Ways to Improve:

>Text: using default fonts is good, but you'll need to do better. The text shouldn't be the main part of the sig, off in the corners is fine, or make it interact with the render somehow.

Making the entire render visible is not important, just show enough of it, in that case you should just show the upper body.

>Background: Definately good for a first, but you should read a few tuts on how to make some good bgs, yours is monotone and a little bit boring (no offense, just constructive criticism) After reading tutorials and understanding the effects of blending options and how things work, you will be making some fresh, cool looking bgs.
