Hey, i'm back again. This time, i want to know if anybody knows what the Flash program is that the Staff uses to draw for DragonFable. If anybody could provide a link, or even just the name, i'd be more than happy. Thanks ;)

A * is a breath -first pathfinding algorithm. It expands nodes in all directions, starting from the ones closest to it, so it always find the fastest path. The only problem is that it is slower than some algorithms like robust tracing. So basicly, the question is: which is more important for the main character: speed, or accuracy?

DF i think uses flash MX, either that or flash 8 but it would not be wise to use flash 8 it is more known

lil boi blue: do you think DF use Flash MX? because AQ use MX(I'm 95% sure), but DF come after AQ, so I think Artix and Zhoom use MX 2004.

yeah thats what i meant 2004 (i didn't even know there was a flash MX vs flash MX 2004 lol) also i dont feel like editing but i mean that for AE it may not be good to use flash 8 right now since it is not well known, people always complain to me that they can't see my art, just a white page

I have Flash MX 2004. It just seems to me that they used a different program to design the monsters, as they look WAY different. I thought somebody said it was like something Stage or something along those lines.

BTW, would Flash 8 have many differences from MX 04?

in all honosty, not really, the only thing it does is give you glowing, bluring, dropshadows, and bevel options for MC's.

Isn't Drop Shadows also in MX 2004? i know i use Drop Shadows for when i color anything. I'll ask in the DF forum too also to find out.

drop shadows are like the LB in this picture http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y158/photo12/waterinwell.swf notice its white in front and black in back, i have MX 2004 and it doesn't have filters, it would be located on the properties tab as a sub catagory

i know that you use variable like if you do 1-5 and on numbers less than 3 you block, but on numbers more than 3 you get hit

same concept
scale of 1-20

>5 = attack
<5 = special
5-20 = attack and 1-5 = special

now for the exact way to say it in AS you'll have to wait for one of the thousands of AS guys that are here

hey lil boi blue. I finally remember that somebody said it was like a Studio or something, and i found "Macromedia Studio 8". Here's a link: http://www.macromedia.com/software/studio/?promoid=BIOA. Would that possibly be the program you think?

flash studio 8 is much much different from flash professional 8, studio 8 is about like...movie production with real clips while pro 8 is just graphic design stuff

Flsg:The speed of everything is basicly a lot faster and accurate
Everyone else:studio is all of the 4 interconnecting macromedia products.
Edit:Yes! I finally figured out how to put multi-dimension arrays on one screen right next to each other! lol
