I know I'm probably crazy for making this connection in my head, but I always instantly think Dread Pirate Wesley whenever I hear Man in Black. They kind of parallel in mystery until once Wesley has rescued Buttercup though I guess, since he actually has good in his heart instead of being evil incarnate.

The Reign Bringer, Heir Blade etc... looks like the sword in the old Lou Ferigno Hercules movie.

I'll restate the Lunar parallels.

1. Lorithia intervenes, the wolrd is uncreated.
Althena intervenes, the world is uncreated (in a spectacular show of lights)
2. The`Galin whishes to purge creation of its deadly flaw.
Ghaleon wished to purge the world of the flawed humanity.
3. The`Galin wishes to remake the world in his image.
Zophar planned to recreate the world in his image.
4. The eight elemental Lords serve Lorithia.
The four dragons serve Althena, and are alligned with around two elements each.
5. Communicants speak directly with their Lord.
Dragonmasters interact directly with the four dragons and Althena.
6. The`Galin is the deity of Uncreation.
Zophar had the power to cause and assist oppression, disunity, and other such things, and had the power of destruction.
7. Again, the uncreation...
Ghaleon used the Goddess Tower to drain of the magic and life force of Lunar, essentially uncreating it, although a somewhat slower prossess.

Aside from the one epic i cant really draw any parallels but this whole saga always makes me think of the Horrors in Shadowrun.

A horde of malicious creatures that feed off of the negative feelings in the world every couple thousand years. They have their own agents on earth who try to rush their coming (hoping to be saved or some such thing)

And all the races/factions (dragons and elves mainly) have to unite with the younger races in order to stand and fight against them (because hiding will not save the world this time)

Idk why it reminds me of it, i think because the appearance of the horrors (black and red) seems to be a similar coloring to many of the evil/voidish things in AQ.

The beastie in this pic:

Bears a strong resemblance to the main antagonist in the Doctor Who episode, The Satan Pit.

There are some possible Doctor Who references before so this could be another.

Ive been realizing something. Doesnt this sound like the movie Fifth Element ? the basics are the same an evil planet sized being is awaken (devourer) and slowly is heading towards earth (lore) four elements come into play earth, wind, fire, and water a fifth is a weapon happens to be a human female (huntress) shows up all of a sudden in order to destroy this force of destruction. But there is an angent who is trying to stop the the 5 elements to come together. Doesnt this all seem about close to anyone All 8 elements come together the secret ninth becomes the weapon stops the galin for another century. Here is another, the monstwers Wolverine is basically the same wolverine in the marvel comics except its an actually wolverine, crafty huh? And how about the Sword of the ancients I have fact that the swords it based on a story called "The Tale of the Swords of the Ancients" written by the fammed fantasy knife and sword designer Kit Rae heres a link to the story http://www.kitrae.net/the_tale_of_the_swords_of_the_.html. Its actually a good story that is if you have enough time to read it. I just looked though the sword isnt actually a swords but that paticular sword is just a sword but the description is sound to the this story.

Sounds like the Iluminati, different dimmensions, alien races trying to be superior and create superior race, cor-demi, Annuki.

I could go on but I'd need to do more research. Hope this helps.

Robert "Ryuusei" Twain Cartwrite has used the alias "Dragon" in irc logs. In The Tamulai(the author escapes me. His first name was Robert, incidently), Dragon was the term given to (... yet again I forget. I really only read about 100 pages of it) -placeholder-, but he was also known as "Kinslayer". Robert supposedly killed his father, hence the kinslayer connection, and he is also known as Dragon.

Here's something to ponder.

A schism is noted in the behavior of the Others in Lost, as noted when Locke camps with them (when Robert speaks to him, he mentions that some of the Others think Ben is wasting their time with fertility research and should refocus on the island's power).

A schism has happened in NOVA, those who are for Project Epsilon, and those who are against.

So... perhaps... Maxwell knows a little more about Lost than some of us. Or maybe its coincidence. You decide.

The ore viridium that hurts the agents of the devourer seems to be a parallel to the ore iridium, which is common in meterorites. The presence of iridium in a crater in Mexico is also thought to be from the Meteorite that killed the dinosaurs. I'm wondering if this has any signifigance.

The Exodus are (is?) fairly similar to the shadow minions of the Anti-Monitor in DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Coincidence?

Maxwell mentions two characters who share their names with characters from Lost. Ben and Locke.

Ben and Locke in the most recent episode were connected to each other by someone who shared the name Emily between both people.

Ben and Locke met Jacob (or so we think), another character mentioned in the Truth Saga.

The book was RedWall, or part of the series, wasn't it? Anyway, I think you're totally right. In fact, I'm suprised I didn't notice that before.

Taking it a step further...

Jacob, as seen in Lost, is a "figurehead" of the administration of the Others. However, it seems, he is being manipulated by Ben and wielded as the reason for Ben's "outranking" of other Others.

I predict a similar thing has happened in NOVA...

==================

Going back into old clues, I didn't realize a reference to Scrubs. In this log:

http://psyham.googlepages.com/decipheringavys

Maxwell says "You won the race, but lost your mind, was it worth it after all?"

Which is a line from the Lazlo Bane song "Superman", the title song to Scrubs.

Hehe.

The Super Mario Bros. live action movie has something that seems similar to what I so far think of Outland as. The world the dinos got is "dead", and "boke off" of Earth in ancient history, and is an alternate Earth.

AQ is similiar to Deltora Quest in the respect that to unlock the location of the king (saviour {hopes equivalent?}), gems of great power had to be collected. Orbs/gems same principle theirs were in a belt, ours are suspended in a circle (like a belt) in a statue.

Interesting.

We get a spell (Inferno/MegaInferno) that is a "pillar of flame".

The Exodus return in a quest (repeat quest of the final battle thingy).

In Exodus, the chapter of the Bible, God led Moses and the refugees (the Exodus?) with a pillar of flame...

quote:

Exodus 13:20-22
20 And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness. 21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: 22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

This comes from a story I wrote a few years ago for a short story project and has some parallels with the saga.

1) The main villain seeks to eradicate the planet of its flaws

2) It uses various elements as its main arsenal.

3) It cannot be killed, only driven away.

4) The Nexoris race is a group of beings like the Exodus that serve him

The are also parallels with the Pendragon series if any of you are familliar with it.

1) Saint Dane says that humanity is flawed, and he is trying to destroy Halla and rebuild it as he sees fit('unflawed').
The'Galin claims creation is flawed and wishes to recreate an unflawed universe

2) Saint Dane cannot be defeated
The'Galin cannot be defeated

this story reminds me very much of the story in chrono cross alittle too much in both storys the main enemy exists outside of normal space time and it eats the time away destroying existence in the process much like our little galin. the main way to defeat it was to create a new element called the chrono element that brought all the other elements together to bring a perfect unity thus blinking the time devourer out of existence (key word there by the way part of its name is Devourer) in much the same way as its said that perfect unity can save lore. theres other way they are the same but its late and i want to get some zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
