Hi,

I would like to discuss if booster pets/guests should gain double the boost on the next turn during a celerity turn.

1. Other types of boosts stack, namely bun-barret/pig drake. Inconsistent game mechanics, and cherry picking.
2. Other effects stack. If your pet/guest does ele vuln, blind, daze, fear etc etc etc etc they will stack. Inconsistent, and cherry picking again.
3. With guests, it is taking your upkeep cost twice, for NO EFFECT ENHANCEMENT.
*Important*-> 4. Booster pets, if on a celerity turn, the stack would technically be on a 1 turn delay. This is just like block boosting pets/guests, which as mentioned, STACK. So are we cherry picking one effect and say it's ok to stack, but other effects no?

a. With the booster pets out, you attack with the single round enhancement.
b. If celerity is there, you attack again.
c. Booster pets and guests go twice, and the stacked effect would only help *next round*, not this round.

If you gain celerity , your normal non-booster pets and guests help *THIS ROUND*, so they each go twice NOW.

If it's taking away your upkeep cost, if other pets/guests stack their effects, if other pets get to help you THIS round, if in theory booster stacking would only apply on a 1 turn delay, then WHY doesn't booster pets stack their effect?

I would like to see in this discussion a valid argument as to why this *shouldn't* happen?

The game is now such that, against most monsters all these powerful effects help you mow regular monsters down easily anymore, where the only issue with effects come against boss monsters, which tend to have damage caps and this change wouldnt help at all versus them.

I really don't reason NOT to make this change.

You probably want somebody with a better head for the numbers, but here's my take, for what it's worth:

Boosters do not act on their turn. If you gain player celerity, you gain boosters' benefits on both celerity turns; if you gain a multiplicative damage buff, you multiply boosters' boosts. Boosters' effect occurs on your turn, not theirs, so any pet/guest enhancing statuses (celerity, Sol Neko passives, and Cataclysm skill, etc) do not apply.

Booster pets are always applying their effects regardless of getting a turn. That's why when you can't pay the SP/MP cost, or you tell your pet not to attack, you take damage. You already reaped the benefits. There is nothing that needs to be done to get them to apply. They don't even need to take their turn if you kill the monster before they go. This has been in place for a while so that players would get the benefits of the boost on their first turn.

Yeah IDK why the obvious answer didnt dawn on me. But it makes sense.

I actually was wondering this as I had Envy out, and was thinking about the new wind drake pet with the status potency mode, and then that kind of morphed into booster pets in general...and the answer never crossed my mind. Classic case of over-thinking it through, but I'm happy with the answers as it makes sense.

Thanks !
