I Learn From The Past But I Still Repeat It.

Megaket Genevus -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 6:34:54)

I found out that there is a Four-Square Cipher, and it seems to be based of another way of deciphering, but is almost the same...

Sorry for (maybe) not making sense, but I've got this heavy headache right now, as well as that it hurts in my body whatever I do.
Ye'll have to figure this out without me as long as I'm in this state.

tomy 2222 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 9:52:36)

hi everybody!!!!!!! did we solved the hands one?

Karika -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 10:05:50)

Bifid cipher with alphabet reversed. (Thanks, Rhowena!)

spoiler:

Sheridan: The meteor shower shall be reaching the Lorian system shortly your Decayedness. The damage could be profound. It could set off an uncreation wave.

Queen Carmella Leifanu: We should alert the WarpForce. This has the potential to directly impact them.

Sheridan: Respectully, your maiesty, The break up of planet Corus is not our concern. If we chose to side with the WarpForce now in defiance of Madder she might drive us from Haden entirely. Or worse, we would have more in common with Haven than the similarity of our names.

Queen Carmella Leifanu: And if we do not we are unfit to call ourselves Hadeni. The biotics may have bizarre and seemingly unnatural biological metabolisms, which require them to consume other biotics to survive, but they are sentient beings born in a manner not entirely unlike us.

Burn -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 10:06:52)

KSlayer solved this, but to the newest clue, using a Reversed Alphabet Bifid Cipher we get:

wow! u guys got it!

Plushie -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 10:24:54)

Now we need to solve only the hands one right?

tomy 2222 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 10:26:16)

we havent solved that one yet?

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 10:37:08)

Wow! Great insight, Rhowena! Yup, we stil have to finish the hands puzzle, although we did make some interesting progress last night.

bosco345 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 12:17:37)

the hands one still isnt finished? dang it

*takes out his notes*

[In Character]
I have gotten this curious paper through unknown channels. It appears to originate with neither the WarpForce or Network. Curiously the ink contains traces of ichor and the paper smells of grave dust and old bandages. I cannot speak to the origin. But if I had t'bet I would wager this is a relatively straightforward case of Fuentidesconcidi's problem,

tomy 2222 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 14:25:13)

ok, does anybody have the Atalntis book-thingy? lol jk

goron link8 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 14:38:39)

i think its egyptian

quote:

only thing i can think of why not is that it is not hieroglyphs

ichor was in greek gods' blood

this could mean it was written by a dieing god and kept in his tomb

or it could be of that race in WF that is born undead
because there undead that doesn't necessarily mean they don't have skin and ichor comes from ulcer as well which is an open sore
and undead in movies and books look like they could have those and zombies are classified as undead unless that race is AE usual undead where they are just skeletons

just looked at the ansewers to previous ones the race im refering to is/are the hadeni

penguin moglin -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 14:42:49)

it is saved as friendsinthewarpforce
also they look like 2 letters put together

Ubear -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 14:54:40)

It's not Egyptian, Egyptians use pictures for words.
Hmm... I wonder what it is..

Karika -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 14:56:40)

Cuneiform maybe?

Megaket Genevus -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 15:15:05)

I thought that it looked like kanji but since I do not have any korean translator or so on my computer, one of ye that have should take a look.
But then again, it was mentioned as something that sounds like Egyptian...

Also, I looked it up, and it wasn't cuneiform, since cuneiform looks like this: [image]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5d/Ama-gi.svg/150px-Ama-gi.svg.png[/image]

tobi728822 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 15:21:30)

It doesn't look like any language I've ever seen

goron link8 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 15:26:53)

if you ever knew anthing about Bionicles some ofthe symbols look like the Nuva Symbols

Coldkick -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 15:41:48)

I've seen that font from somewhere......what was it called ?!?!

Could it be fuente desconocido? instead of Fuentidesconcidi? I have no idea anymore. And I still can't get on IRC....

fuente desconocido means unattributed in english

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 15:57:38)

If you ask me, I think it's just plain old letter substitution, where each character repreesents a letter/punctuation/number etc.
:)

stromy -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 16:00:39)

But why the clue relating to ichor and grave dust then?

Vinger -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 16:02:37)

It is just me or you can't log on chat too?
The archive name is friendsinthewarpforce.Maybe a clue?

stromy -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 16:07:26)

quote:

It appears to originate with neither the WarpForce or Network.

Seems to make that unlikely, Vinger.

Traveler -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery (7/7/2009 16:09:15)

"Fuentidesconcidi" seems to be merely a corruption of "fuente desconocida", which means "unknown source".
