Wind shield, MC effect is that for every attack the mob attempts against you (whether it connects or not), the shield will chomp them at the start of your next turn for (2.5*Hits)% Melee Harm damage. Basically assume 2 hits on average, so the zombie is doing 2.5% damage per attempted attack.
If you are not facing an Undead foe, then the FSB triples the damage output of the shield's MC effect. So you'll instead do (7.5*Hits)% Melee Harm damage at the start of your turn, depending on how many attempted hits the monster did. If you ARE currently facing an Undead foe, then instead of boosting the shield effect, the FSB instead boosts the weapon/armour effect. Since usually an FSB relies on you having your attacking and defending elements being the same (AKA having a Wind element and a Wind armour), the FSB is usually worth 10% Melee for a 3 piece set. Due to this set basically attacking with Light and defending with Wind, and being "optimal" vs Undead, the FSB when vs an Undead is going to be only 5% Melee. This 5% Melee is then divided evenly between the weapon and armour effects, so the weapon's +7.5% damage vs Undead becomes +10%, and the armour's -(7.5/1.4)% damage from Undead foes becomes -(10/1.4)% damage from Undead enemies.
