Zombie Buddy Bulwark

Wind shield, MC effect is that for every attack the mob attempts against you (whether it connects or not), the shield will chomp them at the start of your next turn for (2.5*Hits)% Melee Harm damage. Basically assume 2 hits on average, so the zombie is doing 2.5% damage per attempted attack.

If you are not facing an Undead foe, then the FSB triples the damage output of the shield's MC effect. So you'll instead do (7.5*Hits)% Melee Harm damage at the start of your turn, depending on how many attempted hits the monster did. If you ARE currently facing an Undead foe, then instead of boosting the shield effect, the FSB instead boosts the weapon/armour effect. Since usually an FSB relies on you having your attacking and defending elements being the same (AKA having a Wind element and a Wind armour), the FSB is usually worth 10% Melee for a 3 piece set. Due to this set basically attacking with Light and defending with Wind, and being "optimal" vs Undead, the FSB when vs an Undead is going to be only 5% Melee. This 5% Melee is then divided evenly between the weapon and armour effects, so the weapon's +7.5% damage vs Undead becomes +10%, and the armour's -(7.5/1.4)% damage from Undead foes becomes -(10/1.4)% damage from Undead enemies.

Hollowborn Evoker/Conjurer Defender

Energy/Darkness shields. MC effect is similar to the weapons. During Winter, or in other words, every year from Dec 1st 12 AM to March 1st 12 AM, you take -(10/1.4)% damage. In addition, for 2019 only, this effect will also be active from Nov 26-30, to ensure that you can actually get the full effect of the item once purchased. Outside of those 3 months, the item has no bonus effect. Scales, with lowest level being PowLv 59, sample numbers below.

Paragon Fiend Defender

MC Energy shield, has a similar effect as the Stout Talon shield from Frostval 2017. At the end of a fight you have a RoundsHeld/TotalRounds chance to gain MobPower% Soul Energy (Normal mob gives 100%, boss gives 200%, etc). This only works if the mob is PlayerLv-10 or higher. You can store up to 2000% Soul Energy (shared across all of the giftbox items, and each item does its own roll to add SE at the end of battle), and can click the shield to consume 100% SE in order to take -(5/1.4)% damage for the rest of the current battle, this stacks up to 4 times. You can consume a max of 400% SE in a single fight, and will still have the usual chance to gain SE back after finishing the fight. The shield must be equipped at the end of the fight in order for the SE to be acquired.

Strawberry Shieldcake

MC Light shield.

Gains one strawberry charge per turn. You can click on it to bring up a menu with the following options:
  • 5 charges: Damage reduction equal to 12.5% of an expected Melee attack
  • 5 charges: Elemental shield (against Light attacks, x0.821 damage)
  • 10 charges: Imbue (adds Light element)
  • 10 charges: Suave (bonus to CHA; see table)
  • 10 charges: Hypercritical (+50% Lucky Strike rate)
  • 28 charges: Celerity (player/pet/guest/misc)

    All of the above are quick-cast and last for one turn. There's also an option to skip your turn but generate 20 additional charges. The shield stores a maximum of 112 charges (so four Celerities).
