Actually the Doctor Who enemy who is known to look like a pepper pot is known as a Dalek, so you're one r extra in there. As such I would venture that it was not an intentional tie-in. Still, an interesting theory, but I suspect the r makes a lot of difference there.

The attack animations of the Cloke resemble that of Xenmas, of Kingdom Hearts 2. He pulls a second sword out of nowhere (like how Xenmas pulls swords from nowhere), and slashes with twin swords.

Could it be a reference to that common misconception early in the saga that the 8 Avatar were based on Organization XIII?

I should also note they remind me of how the Nazgul stand in Lord of the Rings: The Third Age.

The Necromantress, little is known of her except she controls armies of monsters...

I am surprised this hasn't been brought up but any relation to Naraku off of Inuyasha?

Exact opposites... Kind of scary:

The Pink Gem is a Gem instead of a jewel... (The Shicone Jewel)
- The Shicone Jewel is also slightly missing a small chunk of itself... So is the pink gem the Necromantress has-
- Another oppisite is that it is a GEM and not a JEWEL...

The Hood and dark robes she wears... (Naraku usually wears white robes)

Naraku usually teams up with people and then betrays them... (She is the one getting betrayed...)

Naraku hates Inuyasha, a powerful person who is the holder of a great powerful weapon... (She hates Artix, a powerful person who is holder of a great powerful weapon)

Not to mention Artix is spoof crazy!

omg i found the cheapest knock off of the devourer it is in the movie the 5th element
were an ultimate evil comes to kill everything and the only way to stop it is by utilizing the 5th element whatever that is

Well, the similarities are striking, but unlike the Fifth Element, we won't be able to stop The 'Galin. Think of him as Juggernaut given a push by a precrisis Superman, stopping him is simply not happening. Anyways, I can certainly see the semblances, but a knock off? Maybe not quite.

Hmm.

In Darklands, there's an old tower.

Dark Tower?

It should be noted that this is a Stephen King book.

Stephen King, if you don't know, is referenced to a few times in Lost.

Lost is one of Maxwell's favorite shows. Stephen King may also be one of his favorite authors.

Its just a tower, why does it have to be a knock-off of stephen king? I'd guess that it was just used because of it's defensive position, or was a remnant from the wars started by the Tyrant discussed in the darklands quests.

Marduk, also known as Agent Smith, is the same equviliant (sp>) as Zeus in ancient Babylonian myth. I'm guessing Minvera is the equviliant of Hera in that respect, but I can't say for sure.

In fact, The Big Guy, Minerva is the Roman goddess of wisdom, an equivalent to Athena.

ouch ancient mythology hurts mah brain. Anyway if you look at it, nothing
is truly original anymore. We even have a saying: "History repeats itself"

Speaking about babylonian myths (sort of), I have just seen again the sneak peak of the Berserker class armour from the issue 3 of The Zardian and I have realized that it looks extremely similar to the armour that Gilgamesh wore when it appeared on Marvel Comics' The Avengers.

Perhaps it should also be noted that a Dark Tower appeared in a much earlier novel... Lord of the Rings. I'm not sure if this is relevant or not but it could be.

The SkyScorcher in AQ could be a reference the "Sky Scorcher" used by Lu Bu in the video game series Dynasty Warriors. They are both polearms and extremely powerful.

I think it is obvious Snarf is a reference to the old Thundercats show, and Asgardian and Valhallan sets are very clear references to Thor. The Epic set even shares the name of the hammer with the Norse thunder god.

Valhalla is the heaven of warriors who fell nobly in combat, and Asgard is the city for the gods.

And the references to the words "Epic" uber sets could be a small reference to World of Warcraft's system of ranking items? =P

The Asgardian Steed has 8 legs, which if memory serves me right, is the number of legs on the horses of the Norse god Odin.
Don't see all 8? There's 6 on the horse... and 2 on the rider... 6 + 2 is 8!

8 also happens to be one of the Numbers from Lost. =P

Mjollnir is the name of one of the weapons and shares its name with the weapon of Thor, the Norse god.

This one's more personal: The armor itself looks like a cross between Tron and Gundam Wing. 0_o

The scene from the Vault seems strangely akin to The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, when the Skull Kid uses Majora's Mask to bring the Moon towards Termina. Replace the Beacon with Skull Kid, and it seems to fit.

The`Galin and Galactus have two similarities. Count them. TWO. They are deific, and they have destroyed planets. I suppose you could throw in they both have a G in there name, but that is petty.

Galactus' real name is Galan. And like the'galin, Galan was killed and then remade by the phoenix force to be the godlike entity Galactus
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galactus
Also, in Dark Cloud 2 "Gryphon" wants to destroy the world using 3 stones and remake it without humans, who he sees as sinful and not worthy of life.
