*You, Alz'ein, Isiri, and Veyla are in a bedroom on Atrea's Midnight Inn.*
Isiri: Thank you for taking the threat of Wargoth so seriously, <Character>.
Isiri: You've been so generous with your time and effort, all for a group of people you barely know or understand.
<Character>: <Dragon> and I have lost a lot in the past. We can't just stand by and not help, when you're all going through worse!
<Character>: I won't pretend that I completely understand who Wargoth is, or that I entirely understand the threat he poses just yet...
<Character>: But I'll do everything in my power to help. I have lots of friends I can call on, too, if we need them!
Alz'ein: ...Sounds like we got pretty lucky, ending up where we did.
Isiri: Or perhaps the Professor knew where to send us to meet <Character>.
Isiri: Are you sure you've never met a human like him? He wore a white coat, and his technology was beyond what we could ever imagine.
<Character>: A white coat and technology...?
<Character>: Um. I know someone like that, but I, uh, I don't think we're thinking about the same person.
Isiri: Hmm... The Empress said he came through the portal with everyone else, but—
Nirios: Sorry to interrupt. Etaos and <Dragon> have returned.
*Scene pans outward to show Nirios, Etaos, and your dragon; Etaos and your dragon have returned from their mission of recruiting allies from Duat, Falconreach, and Swordhaven.*
<Dragon>: <Character>! I missed you! I'm back! You're not on fire! | *Happy roar!*
<Character>: Aw, I missed you too, <Dragon>! How did your visits go?
Etaos: It was quite the little adventure. I'm relieved to see that the assault hasn't yet begun.
<Dragon>: Etaos gave me so many snacks! | *Content growl.*
Isiri: There hasn't been any sign of rifts, but I'm worried about Veyla. She's getting worse.
Isiri: It's possible Wargoth is searching for her, specifically.
Alz'ein: Well he's not getting her. And if that means he takes longer to start attacking, then all the better.
Veyla: ...
<Character>: It certainly gives us more time to prepare. Etaos, did you manage to find reinforcements?
Etaos: Ah, right! About that.
Etaos: We met a Ranger, Zhoom, in Duat, who instantly recognized <Dragon>.
Etaos: He was still initially distrustful of me, since Atrea appearing so close seems to have put his people on alert.
Etaos: They're fortifying their town, and Zhoom has promised to help fight off any monsters that appear, as well.
<Character>: I've fought alongside Zhoom a few times. We can rely on him.
Etaos: That's good to hear. The Guardians were similarly grateful to have advance warning about the next attack.
Etaos: They're still recovering from last time, but they'll send whoever they can spare to at least try to contain the fight in the desert.
<Character>: And what about King Alteon?
Etaos: Thanks to the Guardians, I was able to get an emergency meeting with the King himself.
Etaos: I wasn't sure what to expect, but I get the feeling he wasn't either. <Dragon> certainly put him at ease.
<Dragon>: I got head pats and snacks! | *Happy growl!*
Etaos: After explaining our situation, however, he did not hesitate to promise his aid.
Etaos: "An attack on guests within my Kingdom is an attack on the Kingdom itself!", is what he said.
<Dragon>: I helped! | *Proud roar!*
Etaos: We will have knights assisting in our defense during the day.
Etaos: King Alteon spared no time in issuing his orders, and the knights should arrive shortly.
Nirios: I have underestimated you yet again, <Character>.
Nirios: There are those who would proudly proclaim their status as hero, yet have no allies or deeds to show for it.
Nirios: You and <Dragon> are clearly capable and proven.
<Character>: Well, this isn't our first time saving Greenguard, right, <Dragon>?
<Dragon>: Yeah! We're awesome! | *Heroic grumble*
Alz'ein: ...Just do not let your pride get the better of you. Having allies is all well and good, but you haven't seen what Wargoth can do.
Alz'ein: What happened to Somorah...
<Character>: We managed to stop Wargoth's first wave of attacks. We can do this.
<Character>: The knights and Zhoom will help defend Atrea during the day, and the Ateala can fight at night.
<Character>: Wargoth's forces won't get past us.
Alz'ein: ...
*Suddenly, Veyla receives another headache, caused by Wargoth's influence.*
<Character>: And if Wargoth himself tries to step foot on Lore, we'll all stand against him, together!
*Veyla's headache grows worse as she falls on her knees; this alarms Alz'ein.*
Alz'ein: Veyla!
Veyla: I—
*Isiri casts healing magic to subdue Wargoth's influence on Veyla.*
Isiri: A... A bigger surge of power...
Isiri: I will stay here and protect Veyla. Something is happening, go, now!
*You, your dragon, Etaos, and Nirios leave the Midnight Inn.*
Alz'ein: ...
*Alz'ein leave the Midnight Inn, leaving only Isiri to protect Veyla; Alz'ein, your dragon, Nirios, Etaos and you oversee rifts appearing outside of Atrea, signifying that Wargoth's next attack has begun.*
Nirios: It's begun.
Alz'ein: We'll join you once night falls. If we tried to fight in the sun, we'd be more of a liability than a help.
<Character>: Right. Well, either way, they're not getting into the city! Not on our watch!
<Dragon>: I'll show them real fire! | *Battle cry!*
*Scene cuts to black.*
