Looking at Starflame's unofficial deadline I reckon the official deadline e.g. the system wipe that was mentioned is either the Wednesday or release on Friday April 3rd. Basing that on that the war seems to be going to be around that timeframe and the first time that we met Lock and Key (I still have a couple handfuls of Nothing in my backpack).

Up to 115 waves for me. I know I'm a lot slower than a lot of other folk (sorry), but uni work is keeping me busy. Oh, and my estimate for the chance of rare waves has been revised - it's now 3.48%

Just replayed the first Maleurous who was Sinnocence. Previously, players have already surmised that Lock and Key are part of the Maleurous. Upon defeating Sinnocence, there was a cutscene showing the members of Maleurous where each is hidden in a sad face mask. There was only a single pair from these members and they are shown within the woods. Lock and Key are often encountered in the woods so chances that this guess would be highly correct. Can't wait for this war to continuously show more about what we are encountering.

^lock and key being maleurous makes sense but one thing that doesn't is the fact that the avatars didn't bother summoning us whenever they were doing something unlike the other times with the other members. so what makes them so different than the others that even the avatars themselves don't notice/ignore their activity?

That's kinda difficult to guess since now that you've mentioned it. It's the first time that the hero was not summoned by the Avatars if they are really Maleurous. Maybe at the conclusion of the war I guess? But it's still a mystery for these two especially with their current role in the game. More questions, less answers for now heh

It's pretty much 100% certain that the sinnocence duo are Lock and Key.

@GLaDOS-i don't doubt that it looks like them and probably is but unless we see the faces(umm...keys??) behind those masks we can't be 100% sure, only like 99%

Farming for this war is a bit harder, since these enemies cannot be 100% one-shotted with one button-press , but I don't complain that we have new enemies to fight.

And Lock and Key being part of the Malerious makes most sense to me. They appeared after our dragon destroyed Valtrith's mask (Calamity and it's Epilogue happened in 2/2017, Leftovers was released in 3/2017), the two Malerious from Sinnocence are almost 100% Lock and Key and their powers are so different and unique, similarily to the other Malerious we have met.

And maybe the Avatars don't remember their existence? We have seen Lock and Key being able to make us forget they exist every time we meet them. We also don't know what Key did to us in "The Duo".

march is always lucky day so it could just be correlation and not causation... i mean sinnocence and the maleurous were only first mentioned on july 2018 over a year after that

@Star, yes I know they will post if official, what I mean is that the boss/ending of the war is likely to be that week's release.

People are saying they first appeared for Lucky Day, wasn't it for April Fool's? Or was it a Lucky Day, April Fool's Crossover? I've always associated them, and the nothing they drop, as April Fool's.

@HW666 Funnily when you mentioned about offscreen death it made me think of Disney, and for some reason Beauty and the Beast popped to mind. I say funnily because the Manaweaver whose name you cannot remember is called Belle.

It seems all the enemies have had their health nerfed. Murmur went from 1300 to 250. Don't know if this was really necessary but I suppose it will make waves a tiny bit faster I guess?

And now murmur is back to about 800 HP. Guess devs decided 200 was too low.
