Eldron -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 11:36:15)

Ok gang, here's the scope, forget the first message. The boys in the back room missed something. The new message is the old one translated. Focus on that!

Now where is that darn owl when I need him?

murdering zealot -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 11:48:34)

hes on your shoulder :P

necrolich66 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 12:45:38)

he'ss eating virins? on your shoulder

Ninjaboy700 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 13:14:24)

How about owl although it doesnt work

Dragonnightwolf -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 13:22:12)

take careful notice that he said "Scope" and not scoop which would be a news-type of word.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scope

and while his words may just mean to focus on doing the re-written message, we shall at the least have some handy possible info too.

Go us!

Verlyrus -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 13:36:39)

quote:

Oh dear! that can't be healthy!

Hmm... Senarian Alphabet->Alexandrine Alphabet?->iambic hexameter Alphbet?->greek alphabet? But there is no 'C' in Greek, is there?

Is it the Enigma Cipher still?
It's said to be 'translated'.
yet the letters appear to be english... hurm...

Lord Asrius -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 15:17:57)

It may mean scope as in the big picture or something. Actually i think the use of the word scoop may have been a corruption of scope. But I'm being irrelevant again. :P
I think it's still Enigma, but he did say translated. :P So maybe take out spaces and try some kind of polylphabetic?

Lkeas -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 19:50:42)

I think what he means by "the old one translated" is that he went ahead and solved the enigma part for us since there was a problem with the enigma cipher. So now the question is, what do we do with the translation? There aren't really enough letters to do a simple substitution reliably. Do we need a key for a Vigenere? He keeps asking where his owl is.

Necrotix -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 19:59:20)

But Owl doesn't work,so what does the owl have to do...

mluther -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/23/2009 22:10:44)

He says he needs him. why? it could be the location of the owl. Can we still assume that the key is 3 letters long (if we ever could)

EDIT:What if the key was see? cross the wide sea? has anyone seen my owl? scope out.....is it just me or is there a pattern forming?

darkforcebomber1 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/24/2009 2:33:38)

I think someone already put 'see' in.

Ninjaboy700 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/24/2009 3:07:23)

Try eye wait now im confused

Necrotix -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/24/2009 3:13:44)

See is connected to eye but not directly,and the eye hasn't been mentioned so I don't think its worth mentioning.

Ninjaboy700 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/24/2009 3:15:59)

try

Necrotix -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/24/2009 3:21:37)

On Enigma? Ok,I got nothing with Enigma.How about you try,I'm not so good with it...Even after reading instructions.It just comes out with random letters each time.

Dragonnightwolf -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/24/2009 15:48:07)

Eldron, a few questions if I may.

1. Is the translated message still to be done in the enigma machine?

YES

2. Would there be another name we could refer to your owl as, meaning another 3 letter word.

NO

3. Is the owl really important towards this puzzle?

YES!!!!!

Lord Asrius -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/24/2009 16:18:36)

Maybe Keeshish would qualify as a PET?
And I think it reveals where his owl is.

tobi728822 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/24/2009 16:20:12)

Well I'm back everyone bring me up to speed. And congrats on making AK Lkeas.

sinani210 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/26/2009 11:50:21)

Isn't Keenish a pet in the reward shop for one of the parts of the devourer saga? (I am so confused i don't even know what ciphers are so ive been reading these but never thought i could contribute too them)

Vivi -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/26/2009 12:13:41)

As far as the "time delay tactic" is concerned, I've been looking at a VIC Cipher for the "lagged Fibonacci Generator"...not sure how this will work out, but I've got nothing else right now.

edit: ...unless "original time delay tactic" was Eldron's way of saying the first puzzle was a diversion >_>

Dragonnightwolf -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/26/2009 20:19:03)

at this point Phoenix anything is worth trying. Because right now I think a lot of us are stumped even though we have some ideas of where to go next.

Eldron -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/27/2009 20:04:44)

*SIGH* I think we can stop beating this poor horse.

UKW: C
Walzen: I V VII
Ringstellung: O-15 W-23 L-12
Stecker: None

Lkeas -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/27/2009 20:23:49)

*headdesks* So that was the ringstellung setting?

Ok, so... we still need a key. Unless there is no key and we just start at AAA. But that gives us this:

TFGB TLKD FVAR LEBS AYAL CIJI

Do we have clues as to what the key is?

EDIT: Nevermind. If you put OWL as both the ringstellung AND the key you get this:

spoiler:

WEHA VEFO UNDI TCOM EQUI CKLY
aka "We have found it come quickly"

goron link8 -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/27/2009 22:16:24)

who exactly is the message for

mluther -> RE: =WF= A Final Mystery part II (7/27/2009 22:40:17)

lol, it has took us WAY to long to figure this out. (Although I didn't help much sense I didn't download the enigma whatchamacalit)

Good job Lkeas!

spoiler:

The message was probably Amada talking about how they found the fortress in the asteroids.
