then you lose HP equal to [Your Max HP]/20.
(And thus no longer gives the *1.01 "delayed turn" bonus.)
    quote:

Lepre-Chan slowly grows more powerful for low-level players and less powerful as you level up.
    Got this, thanks! ~Carandor

    EFFECT
  • Click* to toggle between Normal Attack** and Freeze Attack††.
  • If at least one hit connects and it does >0 damage, then there's a (25.38*Hits/3)% chance of freezing the monster. The monster can resist with a save at a +0 bonus*:
      Level: PowLvl vs MonsterLvl
      Major: YourCHA vs MonsterEND
      Minor: YourLUK vs MonsterLUK
If the monster fails the save roll, then the monster becomes Frozen** for 1 round. If the monster is already Frozen, it just adds 1 turn to the Freeze.

**The chilling winds have frozen your foe!

    Notes:
  • Ice-element monsters are NOT immune to the Freeze effect of the chilling winds.
  • Usually, Ice-element monsters are immune to Freeze effect.

    DESCRIPTION
"I'm like a walkin' glacier..." "Flutterbies fly." "It's like a boxing glacier." "Please, no glacier references." "Float like a flutterby, freeze like a hybee." "That order makes no sense." "This bug will make your enemy chill out.""Was that so hard?"

    Analysis

Starts off as a standard pet:
    Type G
    Level	10	30	50	70	90	110	130	150
    PowLvl	10	30	50	70	90	110	130	153

    BtH	2	7	12	17	22	27	32	38
  • Attack #1 (Normal Attack):
    • It deals 100% damage (+5% MC, so total of 105% damage).
    • With two equally powerful hits, each hit does *1/2 damage.
  • Attack #2 (Freeze Attack):
    • It deals -50% damage for the Freeze effect (+5% MC, so total of -45% damage).
    • With three equally powerful hits, each hit does *1/3 damage.

MC: +5% damage. (Already Factored on the Normal Attack and Freeze Attack)

All this has ALREADY been factored into the above numbers.
