Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 15:56:12)

Posted.

That blast will do just fine, TJ:) Lamentor has flipped Kitsondra's switch a bit. How Gorst gets out of this one will be amusing.

Edit: Does pain work the same way for the Nazha? I'd assume it doesn't since they're able to take knives and arrows and being lit on fire and not feel anything.

Bastet -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 16:24:12)

Good timing Draycos, I had to edit my post because you acted just before I could publicize it. [:D]
Kitsondra's really dominating the Nazha now.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 16:34:55)

Lol, sorry Bastet:P

Kellehendros -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 19:46:21)

So, we'll see how this one goes. Hopefully Marietta doesn't end up dead because of this.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 20:38:44)

Draycos, I will answer your question in the OOC for all to see.

Yes, the Nazha feel pain. However, it's more of a minor annoyance if anything. They're undead, so losing an arm, or receiving injuries doesn't phase them all that much. The Lamentor received a wound, was then set on fire, and wasted most of his magic on Kit's illusion, and was wounded again. Things didn't go well for him; he was sapped of his magical energies and there wasn't much he could do to sustain himself. He was dealt with in an appropriate way.

They become frustrated and aggravated by injuries though, not cause of the pain - but because of the fact they were hit. Being shot by arrows, stabbed, or set alight makes them angry cause they don't anticipate that. They believe they're all powerful, and so when someone reminds them that they can still bleed, it upsets them in a way.

Zephyrial -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 20:40:03)

Hmm... If Tdub hasn't posted by the end of tomorrow, then anybody else with the desire to do so can help to free Kenet.

I want to brutally murder at least one Nazha before the fight is over.

lol

EDIT: I was originally going to have several Nazha shoot the chains from their hands, and see if you was going to let Kenet jerk them around and swing them into walls and such. But I scrapped that idea.

Zephyrial -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 21:01:44)

That's fine. Keeping him trapped until freed by someone else will be just as good, and probably help his character development moreso than any other option.

As is, the plan is to break out, and smash a face. I might go for Ripper, so as to leave Jagger as a nemesis should the saga continue beyond this battle.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 21:34:33)

If you like short-stories:

The Incident in the North

In relation to this RP, The Incident in the North takes place about a year or so before The Hallows Inn, far to the north. The main character, Toric Valgard, is directly linked to both Lily and Toren and has something to do with the events of the Hallows Inn. The 'Ice Lord', or Varyx, is also part of the same race that that the Nazha's lord is a part of. The other name mentioned in this role play, Sidonis, is also related to Varyx and the Nazha's lord.

"I. Am. KENET!"

"Puny Nazha."

I watch too many movies. :P But that was pretty much how my thought process went. Kenet was going to toss them around like the Hulk did Loki.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 21:51:16)

Lol I'll admit, that would be fun to read.

Edit: So I guess Toric's Travels happens during the time span of the Hallow's Inn then?

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/24/2015 22:06:27)

@Draycos: Toric is out and about during the Hallows Inn, yes. He's spinning a weave of things to come. Chronologically, in this loose configuration of events I have in my head, the next role play would be 'Deep Below', which enjoyed a brief but promising run on another forum. And then after that, I believe the War of the Lords would take place since I have no other ideas that could occur within that time period.

Riprose123 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/25/2015 2:18:41)

I'll be honest. What I think was a time skip frazzeled me quite severely, and right now, I have little to no idea of how to maneuver Maria into anything. I'm mentally struggling to think up a way for her to fight a Nazha or come to the aid of anyone, believably. I'm probably not making myself clear, but I'm not sure how effective she would be, let alone how she would engage, as the last place I had her was under a tree, talking to a small group. Everything kinda just, happened, I guess, after that. Symphony was sitting on a crate, Heinrich was off fighting, and I'm just coming back from finals trying to figure out what happened. I'm just, I don't know, not really sure what I can do, at this point, since it seems to me there isn't much to do past nozing in on someone else's fight.

black knight 1234567 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/25/2015 6:45:39)

My character's down on the ground under Nazha mercy. You could enter the fray.

Bastet -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/25/2015 7:31:35)

To be honest, you weren't the only one that had no idea how to enter the battle.
I felt like I was miles behind since I hadn't had a chance to post before I did. Don't worry, you'll find a convincing way to enter the fray.

Actually, I would not think it to far off that, if Kenet was able to get his hands on one of the Nazha, his strength alone would allow him to pulverize the skull of the Nazha until it is nothing but splinters and a heap of gore.

Ripper is actually smarter than Jagger, and would not go headlong into battle like the others. He observes his prey before moving in - if he even moves in at all. He would know Kenet is to strong to face in close quarters, and if it ever came to close quarters, he would probably use Kenet's strength against him somehow. But I'll leave that decision up to you.

@Riprose: 'Nosing in' on someone else's fight is probably a good thing, as everyone needs help right now. Or you could engage 'Wretch' - an unoccupied Nazha - if you wish to start your own fight.

Tdub -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/26/2015 19:21:29)

Okay I'm INCREDIBLY sorry. I came down with a bad case of sick these past couple of days and didn't even think to login to let you guys know. Just a question, though: where would I need to go to find a Nazha available to fight? I'm more than halfway done with my post, I just need a bit of info.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/26/2015 20:09:51)

If you like, you can start a fight with Wretch, a Nazha that isn't fighting anyone. Or you can help Kenet or Marietta, who can both use some help at the moment.

TJByrum -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/26/2015 20:34:33)

I would wager most of the Nazha are fighting you guys near the gate. It is possible that the fight has spilled into other areas away from the gate, but I will leave that to the player's discretion. Two of them had tried to run for the inn, but only one made it there. You could be fighitng Wretch near the gates, atop the roof, whatever you want as long as it is within reason.

I haven't checked on any recent posts, but last I read Kenet needed help getting out of those chains, and Sorlan needed help because hwas about to be executed by one of the Nazha. Meanwhile, I think most of the other characters were pretty tied up. Marcelline had just killed Lamentor, Symphony and his knight were fighting Frail in the inn, I think Gorst was attacking Kit, Heinrich is currently engaged... that's what I recall at the moment, but the hour's late so I could be forgetting some things. I'll need to refresh later and read the new posts before I give an exact explanation of the events.

But it's up to you Tdub; how do you want to do it?

Tdub -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/26/2015 20:47:11)

For the sake of time, I have an idea that would put me in a fight with Wretch. I'd be able to hold my own for a little while, but after that, I'd need help. I'll deal with that later, though.

Zephyrial -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/26/2015 21:43:44)

No love for Kenet, I see! You were my best hope, Tdub! ;_;

Just kidding. But seriously, I would very much appreciate anyone's help.

Tdub -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/26/2015 21:56:33)

I would have, but I feel it's just not in Lock's character right now. As soon as I clear this thing in the wall up, Lock'll assist Kenet if he still needs it, but you'll probably have it cleared up by then.

TJ, how high is the wall? I probably should have asked this BEFORE I put myself on top of it, but, out of curiosity, I'd like to know.

Draycos777 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/26/2015 22:07:28)

Well, Sera still might be able to help Kenet, if she's focused on what Kit is doing to Gorst( who I'm sure is absolute livid right now.)

Also @ TJ: Is the Nazha's blood poisonous? I recall you saying that their blood smelt foul when Lamentor died, but Kit smells blood differently so I wanted to double check with you.

Riprose123 -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/26/2015 23:23:55)

Zeph, if you can wait until tomorrow afternoon, Maria can give Kenet a hand

Zephyrial -> RE: The Hallows Inn - Accepting (1/27/2015 0:18:36)

I don't really have much of a choice, so I'll take whoever I can get whenever I can get them!
