 No it won't, it wont force them to use staffs. They'll simply have to choose what is most important to them: Taking energy or more Stats/Damage.

That's the same with TLM

That is how the game used to be in older phases you had to make that choice. Sadly now thanks to enough player saying they don't want to do that because other classes don't have to and the staff listening we now have this.

@ SSM

Then why not just either

A) buff all class weapons to be equal in power with swords then make all skills have no class weapon requirements

or

B) Nerf all swords to be equal in power with primary weapons then make all skill have no class requirements.

In other words make all weapons cosmetic in a sense like most of omega has done already. Cause no offense if one kind of weapon has an edge over another while having almost no kind of drawback (due to the important moves being friendly to all weapons while the other's advantage is almost nonexistant) you will always have people choosing the power with little draw back over universal moves with almost not edge.

As we both know Swords were supposed to have balanced drawbacks but all the balance changes have all but destroyed that balance.
